Not to be a bitch but aren't the Daytime Emmys widely considered to be a joke these days? Nobody wants to show them on their station and I know that I haven't taken them seriously in years for quite a few reasons, tbh.

Sort of. The problem is that with four soaps left, everyone is a potential candidate; it's no longer reserved only for the very best.
I did my best to sit through most of the awards last year out of pure curiosity and I still want those hours of my life back. I can't imagine why anybody would want their favorite soap or actor to be a part of that circus. The second-hand embarrassment was just so painful and the awards don't really help further the career anymore unless you plan on staying a soap actor, imo.
