Theresa & Daniel, blah, blah. *Yawn."
Kayla and Abe are at the Horton Family Celebration! Abigail baked a cake.
A new viewer since Dec, why does Daniel have to be in everything? I am sorry if someone likes him, but he's full on annoying.
Welcome! P.S......I love the idea of Liam & Kayla! Is MBE the only character not full of plastic? Not that I'm against it, but she is refreshing in her natural appearance! Thank you for the welcome. I am enjoying this show and this board.

I've only heard of the turtle.
Oh dear . . . Posted Image
I think Johnny also has a tarantula. Abby should realize that innocent Dimera pets must be approached with caution. I think they can both fit in the pot.....

Which is why women who get involved with attached men are generally stupid. Then they act shocked when the attached men dumped their asses.
You know...I know it's annoying when people bring up other characters. But seriously. What Abby is doing is right up both Sami and EJ's alleys. Only they did this kind of stuff when they were much older. I mean...maybe what's wrong with her is that she's seen how these two work and has decided to try it for herself. It worked for both of them (heck. It even worked for Daniel) why shouldn't it work for her? I honestly hate defending Abby because I feel like she's a nothing character and I think this story is beyond stupid, but she's no more psychotic, delusional, immature, stupid, slutty, boring, dumb, naive, or hypocritical than everyone else in her story.
I know. it has not escaped me that both ej and sami have pulled these stunts before. In Sami's defense, she was younger than Abbigail. Ej is a different story. When Sam and Ej were doing these things, they took a lot of heat too. the viewers hated them with a passion. Another thing about Sami, she was a messed up child dealing with bulimia, rape, poor self image due to being overweight and parents dying and coming back from the dead, fake daddy vs real daddy and so on. I understood why she was so messed up and destructive. As for Ej, he is a freaking Dimera, enough said. he is expected to be an prick. It is part of his DNA. On the other hand, I can not comprehend and justify why Abbygail is acting this way when she has not been through half the things Sami has been through. She had a fairytale childhood with two loving parents and her life has been enchanted as far as I can tell. I know her dad died a few times LOL. But this is Salem, it is the norm. Everyone dies and comes back from time to time. Well, I don't agree on either of your summaries of Sami or Abby's childhoods.
It's completely possible to enjoy one character doing something and not enjoy it when another character does it. It'd be nice if BOTH sides would just own it. Some people like it when it's Abby and not when it's Sami. Some like it when it's Sami and not when it's Abby. The majority of the time it's not a case of thinking anyone's morals are too reprehensible to watch. If it were, no one would have watched this show past its first episode.

Sami Brady is always like someone who lives in a glass house testing out a rocket launcher THIS. Her stupidity knows no bounds! She actually said to Gabi that it was different for her and EJ because they had children, and Gabi had a baby with Will.
One child is the product of rape, and Sami has no problem with the child of Lucas living with the man who tried to murder him

I don't understand why we have to talk about Abby or women as "side chicks." Isn't that douchebag terminology? Does the show also expect db logic? Because I'm definitely better than that. And I believe much of the audience is as well. Honestly I don't care that Abby is not leaving EJ alone. EJ made his bed. He needs to lie in it. He needs to pay for not only cheating but playing and not staying.
Um what? My post specifically referred to side chicks and side guys. I'm not sure what you want to call the collective group, other than "people who have affairs with people that are in committed relationships." That seems like a lot to type and, to me, side chick or side guy is a fairly benign term and gender neutral to boot.
I don't call them anything. Because the focus should be on the cheater. EJ is the person creating the bad situation, not Abby. He could end the situation tomorrow by coming clean. But by playing with both women he's the problem. With Abby he want fun then run. With Sami he wants to be services or he'll get it somewhere else. He is disgusting. Abby is not blameless. She's having an affair with a committed man. She knows he's committed because she was present at his engagement. She's cousins with two of the children of the woman he's about to marry, yet she's pursuing him. He's a despicable cheater but that doesn't make her any less of a shameless homewrecker.

Yeah, but those guys usually end up cheating again eventually. If you get a man by "stealing" him from someone else, chances are, that same will be done to you some day. I don't see it as getting a man by "stealing" him from someone else. I see a man who's a cheater, if he did it to her, he'll do it to you.

I see nothing wrong with calling a cat a cat in this case a side chick because that is what she is basically. That being said, I am all for calling out a cheater on his cheating except he would not be able to cheat in the first place if slutty little girls like her were not willing to get on their backs and open their legs wide. so they are both to blame.
I recognize that Ej used Abbigail, but the truth is he would not have been able to use her if she did not allow it in the first place. She was well aware that he was unavailable and she gave it up quite eagerly. So now she should not be whining because things did not work out the way she hoped. You don't play in the big league if you can't handle it.
Ej is not playing both women. He already ended the situation by dumping Abby's ass on Valentine day. It is not his fault if she did not get the message. What part of "it is a mistake" didn't she get? He only said the word mistake five times.

Gabi is pointing out Sami's hypocrisy and all the crappy things EJami has done to each other. It's ALL true what she says, and Gabi says that Nick did all the bad things he did because he loves Gabi. It's a chilling assertion, but I can't imagine what Sami will say in response.
Personally, I don't think nick and Gabi have anything on Sami and EJ for doing bad things to each other. Ejami take the cake for doing awful things to each other and pretending it doesn't happen. I don't see the correlation between Gabi and nick. I loved it! And Gabi, for today at least, had the Salem brain. She has never hurt Nick except for that whole rock upside the head and that was because he tried to rape her, but she was dead on about Sami and EJ and how theirs is a pattern of an emotionally abusive relationship. It was a great scene and adds layers to the current Nick story as well as the EJ/Sami/Abby triangle.

I actually agree with all of us having double standards when it comes to our favorites. Confession: I never liked it when Sami was scheming to get Austin. Half the time I wanted to shake some sense into her because I knew she was so much better than that. I loved and supported her despite all of that though.
On the hand, when it came to Ej, I could not help myself. I knew it was wrong, 2007 Ej was my guilty pleasure. I was cheering for him every he would a stunt LOL to get Sami. Good times.
Maybe I am too traditional, but I expect a guy to chase and fight for the woman he loves. But when a woman start chasing after a man who clearly does not want her, it is a big turn off for me.
