Nothing big (or even small) happened in this episode. But I found it quite interesting that they let different characters speak about Nick's death from their very different perspectives. This gave some depth to the story, IMO (the episode is on YT).
ok, well i'll prob check it out then. To be fair, I only read the first page of comments which were all about Dan. To be honest, I might be the only one who enjoyed some parts of this eppi  . Most of the comments are negative.

I didn't get to watch Tues' epi since it was not shown in the Baltimore area, but just a couple of side comments.
The houses, apts, rooms, only pull out the TV's when it's relevant to that day's show. Then the tv magically goes off screen, just like some cast members.
Since it is a hundred degrees in LA right now,I guess at Halloween and Thanksgiving, everybody in Salem will be wearing shorts with their leather jackets. :blulaugh:

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
I really would like to see Hope and Ciara at their house having these private convos. I want to see Hope as a working mom rushing around in the morning and trying to get Ciara to hurry up. I am just tired of this cheap ass show making Hope and Ciara homeless. If they want to save money they could have Jennifer convincing Hope to move to the HH with them now that Bo is MIA.
I agree with you completely. When Hope didn't really have a story, I kinda let it slide. But now that she's got a story of her own (yes, Haiden getting to know each other and planning the gala is technically a story) and she's part of the Nick's murder storyline (and quite a big part of it at the moment), it would be nice to see her living quarters (whatever they may be). I really don't want to see Hope needing a break from the squad room and ending up at the pub with all those classified/confidential case files sprawled out on a table at either the pub or Club TBD. It would make much more sense to see Hope working in the living room with those files laid out on the coffee table and having Ciara rush in asking about something (it doesn't really matter what), or having Aiden knock on the door because they were supposed to be working on details for the gala over an hour ago & she never showed at their meeting place.
I also miss the Salem PD set. It would be good to see Hope, Rafe, and Roman at work. Lately, they've been using the same set for the police department that they use for the courtroom. I'd be curious to know when the last time they used this set. It had to be within the last couple years because I've seen a bunch of clips with EJ and Rafe there. I can't remember if we saw it in 2013 (I do know it was the "new" set by the time Hope snarked at Vargas after he got arrested. lol.), but we definitely saw it in 2012.

but there's no tv in either one Jason
The Bope house has a TV. lol. ;)
oh right in 2009   It had one in 2011 too - when Ciara faked being sick just so she could be part of her parents' daytime date. The 3 of them watched a movie together. lol.
In fact, I think the Bope house has always had a TV in it.

I forgot to mention my two biggest issues with today's episode.
Nicole is totally unrootable. Of all the crazy and terrible things Nicole has done since returning to Salem, she is for the first time, in my eyes, unrootable. When she miscarried her baby, faked a pregnancy, stole Sami's baby, accused Jennifer of killing her second baby... She was rootable! Something about the way Ari plays every beat of a story makes Nicole look like the person who should come out on top - no matter who she's opposing. However, there is something seriously wrong with this story. It's not even the fact that Nicole destroyed the evidence, because that's totally where I thought the story was headed and actually liked the twist. It's the follow-up that's been terrible. The barking at Marlena, the whole thing with Liam, the inclusion of Dannifer... Everything they've done with Ericole's story since February has been DREADFUL and does not paint Nicole in a decent light at all. I hate it.
My second issue. Where the HELL is John?! I mean, he DID come back to the show, right? Wasn't he supposed to be an interloper for Brady/Theresa and win back Marlena? I literally think he's been on twice since he returned. It's annoying. John makes an appearance next week. lol.

I think the Bope house must have fallen in a sink hole after the Daysaster.
Bo & Hope's House made just 4 appearances in 2012: 4/27, 4/30, 6/1 and 6/4. I just checked the 2011 file, and in 2011, it was only on 12 episodes between February-April 2011. So it had a year's hiatus from April 2011-April 2012. Then showed up for four episodes from April-June 2012, and has been seen since. Thanks for the info, Jason. It's really sad, those stats. The Bope house used to be such a central set on the show. I remember thinking how stupid it was that Bo & Hope were in the Horton living room putting together Ciara's bicycle on Christmas Eve 2011. Now, while the Bope house set (living room/kitchen/full bedroom) has only been seen those few times over the last few years, I believe the Bope bedroom (limbo) set had been seen a few times during that year-long hiatus. And I feel like we saw Ciara's bedroom (probably "limbo" as well) at one point then as well. If the show doesn't want to rebuild the whole Bope house set, then even having Hope & Ciara have private talks in bedroom limbo sets would be appreciated.

