I'm sorry but I have to agree with the poster from the other day Will's blue steel looks are distracting.

I wish he was a bit more emotional I think that would work better with Sonny.

At this point I would believe he is an automaton that Stefano has created.
I don't mind Guy, I think he's doing fine overall. But admittedly, I was kind of hoping that stiffness was still just kind of a leftover of being new, but now I don't think so. :-/

I've already gushed too much in my last post, but I just think Freddie does a lot with his eyes and when you pan over to Guy, his seem a tiny bit dead in contrast. I dunno, maybe he'll continue loosening up. I hope so.
That's how I feel. Freddy is so expressive with his eyes its an odd mismatch. He just seems dead to me.

I want to like him. I'm not hanging on to any Chandler was better stuff. He just seemed so closed.
If Chandler was still here, he'd be doing his odd grinning or laughing thing in these scenes.

Sami should be wth her daughter right now. How disappointing that she left her.
Sami won't be winning any mother of the year awards.
Neither will Lucas. He insisted on being the one to take Allie home. Then he dumped her at Caroline's who is not even all there and went back to the hospital. Shouldn't Lucas have taken Allie to his own home and stayed with her all night in case she has a nightmare and wakes up in the middle of the night. At least, Sami offered to take her home, but Lucas refused.

I was disappointed with both Sami and Lucas today.
Does Lucas have a home? Serious question. I don't think the show has bothered to give him one since his return. It seemed his idea to have her stay at the Pub actually comforted Allie since Nick liked the Pub so much (??), so I don't think that was a bad choice. Didn't EJ also have a part in saying Allie should not go to DiMansion? He said Lucas was right, they had to prepare Johnny and Sydney for her reaction or something. And Lucas wanted to take Allie with him because the only person Allie listens to is Kate, apparently? And it seems he wasn't wrong. It wasn't exactly that he REFUSED Sami's insistence that Allie be with her, which was wise since Sami spent a lot of time looking really suspicious with EJ.

I don't know why neither Lucas nor Sami thought to shield Allie from looking at Nick some more....my guess is so that we could clearly see her looking at Nick. Sween did play that super frantic and, I understand that Sami as a mother would be very worried for her child, but I don't think the frantic-ness helped. It was odd that she INSISTED on Allie looking at her rather than covering her. They both weren't great in those early scenes, I like that Lucas sounded a tad bit calmer though, although still not great. Kate FTW.

Oooh. Okay, maybe they didn't say Arianna was at the pub. I thought they had mentioned it before Will was on the phone later, but I couldn't find it just now. So maybe it was Marlena.

Didn't Lucas take Sheryl to his place for the quickie? But no one seems to have a home. Everyone meets at the pub, club TBD and at the park.

Awww that little girl is breaking my heart - especially in the third screen cap. That's the moment that really got me, and the one I think should win these twins an Emmy.

In past few days/weeks, Rafe had confided to Jordan that Nick was trying to control Gabi.

In today's episode, Jordan said to Gabi:
"In times like this, no matter where you two are now, it just falls away, and he just becomes the person that you loved once. This shouldn't happen to anyone."

The following is my interpretation of what Jordan meant:

Jordan really understood that Gabi really couldn't mourn the abusive side of Nick.

But at the same time, Jordan understood that Gabi could sincerely mourn losing Gabi's concept of her idealistic dream of what she'd wanted to have with Nick, and some of the good moments they'd had long ago.

If that's what Jordan meant, I think it was helpful. She gave Gabi permission to grieve her dreams ... and yet not have to embrace the abuse. It was okay to have mixed emotions. And I think Gabi really needed to be able to experience all those emotions.

When Gabi went in to view Nick's body, I saw her remembering those dreams, but then when she went to reach out toward his face, she recoiled as if in memory of his abuse.

I wondered if Jordan had been a victim of abuse, or if she had once counseled abused women.

Can twins win an emmy or does it go to the one who was in the episode submitted?

