Eric has always made it plain that the church was his first choice and he chose Nicole because he could no longer be a priest. Sorry but she deserves better than that kind of man. And he is just like the rest of his family, judgemental hypocrites. She deserves some happiness..sick and fucking tired of the writing for her.
Yes. Eric loved being a priest. He had underlying feelings for Nicole, but he made no secret that he loved his vocation. Still, he could have decided to leave the priesthood on his own. Sadly, he wasn't given that choice. Nope. His choices were taken away. First by the bitch that raped him, then by the bitch that covered it up. Judgemental hypocrite? Really?

He hasn't made that clear at all. IMO, he made the opposite clearer (as clear as anything is on this show) which is why it's so ridiculous that she felt the need to do what she did.

Didn't he tell the monk that he loved Nicole more than anyone else including his family? He also told his family the same thing. He showed her that he would choose her over anyone. I still don't understand why she feels insecure.

Nicole's motivation never made sense to me, specially since she went in the journey to find the evidence with the full knowledge that it will help Eric clear his name and keep his job.

I think he was a priest for all the wrong reasons the congo thing and I think as he said in that basement he never stopped loving Nicole but I think he knows in the back of his mind she's gonna hurt him again. I think they should keep Eric true to character Nicole or no-one no Jennifer crap.

When he has the conversation with Nicole, he invariably adds some little comment about the priesthood, though.

There are other examples too.

I don't know. It makes no sense to me that, after a year of redemption, she would face off with Chyka and then destroy the evidence.

Sure. It was a big part of his life, and there were other things that influenced his decision. That doesn't make her a consolation prize.

To most people, probably not. I can see how it translate differently for Nicole with her history, though. That part of the writing isn't what I question. It's the writers destroying all of the character growth she's had over the past year. It makes no sense for her to actively confront someone who almost killed her with one purpose in mind and then change her mind so completely in a heartbeat.

Nicole's name isn't on the papers, but my guess is that Paige shows it to JJ and JJ shows it to Jennifer and then it comes out about Nicole

It says JJ unwittingly causes Nicole's downfall, so Paige gets them. JJ gives them to Eric or Jennifer. Oh please let it be Eric!!! I can't deal if it's Jen!!

JJ has never spoken to Eric, so I assume it will be Jennifer. She will probably give it to Eric and that is how he'll find out

I don't think i was the only one who felt disappointed when the writers inexplicably turned ericole into a story about Nicole deceiving eEri, therwby ruining ericole. I thought this was going to be a love story. Instead it became about how many ways nicole could destroy evidence and still have someone discover it.,as well as about dannifer. :drunk:

So now Nicol e lashes out at Daniel. IM no Daniel fan,but Nicole will be coming off as the hypocrite here.

Honestly, I don't think he's had a conversation with Nicole where he talks about wanting to be with her in which he doesn't also reference the fact that there's a lack of proof to exonerate him. Watching this unfold, there never seemed to be a doubt to me that if he had that proof he would feel that god wanted him to stay a priest and he'd have left nicole by the wayside. He's just said too many times that the lack of proof meant he was supposed to leave. The whole reason he left after he talked to the monk is because the monk was pointing out what a blemish he was to the church.

Still- doesn't excuse this crap. She flat out said she wanted to be his first choice, not his default. By shredding those papers, she lost the chance to ever know which she is. And suddenly, it doesn't seem like she cared anyway.

Ya know Nicole has soooooo many secrets that would shock Eric, like one night with his Dad, and other stuff. He knows she is not perfect. To me the problem is that she thinks he is. There is no way she will ever feel worthy. She will always be trying to be what she thinks he wants her to be ( been there).
:hail: Thank you! I love both AZ & GV, but I just don't think their characters are a good fit. Ericole are really boring. The only thing worse than the whole town berating Nicole, is when she does it to herself.

Hmm...two confessions to killing Nick this week. I'm going to guess that either Lucas, Will or Sonny will falsely confess on Tuesday and Gabi shocks Salem when she confesses on Thursday...? Isn't CB's last week the second week of June? Confessing at the end of May gives her just enough time for some seriously sad goodbye scenes with Rafe, WilSon, Abby and, of course, Ari before she goes.

Brand new week, same boring crap. :eyeroll:
So true.....we are way overdue for some John and Marlena spoilers. It 's never been easy being a J&M fan but this is ridiculous!!! Come on....you have 2 of the most popular actors with amazing chemistry and we never see them together!
Yep. I was never a J&M fan, but even I find the way they are treated deplorable. Dee and Drake deserve better than this. So do their fans.

The Hope and Aiden build up (my reason for watching), seems to have also been given the shaft in favor of this asinine 'murder mystery'. (I like Blake Berris but I never much cared for Nick Fallon. I could care even LESS about who offed him.) And when Hope and Aiden are in spoilers and/or onscreen, I'm lucky if they're on more than 2 days a week, with more than 5 minutes of airtime.