I remembered one other thing. Paige said she stopped to see JJ because she saw all the cars. What cars? Only JJ and Abby were there.

I'm the kind of person that when I see a bunch of cars at someone's house, I won't stop for anything. I have no idea what Paige was talking about but I go into a coma every time she opens her mouth.

I did watch this episode. It didn't make sense that they dropped their focus on the murder.
I felt for Abigail and I can see her anger. I think she needs to accept that she's more affected by the whore label than "being used" about the custody lawyer. I understand why that would upset a sheltered girl like Abigail. I mean, the girl was virgin until recently so this is a huge thing for her. Her current reaction is why I always found the affair with EJ so creepy. Abigail is so unworldly and sheltered it just made EJ look like a creepy old man taking advantage of a young girl.
Does anyone else find it fake whenever Daniel calls Maggie mom. I mean, they met when he was in his 40s. So contrived. And it doesn't help that Sean Christian is such a bad actor. He's in Ron Moss territory, specially when he's conveying anger or frustration.
UGH, Sami needs to just stop.

UGH, Sami needs to just stop. I find everything about St. Tan contrived and annoying. He's ruined Maggie and Jennifer both of whom are leagues better and more likeable when they're associating with real family members. SC's "two expressions and one tone of voice" acting just make him all the more unbearable. And if he says "Treesa" one more time...

Gotta say I really hope there's some sort of a big event coming down the pike still on this sweeps........... otherwise I don't see what they can do to save it or even have it begin to compare with last year....
I personally don't think that sweeps is a competition between years. And to be honest, I can't even remember what was going on during last May's sweeps weeks. I remember what happened during November sweeps, but not a clue about May. Do I think that this year's Fetch-centered sweeps were overly exciting to watch? No. But was the show at least trying to create drama? Yes. Would it have been more exciting if the story were told with other characters? Yes. Have Friday & Monday's episodes surrounding Nick's murder been sweeps-worthy? Definitely. This year's sweeps don't really need saving. I think that the stories themselves were decent. Where they fell short: what characters were central, the performances of the actors, & the week-long gap between the dramatic climaxes of the two main sweeps stories.
Last year's sweeps in May was Vargas getting out of prison and Jensen kidnapping Nick and Gabby and Will and Sonny rescuing them & Will got shot & Gabby had the baby. All exciting stuff to me. Vargas....

Where they fell short: what characters were central, the performances of the actors, & the week-long gap between the dramatic climaxes of the two main sweeps stories. Really?
And how exactly are Sweeps not a competition between years, when that's exactly what they are? I mean, do you think the networks aren't following the ratings for Sweeps, when year-to-year that is exactly what they do. And also, they have a right to expect better, as in with any business. And so does the audience, btw. And as it so happened there was plenty going on in last year's Sweeps, even though KA wasn't in the forefront :)
And when did I say there weren't any Sweeps worthy episodes? I thought Friday and Monday were perfectly fine. I never said there was nothing good about this Sweeps. Actually I've been complementing it on another site just the other day. I found the Nick storyline quite interesting. The thing is, were not done with it yet and there still needs to be something for the rest of May. And the performances of actors have been quite alright, that has never really been a problem on this show, I don't see where that came from. And also, if there is two deaths, the gap couldn't really have been any shorter, if anything, it should have been longer.
But thanks for the input. (Quite a lengthy response to a pretty low-key comment of mine, didn't really even know I could awake such interest ;) )

