Thrilled that Wally is being recognized for his amazing talent. Disappointed Judi didn't get a

When will we find out what scenes they submitted? Do we have to wait until the nominations themselves come out?

I don't think I could even begin to make any predictions without knowing the tapes!

My reaction to current Y&R ...

Praying that Sharon Case gets through this round, always overlooked yet puts in terrific subtle performances. She's in a tough category with so much talent which is hard, but I've seen stranger things before (like Bobbie Eakes up for lead in 2010)

Hoping for this but not expecting it:

Lead Actress

Eileen Davidson
Arianne Zucker
Heather Tom
Sharon Case
Maura West

Congrats to all the Pre-Noms! I'm so happy my 3 faves, Ari, Eileen & Blake, made the cut! :cheer:
I'm crossing my fingers all 3 of them get noms. I'd love to see GV get a nomination as well. The fact that he was on Y&R and GH could help his chances.

Should've not been pre-nom'd.---- Jessica Collins(Avery Y&R in Lead wtf?), Shawn Christian(Daniel, DAYS), Kristen Alderson(Kiki, GH, whose acting went way down hill as Kiki), Lisa LocCicero(Olivia, GH---there's several that should've been over her),

Should've been pre-nominated ---- AMC's Debbi Morgan(Angie...I know she didn't submit), Vincent Irizarry(David) & Darnell Williams(Jesse) in Lead. In supporting---Eden Riegel(Bianca), Lindsay Hartley(Cara) and younger lead.. Sal Stowers(Cassandra). OLTL's Jerry Ver Dorn(Clint), Erika Slezak(Viki) in Lead, In supporting...Melissa Archer(Natalie), Robin Strasser(Dorian) & Florencia Lozano(Tea) & Younger Robert Gorrie(Matthew).

From DAYS should've been pre-nom'd----Supporting---Deidre Hall(Marlena instead of submiting for lead), Suzanne Rogers(Maggie) & Jen Lilley(Theresa), Judi Evans(Adrienne) .

From GH, in Supporting .... Robin Mattson(Heather), Kathleen Gati(Dr. Obrecht) & Lynn Herring (Lucy), Kelly Thiebaud(Britt), Anders Hove(Ex-Faison). And Younger GH, Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma)

They do not have a home yet....apparently things are still being "shopped" and "negotiated"...but there is nothing confirmed yet and if we don't hear something by the time the nominations come out...then I doubt there will be a televised ceremony this year...we might get some sort of Internet based telecast of some sort I would assume (which might actually be much more enjoyable IMO with little to not fluff and filler crap like the last 5 years).

In my honest to God opinion, Just give Lead actress to Heather Tom and Lead Actor to Billy Miller. May not be the favorites, but I think that they will win. I would like to see others win, but anything revolving around Delia's death will win. Billy Miller was fantastic. I would like to see Katherine Kelly Lang win. Every day she gives a consistent performance but is never recognized. I think that she should change her name to Susan Lucci soon. Her scenes with Susan Flannery were amazing.

I like Kristen Alderson, but Kiki is horrible. I would LOVE to see Jane Elliot win again.

I wonder who in One Live to Life and All My Kids chose not to submit. Even in his one week on the show, Trevor St John was better than half the cast.

I can see why Michael Muhney pulled out. No pun intended. Even if they have the Emmy's on tv, it's not like he would show. I'm sure he wants nothing to do with the soap world

I can see why Days of Our Lives fans are frothing at the mouth for Eileen Davidson to not only get nominated but also take home the Lead Actress trophy.

It's been almost forty years since somebody from Days won a Lead Emmy: Susan Flannery in 1975 and Macdonald Carey in 1975 (and previously, in 1974).

That's a long wait!

This isn't true. Deidre submitted as Lead both this year and last year. In the past she hasn't submitted but she has done so plenty of times.

Wouldn't that be a kicker if Shawn Christian ended up with an Emmy nomination? :fp2: I only watch Days so good luck to all its actors. I'm especially rooting for Blake Berris and Casey Moss to get nominations.
Shawn Christian won't only be nominated. He will win.
(And heads will explode on this board)

His romantic, comedic, and medical performances are mediocre to awful, but his scenes with new son Parker are just the thing that Emmy voters love. His best pal scenes with AZ also are genuinely decent to good.

Hasn't someone pointed out before that he has the highest Q rating on DOOL?

As per a post on TWoP, Eric Martsolf is number 1, James Scott is number 2 (hah!) and Shawn Christian is number 3 in the Q scores for 2013 with Christian tying with Martsolf for number 1 the year before.
