Why would
Burbank waste money on a new commissary ???
It's owned by the Worthe Real Estate Group now, so maybe they wanted to spruce up the place now that NBC is all but gone from the site. Maybe it's just one of the perks they are trying to help get new clients to fill the empty studios, and having a brand new commissary wouldn't hurt. In the past 5 years, they've lost Ellen DeGeneres, who moved to Warner Bros.; The Tonight Show, which moved to NYC; and the Los Angeles KNBC/Telemundo affiliates which moved to Universal. Soon to go will be Access Hollywood, also moving to Universal. That leaves just Days and a whole lot of empty studios.

Make sense the new owners would upgrade the facility

Do you know the reasons why Days won't (can't?) move elsewhere?

In the article, she said she'd never have plastic surgery because she wants her grand kids to recognize her. "Plastic surgery" includes things like face lifts, nose jobs, implants, etc. things like Botox & fillers aren't really considered plastic surgery as they can be performed by trained non-surgeon personnel, like dermatologists.

I personally don't think she looks that different than usual in that pic. Just compare her smile in the pic in question to her smile in my avi.

So SOD has in the "Stuff we know and shouldn't tell you",

(1) This actress is feeling more settled in her role, but wishes the actor playing her TV dad could remember her name (I don't think this is Days-related)

(2) This show is considering some big-name comebacks

I'm SO hoping the latter is Days-related! B/c lord knows they are gonna need people come next Dec.

Does Days have any big name comebacks left? There are several people I'd like to see return, but I don't think there are any more big names.

I think it depends on what is being considered a "big name comeback". Is it just a well-known actor reprising their popular character role? Or does it have to be someone whose character was popular when they were on, but they haven't been on the show for a fair number of years?

i think i'd classify Nadia & JKJ as big comebacks. I mean they aren't PR level, but few are.

They're not big names, though. And Nadia has been coming and going for years anyway. Peter would seem like a bigger deal if he'd been done longer...and if his exit had been anything to write home about, lol. Molly and Mark aren't big names either.

Would Matthew Ashford be considered a big name? I know it seems like he is definitely dead, but you never know.

I know that 'big name' doesn't imply anything about how long the person has been gone, but for whatever reason I just don't feel like the show would think that anyone who has left that recently is a big name.

I'd like to see Phillip, Chloe, Shawn and Belle return. I don't think those characters ever should have been written out. Plus the show really needs more characters in their age range. Other than that I'd like to see a new crime family and a couple of male villains. I'm not a big fan of bringing back old characters like Bo, Patch, Jack. If they're going to bring back former characters, I'd rather see a grown Andrew Donovan and/or one of Sonny's brothers. Or build up the Hortons by bringing back Sandy Horton, recasting Jeremy Horton and maybe bringing on Hope's nephew Spenser.

I know there are a lot of Matthew Ashford fans who want Jack back. I just feel his last stint was so wasted. I just don't want to see him stuck in another Dannifer triangle again. And that's exactly what would be done with him. I'd rather see the character stay dead than be used in such a crappy manner again.

What a little cutie! We hardly get to see her on the show.(Ariana) She is usually sleeping or someone took her to the park (Gabi or WilSon). Hope we see her this week since she should be celebrating her first birthday.

So adorable!! I know that we've known for a month or so that Harper and Sydnee were still filming but I still enjoy seeing more confirmation pictures. When Jason brought out that casting call for a blonde and blue-eyed year-old baby a while back, I was afraid that the Udell twins were let go or had quit. So glad to see them behind the scenes. :D

Of course this does go back and beg the question...who is getting a blonde and blue-eyed baby/toddler this year?

I would think NBC determines that. They did move to Hollywood from 1984-1989, but other than that, have always been at Burbank. Don't know why NBC chose to keep Days there while moving everything else to Universal though.