I thought Sami looked good today. The pants and shirt actually made her look really slim.I hated the fact that she did not go to the pub to be there when Allie woke up but was berating EJ on the telephone about not being there for Sydney and Johnny. The handwrititng is also on the wall about Sami going "dark".As soon as she thought Eric heard her say "we killed or murdered Nick" she threw herself at Eric and started semi blubbering about how she did not want it to happen, she did not mean for it to happen.WTF is she talking about. She picked up the phone, dialed the number, and handed the phone to EJ so she can just stop that "I didn't mean for it to happen"sh-t right now. I hated that Jennifer was at Daniel's apartment rather than staying at her house to be there for Abby.I hated the fact that JJ said he did not like Nick when I cannot remember a single scene he had with Nick or anyone telling him anything Nick had done wrong after Nick got out of prison.JJ was dealing drugs in London, dealing drugs in Salem, vandalized Danie's car, vandalized the store, and stealing from the store.Even though Nick called Abby a whore I hated that Abby called her dead cousin a bastard and said she was not going to cry for him any more as if he deserved to die for calling her a name and threatening to tell people the truth about what she had done. I also hated that they wasted time on Maggie with Daniel,Brady, and Eric that could have been spent showing follow up scenes with Hope and Julie or Doug comforting Julie.
A year ago, JJ and Abby came by the pub. JJ found out about WilSon being together and he was fine with it. He also found out that Nick was not being tolerant of them and JJ said he never liked the guy.
When Will came out/got together with Sonny,Sami was not fine with it,Lucas was not fine with it,and T was not fine with it.Based on your post JJ did not witness Nick say or do anything to show he was not fine with Will and Sonny and vague statements made to JJ a year ago about Nick not being fine with Will and Sonny does not appear to be a basis for JJ saying he never liked Nick.Abby was more involved and even she did not say she never liked Nick and I still don't think him calling her a whore and saying that people would be disappointed if they found out what happened between her and EJ is sufficient basis for calling a recently murdered cousin a bastard and saying she is not going to cry for him.You can hate the behavior without hating the person.Family members do it all the time. iheartwilson was just pointing out what JJ said when he met up with Will and Sonny when he first got back to Salem: JJ: Why would I have a problem with you guys being together? I think it's great. What, you don't believe me? Will: No. I totally do. I just, I guess I just wish that everyone in the family was as cool as you. JJ: Someone giving you guys a hard time? Will: Um, a certain cousin, yeah. JJ: Who? Oh, wait. Is it Nick Fallon? Sonny: Yep, you got it. JJ: I always thought that guy was a loser. Be glad he's not on your side. When JJ first got back to Salem a year ago ,after having been absent from Salem for any number of years,he had been a drug dealer in London,he continued to deal drugs in Salem,he was stealing from store owners,he vandalized Dan's car,he vandalized a store, and blackmailed Theresa. To the best of my knowledge he never interacted with Nick once Nick got out of prison and no one ever discussed Nick with him after this conversation with Sonny and Will about Nick "Not being okay with their relationship".If T,who got into a fist fight with Sonny, can change and JJ can have his own "come to Jesus moment",I don't see why the writers would have him restate his dislike of Nick at the time of Nick's death when there has been no basis shown for his continued dislike.I am not saying he should make hypocritical statements about him and Nick being BFF merely because Nick was killed,I am just saying the writers could have left that out.I know what Iheartwilson was saying,I just disagree with the JJ and Abby dialogue being appropriate for the day after Nick's murder.I could understand Nick,Sonny,Kate, and EJ's dialogue concerning Nick just not Abby and JJ.

Not one person in Salem watches or listens to the news?
there were all probably on TMZ watching Solange beat the shit out of Jay Z. i know i was. Nick chose the wrong day to die. Also, how self involved is Abigail - Nick is dead, ceases to be, will never live, is six feet under and all u can fixate on is how he called you a whore like 5 minutes ago - just a mess and sami is doing the most: hyperventilating, crying, confessing - ej come handle your woman. I hope Dan gave Jen an expensive mother's day present - lets be real he's her top priority - her own kids be damned. omg these people!!! Posted Image The writing for this episode is making me hate just about everyone including Abby.

Really? And how exactly are Sweeps not a competition between years, when that's exactly what they are? I mean, do you think the networks aren't following the ratings for Sweeps, when year-to-year that is exactly what they do. And also, they have a right to expect better, as in with any business. And so does the audience, btw. And as it so happened there was plenty going on in last year's Sweeps, even though KA wasn't in the forefront :)And when did I say there weren't any Sweeps worthy episodes? I thought Friday and Monday were perfectly fine. I never said there was nothing good about this Sweeps. Actually I've been complementing it on another site just the other day. I found the Nick storyline quite interesting. The thing is, were not done with it yet and there still needs to be something for the rest of May. And the performances of actors have been quite alright, that has never really been a problem on this show, I don't see where that came from. And also, if there is two deaths, the gap couldn't really have been any shorter, if anything, it should have been longer. But thanks for the input. (Quite a lengthy response to a pretty low-key comment of mine, didn't really even know I could awake such interest ;) ) I'm not sure what Hope/KA has anything to do with whether or not I remembered what was going on during last year's May Sweeps. And as it happens, Hope was part of last May's Sweeps as it was Ciara hiding the letter that resulted in Jensen's release and it was Hope enlisting Vargas' help that resulted in her reaching Smith Island in time and ultimately shooting Jensen. Thanks to all those who reminded me of what was going on last May. :)

Do we know where Eric lives? I thought he moved into Gabi's old room above the pub.
