IDK, I'm not sure Nick taught us any lessons that are okay to apply to real life.... On the picture of EM; I hope that scruff means we're getting dark Brady in 2015, or whenever the stuff filmed today will be aired.
Nick Fallon Life Lessons: 1)If you are sexually assaulted, report the assault to authorities immediately. It will likely prevent further assaults to you and others. 2)Being the victim of sexual assault is traumatic, seek professional counseling as soon as possible.Even if you are not sure you need it. 3)When you have problems and your family reaches out to you, accept their help, they love you. 4)As long as you live, there is time to repent. Occasionally soaps provide impetus for viewers to get the help they need in their own lives. That is how I understood the blog post.
If someone learned that from Nick's story, I'm happy for them, but the writing didn't actually teach any of those things. What it actually showed was 1. If you get sexually assaulted, say nothing. If you do, not only will you make an enemy of your rapist for life, the justice system is controlled by inept people who'll release him, allowing him to terrorize you and several others. 2. You can't count on your family. Sure, they say all the right things, but the second things get hard, or they get distracted by the latest shiny thing, they'll completely forget about you until it's too late. 3. Sincerely sorry about the things you did? Well, that's just too bad, because the rest of the town thinks that forgiveness is only for them and their loved ones. 4. Feel free to spread the misery and take advantage of vulnerable people. They'll forgive you as long as you don't push it too far. 5. Go ahead and seek help once you realize you're in too deep, but it won't matter, because you've pissed off the wrong people, and it's too late for you. Interestingly enough, I saw the lessons as:
1. If you get sexually assaulted you have earned a built-in excuse for all that you ever do wrong (unless your name is Sami). 2. Make full use of your family. The ones that are easily fooled can serve as support for you, the ones that have a happy life you envy can serve as targets for your anger, and some may serve as a way to hold others hostage to your blackmail. 3. Say you are sorry for the things you have done. Sincerity is not needed, neither is actually stopping what you are doing. What is important is to be seen and heard saying you are sorry so that those who know better and don't believe you can become the evil ones. 4. Feel free to spread misery. You have had a hard life and you deserve everything you want no matter if it is at another's expense. If you can't be happy neither should anyone else. 5. Say you are seeking help. It is not important whether you have said it before and it has been a lie, neither is it important whether you mean it now. What is important is to have everyone believe you want to change so that you can escape the repercussions of your actions and once again non-believers can become the bad guys.

I wonder if that's a Chrishell top/dress with the sexy cut-outs in the back or if they're allowing Jordan some spunk in her wardrobe? :)
( I did love the dress Jordan wore on today's show. The first one ever to show cleavage I believe! B-) )

I'm just glad to see Peggy. I think Kristian and/or Deidre both tweeted pictures of her recently, but you never know when Deidre's pictures were taken. Greg's makes it clear that she's working today. I do really like Eric and Caroline and Theresa and Caroline scenes.
Well, u can clearly see the sling around Deidre's arm. So, even, if Greg hadn't said anything, I would've known the pic was recent. That's true, but when I mentioned her I wasn't referring to this specific picture. Just stating that if she posts a photo of someone (when she isn't in a splint) that it doesn't mean much because she just randomly posts things and I have no clue if they're in any kind of order.

I'm not going to hijack this thread, so this will be my last post on this, but I'm quite a bit more charitable toward Nick due to his actions after he was kidnapped by Jensen. He confided in Maggie and Gabi, broke things off with Gabi, made amends with Will and started therapy. I believe that he was sincere when he said he wanted to change, and I think he would have had a good chance of succeeding if he'd had a strong support system and received more understanding. And it's not that I don't think he was responsible for his actions, but I think he was more sick than evil, but he was held to a higher standard than a lot of the other people in town who actually are evil.

Are you sure? I could've sworn the lessons were: take the law into your own hand, use your past trauma as an excuse to victimize others, take anything you want, (a child, a woman who doesn't want you, and a job) by way of extortion and threats, physical and other means. And let's not forget, don't report the blackmailer to the police, just shoot him. Some people learn from the mistakes of others.Nick was not written as an example of what others should do but rather what people should not do.I see Nick's choices as a cautionary tale for people who might need help dealing with problems in their life but don't realize they need it,It is not as if Nick reaped any benefit from his misdeeds other than short term jobs for him and Percy. In fact he was one of the few characters on the show who made terrible choices, engaged in criminal behavior, and paid for those choices with his life unlike many other characters on the show who continue to be rewarded with children, wealth, and a family support system despite many years of immoral and illegal behavior.

Does anyone know if the actors on the show actually eat the food items sent to them? Given some of the feedback they receive,I find it difficult to believe.

If it's something like Sprinkles cupcakes or an Edible Arrangements bouquet (if that's the right word for it. lol), then I suspect that they wouldn't have an issue eating it - especially if it was delivered straight to the studio from the bakery/store.

Yes, I got your point. Most of my list was pointing out that things worked out badly for Nick, even when he did make the right choice.
I don't think Days is really teaching any of us anything. Okay, done with this topic, I swear.
On the treats - it probably all goes to the crew. I still think it's crazy to eat things that random strangers have ordered.

I saw you said you were done but I really am interested in knowing which points on your list show the right choices Nick made,I re-read your post and I could not see anything you listed as being a right choice made by Nick.

Kristian looks really weird in that pic. since the pic comes from Instagram, I'm gonna blame the filter for the weirdness. The lighting might've not been the greatest from the angle they took the pic, but the filter would've exaggerated that.

Kristian looks really weird in that pic.
since the pic comes from Instagram, I'm gonna blame the filter for the weirdness. The lighting might've not been the greatest from the angle they took the pic, but the filter would've exaggerated that. The lighting or filter might be why her hair looks odd, but the cheeks are another story...