I've already stated that I didn't like how either Lucas or Sami handled Allie. But when Lucas left with her, he was intending to take her home, and then she fell asleep at the pub. Going into the pub at all was a compromise because Allie didn't want to go to bed. I still think he should have stayed, and I think Sami should have been there, too.

LOL no probably just the one, but I wasn't sure who it was. Campbell I think? An article said she does dramatic material well.

Grandma's got it covered - along with baby Ari ???

Quite frankly she's probably better off waking up to Marlena / Caroline / Kayla regardless.

This episode was boring for me. I'm relieved Nick is finally gone. Not once did I even get teary eyed by the sadness of other characters. The only part I liked was the montage at the end.
I felt the same way. I also liked Kate refusing to pretend to be anything but glad Nick was gone. I probably would have been moved by Julie, Maggie, and Hope's intense grief over Nick if I had seen them show any level of compassion before now for others that Nick had harmed. It would have made their emotions seemed more even-handed as opposed to idolization of Nick. At least that's how it felt to me.
I'm sorry, but who besides Gabi did Nick harm during this run? I hardly call Nick blackmailing the people who tried to drown him and those covering it up as him harming them. Regarding Ari, if Will had a good lawyer, there would have been no way for Will to lose custody of his daughter. Thus making Nick's manipulation moot and pointless.
Will had EJ for a lawyer. If I had to choose between EJ and Aiden in a courtroom battle,I would definitely choose Aiden although EJ would always have the option of begging,
crying, and crawling to Stefano to save little Ari in order to stay in Sami's good graces.

Btw, Nick really did have a great, soapy exit storyline. The best one since Kristen, imo. He really went out in a blaze of glory. I think that could be seen as a small comfort for those who didn't want to see him gone.

I remember a while ago some posters indicated that it had been quite sometime since Days killed off an important character.I'm not sure whether this was before or after the Stefano shooting.I thought of that when it became clear that Nick was going to die.Perhaps the writers or someone connected to the show does pay attention to the ideas of the viewers.I just hate that the character to die is Nick.
While I understand Kate being happy that Nick was likely dead,I hated the off hand way she told Maggie about Nick being shot.I hated that Sami did not insist on going with Allie to make sure her daughter was okay after having seen her favorite cousin seriously injured.Good mother my ass.I hated that Sami and EJ went to the hospital.I hated the wink EJ gave Sami while they were at the hospital.Loved Julie,Hope,Maggie, and Gabi remembering her initial feelings toward Nick.

God i wish they'd give Rafe and Jordan a decent storyline - they are quite likable.
I've liked Jordan, except when she is talking to Ben,but today I loved her.I liked that she went to help Julie with Nick until EMS arrived and when she indicated to Rafe he did not need to display false concern for Nick, just be there for his sister.I thought Gabi was great with Julie,Maggie,Nick, and Rafe.

I rarely notice anything Sonny does because Freddie Smith is like a Galen Gering. Not much there.

The whole set up to Nick getting shot didn't make much sense to me. It was like the writers tried too hard to create many suspects.

I was thinking about this as I was watching today's eppi, and I've come to the conclusion that if they colored in GW's eyebrows, we'd see the emotion more readily in his eyes, b/c I think he's doing everything right, it's just we pick up a lot of our cues subconsciously from eyebrow position and it's very hard to see his change position b/c it's hard to see his eyebrows, period. Just a little bit of color would go a long way, imho.

Such a good episode actually had to put my cell down and watch just about every scene.
Maggie that I used to love is so much better when her egg baby isn't around. KA nailed her scenes looking over a dead Nick. And as always SSH was spot on and needs to be on so much more. Wish Doug was used for these episodes as well. I hope we get some good Jennifer/JJ scenes as Abby tells them what happened. I had to laugh the way Kate just nonchalantly told Maggie Nick was shot. LK imo is so good at playing the bitch and was very in character for Kate not to give two fucks. Lastly, the twins that play Allie outshined AS and that's sad. Looking forward to the rest of the fallout.
