OMG. Do you think she forgot? I know I like to forget about that horrible time they slept together on that Island. Edited by peaches179, Feb 15 2014, 12:00 PM.

Josh Taylor's Roman was the first one I saw, and I don't mind him much. However, I found him more interesting about a decade or so ago, as he was on more, and I thought he and Kate were interesting together. |

There's all kinds of wrong with JT's version and JT as an actor. He barely bothers to act. I'm sure he's a great guy as a friend to the executive producer, but he knows he's got a job for life so why bother to act? And does he seriously think that "what da hell" is some sort of signature line that everyone loves or something? And I will never believe that he fathered children with DH's Marlena. He looks like he's Caroline's brother or husband, not her son. |

I am sorry, and I never come out against a poster for an opinion. You can even like Fauxman, and I will let it go that JT is your cup of tea as Roman. I may want to send you clips of Drake and Wayne playing the part of Roman Brady to make you see the light, but I will still consider you an individual with a bad opinion, but with every right to have and post that opinion. Strangely, no one has ever posted that sentiment on this unusually intelligent soap posting site. Seriously, when it comes to a message board with wit, wisdom, historical knowledge of this show, and a passion to see this drama overcome 2000-2009, the decade from hell, it's "Daytime Royalty", and I am proud to post with a group with better insight and intelligence than you usually find on sites like these. I use to post at another board, that I think a lot of you posted on too, but I had a different screen-name then. THAT SAID: Anyone who is posting gossip that Deidre Hall dislikes Guy Wilson, or that she doesn't support him, with every ounce of evidence pointing quite to the contrary, happens to be just causing trouble and undue gossip. Is Deidre Hall a "Diva"? At times in the 1980's she could be, and she had issues with her screen time after her return around 1991 or so. I couldn't really blame her in 1991, since they brought her back with what seemed like an interesting story, and then back-burnered her afterwards to showcase more Crystal Chapelle, a woman who was extremely threatened by Deidre and instigated a lot of it. How I know some things comes through general knowledge. Do I have friends in Cali and in the technical part of this industry that permits me to know some things, and maybe an actor or so in the know is an acquaintance? Maybe so, but you don't have to think or believe it just understand that I MIGHT know some things that go on sporadically behind the scenes, and more so in some eras than others. Right now, I have some limited knowledge. Deidre LOVED Chandler Massey and new he was a rare talent. He was one of the younger actors whom occasionally gets chosen by Ms.Hall to nurtured and taught how to thrive in a genre full of hard work and crazy hours. Deidre also loves Martha Madison and Christie Clarke, and I know she remains in contact with those ladies to a degree since they left. That point is common knowledge. Does Deidre Hall dislike Guy Wilson? You can chose to think what you, want and count me a liar, but I am fairly certain I can trust a couple of people, and she does not dislike him. Deidre does not dislike working with him, and actually respects Guy's willingness to research Will Horton's history on the show so he can assert the right dynamics in the scenes he in. I think he even feels grateful for how most of the cast embraced him and supported him in every way possible, especially since he happened to be following multiple Emmy winner Chandler Massey. He had huge shoes to fill, and the cast wants him to work out and started believing he had the talent to make this role his own 3-4 weeks in. Does Deidre miss Chandler, and respects his talent and the way he shaped the transformation of Will Horton during his tenure portraying this true legacy character? Hell Yes, She loved Massey's style and nuances, and she felt the character was in safe keeping with Chandler portraying the role. Deidre has favorites behind the scenes like the ladies above, for example Wayne Northrup (Roman), James Reynolds (Abe), Joe Mascolo (Stefano), and Eileen Davidson (Kristen Blake Dimera). I Did Not Mention Drake, But I'll Be Blunt About This One. 1) She understands that the chemistry between them is palpable, and that Drake playing her opposite has added to the show's success during those roaring 1990's. 2) Even she may though be better friends, and has a more "fun loving" relationship to Wayne Northrup, on screen she feels much more at home with Drake now and they feed of each other with excellence and precision, WHEN Drake and Dee buy the material. She realizes though that even when one of them drops the ball like Drake did before his exit, the chemistry and very close WORKING relationship still is present, even if it is diminished. 3) Is she "besties" with Dte like some actorake? Not quirs I have mentioned, but she is a friend of his, and they have grown more and more close through time. It truely is a relationship of trust and respect. That doesn't mean they go to lunch and would join their respective families together and go on a yacht for a holiday. If is a relationship of genuine care off set, while maintaining a working partnership of abandonment and cohesiveness when they share scenes. SOOOOO Does Deidre Hall Dislike Guy? Absolutely not. She just love the art of acting so much, and thinks Chandler is extremely talented. She still works through scenes with him and coaches him. I know she feels he is talented, and there are other characters that portray family members that she feels wooden in, because they lack the Over-The-Top, and yet still natural aura an actor needs for to make a good soap actor. Deidre is an amazing woman whom loves many and adores her fans. I have favorites I have employed or worked with before, and you do too. However, I only know three actors/actresses she just disliked to the point of open snobbery and/or displaying open public anger over. She is a Diva, and she wants things to be in order with good actors opposite herself in a scene. HOWEVER, there are so many that are 1,000,000 times worse than her, and they have no reason to think they can claim "Diva-Ship" (LOL). She is a consummate professional and just wants the very best writing, direction, and actors possible to allow her a chance to display talent and build a scene. She's a GREAT woman, and even if she doesn't like a co-star, she has Very, very, very rarely caused ANY sort of scene. That said, if you are on the set as a fellow actor and she dislikes you, You Know It! She is the face and persona of "Days of Our Lives"......She Earned That Right!!!!! |

I LOVED them together! They were such a good contrast with each other with Kate being fire and ice, flawed and diabolical, yet sensitive and multi-layered, and with Roman being the grounded, stand-up blue collar police officer and the father of the woman Kate hated. Especially at that point in time for Kate it was such a magical fresh start. Loved them together. |

I have absolutely no investment in Drake coming back unless he brings his A-game again. He was simply awful before he left! I've also been enjoying solo Marlena (as little as we've seen of her), but maybe Drake can get me on his side again. Who knows. Wouldn't it be hilarious if John came back a priest? |

Looking forward to Drake/John returning....god help me, lol. I want a spark and John and Marlena as played by Deidre and Drake do that for me. That being said, not expecting anything at all. After how it ended last time....well it pretty much says it all. I don't know how it could be any worse...but somehow the writers/producers always seem to find a way. I want them (writers/producers) to prove me wrong...just once!!! ;) Come on....you know you want to!! Please..... |

I also loved JT and Lauren together as Roman and Kate. I thought I saw a hint of interest when Roman and Rafe were talking the other day and Rafe told him he cares about Kate but that they are no longer together and he has moved on with someone else. Come on powers that be...don't send her back to Stefano. Let Roman and his Katie have another go. |

I liked Kate and Roman as a concept. Over the years, she's tended to be dealt romances that are plot points/conflict enhancers first and character studies second. But the Kaman storyline was all about the characters and their personalities, histories and motivations. It was impressive but what ruined it for me was - much as I love JT as a person, he just couldn't keep up with LK onscreen. In almost every way. Not to mention that post-Jate/Stan, he was a collosole asshole who all of a sudden forgot who Kate was and what she's capable of. I could get down with a recast though. And I feel really bad about that because JT is such a nice person. |
