Or maybe a soap talk show on E! Or somewhere. I just don't see how she is anywhere near qualified to do a generic talk show. |

There are specific qualifications people have to have to do regular talk shows, now? I mean, I'm sure there are qualifications needed to have a successful talk shows, but if AS got a show, she'd join a long line of moderately famous former actors who got shows.

JS thinking Elvis Jr. And Sami deserve a happy ending is pretty warped if you ask me. How does he figure they deserve that? |

Probably for the same reason any other shipper thinks their couple deserves a happy ending. It doesn't necessarily mean the characters themselves have done something that means they deserve to be happy, but that that the characters are a good match and that the writers messed up by wasting time keeping them apart, and a HEA would be a way to make up for it. |

ITA & I think she is more qualified than say, Bethenny Frankel. I remember her asking Ali how sex scenes on Days were different than having sex with her husband-WTF? Ali has 3x as many twitter followers as the Days account does. She has shared her challenges with body image, being a working mother, eating healthy, dealing with the Hollywood rat race throughout her career. She appears on numerous magazine covers every year and many repeatedly ask her to return. Millions of Days viewers have watched her grow up, get married & have children both on the show & in real life over the past 20 years. Ali is relatable & has a built-in recognition factor that would make her very marketable as a host of lifestyle-type show...parenting, nutrition, etc. The fourth hour of the Today show is having its best ratings ever, so I could see them wanting to expand that type of success. |

I don't find Ejami to be a good match at all. I think they bring out the absolute worst in each other. And why should should the show have to make up for screwing the Ejamis over? They have yet to do the same for any other fanbase. I don't see why Ejami deserve some kind of special treatment. |

i don't think there are legit qualifications to getting a talk show, just as to whether or not it's successful. Like I said, I think AS would be a great game show host (much better than Meredith Viera who I think is still on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?). But as far as a talk show goes, I think she'd be middle of the road. Not bad, but not great either. Idk, I could be wrong, maybe she would connect with an audience much better than I'm imagining. |

I would totally watch a soap talk show (but I doubt it'd pull in enough ratings). And I could see her doing something like E! or Hollywood Reporter, those types of entertainment news reporting. |

Absolutely. I think she's only tolerable in small doses. |

I know, the only time I saw it was when Ali was on and I didn't see how anyone could watch it. I think there has to be just the right mix of format & host. With all the buzz & planning, I just don't think Katie Couric quite got that right either. |

^o) Everybody who watches this show cares about where the story goes, on some level. Hoping for an entertaining story is not the same thing as hoping for special treatment. And there are plenty of people who've been happy with the outcome of storylines over the years, so it's incorrect to say that Days has yet to make up for telling stories that people didn't like. |

I personally donīt think Ejami deserves a happy ending but their fans does.
I donīt think Ejamis deserves special treatment but I think they deserve to get what they want just as much as anyone else but itīs impossible to please everyone, but maybe Lucas fans will get what they deserve if they give Lucas a story this fall. |

You know Meredith Viera was just on tv talking about getting a new talk show situated before Steve Harvey and Ellen in some markets. I don't see anything special about her or Stevey Harvey and I rather watch a really good new soap then another boring talk show. |

Sounds like they will have their HEA which is awesome! I just hope that we also get an Ejami wedding as us fans have waited sooo long for this! Still sucks that they are both leaving as they make the show for me, but im glad they are leaving the door open for their return. I hope they can both come back in a few years! |

Well theyre both leaving the show at the same time so it makes sense thay they sould have their happily ever after, no? I mean why not? Why screw over Ejami fans when they can give us exactly what we have wanted for years. If one of them was staying then I wouldnt care but theyre both leaving so why shouldnt they have a HEA? |

Personally I think when you try to write to appease one specific fanbase, you lose respect from the others. And it's never going to be a good situation. even if they chose to appease Lumis or Safes (or ejabby for that matter), you will piss everyone off. So what a TV show and writers SHOULD do is what is right for the story. What is right for the characters and the plots. Ejami, after having burning each other over and over again in countless ways, don't deserve a happy ending together. You don't send a victim off with her rapist. You don't send a gunshot victim off with his shooter. And this last storyline of them apparently plotting to kill Nick is yet another reason why this couple SUCKS the life out of this show. People who inflict misery on someone else doesn't deserve to be rewarded for that. And what's truly tragic about this is, Sami believes EJ has done this FOR HER in an attempt to protect her son and keep his daughter. Instead, EJ did this to save his own ass so that the affair would not come out. That is not romantic. That isn't the least bit romantic. That just makes him look like a giant dickhead who believes its better to take a man's life than risk his fiancee finding out he made (several) mistakes. I just...I can't get over how absolutely FUCKED UP Ejami are and are the least romantic couple I've ever seen with the exception of Hannibal/Alana (and even then I'd probably root for them over Ejami since Hannibal has never physically harmed Alana). |
