^^ I agree FS and GW have better chemistry than Chandlers version of Wilson. I loved Chandler's Will and I loved Wilson then but Guy and Freddie have better chemistry in my opinion. While I get the negative comments about Guys "blue steel" looks, I actually think he's a great actor doing a good job with his material. Not really getting the Guy hate but I hate Daniel so it is what it is. Lol. Guy was a worthy recast and if you don't enjoy him please know it could've been WAY worse!

DHer just doesn't have chemistry with GW, imo
I don't think GW has chemistry with ANYONE, personally.
I think GW has more chemistry with Freddie than Chandler ever did.
He's definitely more comfortable in romantic scenes than Chandler was, there's no denying that...but he's a shitty actor all-around. Very stiff, and the constant blue steel to the camera drives me insane.
I agree. Being comfortable in romantic scenes doesn't make him a better actor . He's still not Will to me.

Ooh, now it all makes sense. The reason Abigail feels guilty is because she feels responsible for EJ calling the hit on Nick. Nice story beat and VERY well-played by Kate Mansi.

These Hope/EJ scenes are great. I love that she pulls no punches with him.

For the record, I am VERY excited for Eric's confrontation with Nicole over the Chyka evidence because I know AZ and GV are going to rock it. But as far as Daniel is concerned, Nicole does not owe this pervy, fuzzy bastard any explanation.
But......but......he taught her what loooovve is!!
Which makes NO sense. I mean, really. There was not one indication during their fling in 2012 that Daniel had ANY kind of feelings for Nicole other than the ones he was feeling below the belt. Out of ALL of Nicole's love interests (Eric, Lucas, Brady, EJ, hell - even Victor!), DANIEL JONAS taught Nicole how to love. Daniel did that.

LMAO. These writers are sipping the Daniel Kool-Aid pretty hard these days!

I may be a pollyanne, but I think GG still plays Rafe as recovering from a traumatic brain injury. He delivers Rafe's lines slower and has Rafe reacting slower to everything since his accident.
IMO, he's always acted that slow and looked that tired. And the guy has no personality that I can see.
I'll take tired looking but smouldering hot Rafe's acting over EJ's flailing arms and ott theatrics any day. Rafe has a caring kindness and gentleness about him that is very sexy!!! :wub2:  :blowkiss:
I think his gentleness is extremely sexy too. There is an appealing masculinity is his manner. He has this understated tough guy stance, but such expressive eyes to the soft heart within. A winning combination for me. :wub2:

Adding another opinion to the Guy Wilson comments: The thing I hate most about how far in advance Days films is when new people come on to the show, it takes them 5+ months to see their work on tv. Sure they may be able to watch some of their episodes beforehand on monitors or if they have access to "dailies" but it's prolly different when you are at home in front of your tv watching the show like everyone else does. There's certain things you see that were choices you made acting wise that maybe don't work how you intended and due to the shooting schedule, ya can't see if newer actors change their style after seeing themselves until 5+ months later!

Why does Rafe ALWAYS seem to be on the verge of falling asleep?
Because he's watching the show on his IPhone.

I think chrishell's character wouldn't be so boring if she weren't paired with sandman gering.

Exactly. I loved Chandler and all, but they could have done better with the recast. (But this being DAYS, of course, I suppose they could have gotten much worse too!) Still...he's ruining Will for me, which is a damn shame.

Ah, but one would think a director could point such things out too.

Once again, I just wanted to click the thumbs up button, but I don't like this, I love this. I totally loved WilSon with Chandler and Freddie and thought it would take me a lot longer to warm up to Guy. However, I am enjoying this mature Will and this more mature relationship that Guy and Freddie's WilSon make.

Jordan just hasn't caught my interest yet. We really need the reveal about her past.

One of the things I WAS looking forward to regarding Jordan was the ugly duckling becoming the swan. Yes, I know that's a rehash of the Chloe story but it worked with Chloe, I'm not buying it with Jordan (and both women are stunning in their own way).

Well absolutely one would hope! They just go so fast with their shooting schedule sometimes it appears they just wanna get the show in the can and move on to the next. It would be very interesting to witness a taping and see how much the directors input the actors. I'd pay money to sit and watch! ;)

He's Will to me. I can't speak to any other incarnations of Will pre CM, as I didn't watch the show so I cannot compare any other actor who has played the role. So maybe that's why I'm more accepting and less critical of Guy. I've only been through one recast of the character and by the time Guy had taken over the role, I was over Chandler Massey's listless acting. In the beginning CM was amazing as vulnerable/emotionally battered Will and totally deserved those emmy's imo. But by the time he'd left even I, a most ardent supporter could see that he gave no shits about the character he was playing or the scenes he was filming. But that is jmo, and I wish CM well.

I'm not bothered by Guy's blue steel, I saw a candid photo of him and his sister and she has that blue steel look about her as well, so maybe some of it is just the way his face is. Personally, I do think Guy is a good actor and I'm glad that he stepped into take over a character that is important to me and to play 1/2 of a couple that is even more important to me. If the ptb's listened to some of CM's fans, then we wouldn't even have WilSon on screen any more as many of them thought Freddie should be written out and the two of the exit the show together.

I can't believe how long Nicole held out before she finally caved and told the truth. And seriously Nicole, did you really think even for a millisecond that Dan would agree not to tell Eric ... sheesh.

Nice scenes between Jen and Eric.

Oh EJ, you're losing your touch. You couldn't even 'charm' Abigail enough to convince her that your lies were the truth.

I think Kate Mansi is doing a great job of playing the guilt Abby feels. Abby thinks she set Nick's murder in motion when she talked to EJ about Nick knowing about the two of them. I'm looking forward to the scenes when Hope questions her.

Hope is doing a great job with all her interviews. She had EJ on the ropes a bit when he thought she had pictures of him with Abigail but he rebounded quickly once he saw the pictures. But I loved Hope's tactic of not saying much thus leading EJ to make assumptions he probably never should have and say more than he really had to.

It's been nice seeing Marlena a few days in a row ... now where the heck is JOHN!

In all seriousness, that's what is driving me nuts about the character. Not the pairing with Jennifer and not even the Maggie /eggbaby retcon. I think SC is a great guy and I follow him on twitter. I just don't need to hear every character on the show singing Daniel's praises and trying to convince me that he's the coolest thing since MTV. Oh and I can do without the grabassing too!

I only came to Days with Freddie so I have no idea of the quality of Chandler's acting when he first started, but I am curious did he come in giving emmy worthy performances? I also think that acting in an atmosphere of filming more than one show a day and no retakes, and an attitude of if it is passable keep going would not be conducive to the best in the way of acting. Personally, I see GW as a good actor, but those are just some things to consider if your view is otherwise.
