I'm a little confused. I started watching days again about 6 months ago. I thought Carrie Brady was with Mike Horton. Is she back with Austin? Thx.
I came back in 2012 to find Carrie with Austin. I did some reading and watched Youtube videos. That storyline went bonkers about a decade ago, imo. The parts I do know, Carrie broke up with Mike and returned to Salem with Lucas. Sami was with Austin. Lots of drama and then a switcharoo. When Sami was with Rafe, Carrie came close to having an affair with Rafe. Carrie found out she was pregnant and she and Austin went back to Switzerland. Obviously there are holes, but that little bit should show the craziness of it.
Iheartwilson did a great job, and I just wanted to add some years along. 1999: Carrie and Mike leave Salem 1999-2005: Carrie and Mike break up at some point 1999-2002: Austin and Sami become a couple 2002: Austin and Sami break up at Sami's Vegas wedding 2005: After Sami and Lucas break up, Austin returns and Carrie returns 2006: Sami/Austin and Lucas/Carrie become couples due to small scheming by Lucas and a larger scheme by Sami to make Carrie think Austin and Carrie will have deformed babies. 2006: Due to EJ (Black Glove's) manipulations, Sami dumps Austin and after Sami's scheme is revealed Carrie/Austin reunite 2011: Carrie and Austin return 2011-12: Sami cheats on Rafe with EJ, Carrie and Rafe begin flirtation, Carrie gets pregnant by Austin, Abby tries to seduce Austin, Carrie/Austin reunite and leave. Thanks loads.

re: Carrie and Austin: When they left in 2012 it was to go back to living in Europe.
April 2014: an update on Carrie:
Will and Sonny get married the first week of April 2014.
At Will and Sonny's wedding reception, Roman and Marlena step outside to use a cellphone and contact Carrie (we didn't see this onscreen).
What we see onscreen: Roman and Marlena come back inside to the wedding reception and tell Will and Sonny they were just on phone with Carrie; and then Roman shows his cellphone to Sonny and Will -- with a picture on the phone. (We viewers don't get to see the picture). From the conversation, we viewers realize that this is a picture of Carrie's baby. The characters don't mention the gender or name of the baby. Roman and Marlena said "They wanted to come to the wedding but couldn't travel via airplane because the baby has an ear infection".
The characters referred to "they" and "them" and never used Austin's name. Therefore, "They" and "Them" could refer to Carrie and the baby alone, or Carrie, Austin ,and the baby.
The vagueness of the word "they" and the lack of mention of gender or name of the baby ... interesting.
It was clear that the writers realized that Carrie should be at Will's wedding -- or acknowledge it from afar. They confirmed her baby was born and that Carrie lives far enough away to need an airplane to visit. And the baby was born! We can *assume* that Carrie and the baby are still living in Europe with Austin.

The show may be intentionally posting these pics to throw people off. They've been "accidently" tweeting these things a lot lately. After the April 21 episode I don't trust anything. I would be shocked if Ej was really dead.
I agree on not trusting this show but If they do fake his death, I think it'll be Stefano's doing and Sami will be in the dark. I don't see how Sami can justify making Syd and Johnny believe their father is dead knowing that he isn't. It would be too cruel to have them grief for 2 weeks (or more) it seems only to have them see him alive and well in a secluded secret spot. It can happen but I think it's less likely. I can see Stefano though doing it though....without second thoughts. I think it's possible that Sami and Kate agree to have Sami run Countess W's chicago office or something....and she goes there...it's not that far from Salem apparently and it offers her the opportunity to return for events as AS wants Sami to do.
Maybe Stefano fakes EJīs death and then in Samiīs last episode he reveals to her that Sami is alive and they get reunited. Apart from that I donīt think JSīs interviews would make sense about the Ejami fans gonna be happy if the summer is all about detroying Ejami I also donīt think it would make sense from the writers. If they didnīt want Ejami to be the rootable couple why put Ejami together in the first place instead of Safe or Lumi. They should pick a direction and stick to it, and if they wanted to end them they should have just done that instead of dragging it out for an entire year. I could have been fine with an other direction if the writers just let me know where the story is going and who I am suppose to root for.
I've never known Days to stick to a direction because a fandom wants it. Look what they did to Ericole. Also, Days is very big on dragging stories out. The writers are never going to let fans know where they are going or tell them who to root for.
Even if it doesnīt seems that way I still think they are going in Ericoleīs direction and that Ericole will get through this.

Tweet to Ken Corday, "How about hiring some writers that would listen to the DOOL fan base, instead of writing for the love of their lives "Dannifer". Maybe then DOOL will still be on the air for another 10 years". Remember the fan base is what keeps this show on the air." :soapbox: That will do you no good. Y'all need to learn something. TomSell may be the head writers @DAYS, but they DO NOT have 100% complete autonomy over the show. All of their ideas have to be approved by NBC before they can proceed. If the network says no, then it's back to the drawing board for TomSell. How do you know that they aren't listening to the fans? They could've come up with somebody that was suggested by fans but was shot down by NBC. Of course, we'll never know that but still.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep

Even if it doesnīt seems that way I still think they are going in Ericoleīs direction and that Ericole will get through this. I think the writers have destroyed Nicole lately. She'sbeing written as an unsympathetic character. One lie after another to eric. And to top it off, although alot of people here don'tlike him, daniel has been just about her only friend, and she is about to turn on him. I think shes being painted into a corner unless she has some big epiphany soon. and honestly,i dont think shes smart enough to see the light.

Love Deidre's caption for her picture with Wayne. "Oh my gosh! Wayne's arrival brought down the house." For many of us, it brought down this board as well.

If the show hadn't lead people to believe that this was the reveal, by doing an SOD article on it, having actors say the episode marked a turning point (which doesn't actually seem to be true), etc. it wouldn't have annoyed people as much as it did. The problem wasn't the dream itself, the problem was the false advertising. The show promised that something important would happen, and it didn't.
Yeah, I have considered that, and I thought about mentioning it in one of my previous posts, but I decided to just mention the theory about how everything involving Sami and E.J. seems to be taken to extremes instead. But I still don't see why any of that was taken at face value in the first place instead of being met with at least a bit of skepticism. I'm really not trying to blow my own horn here, but I know that none of those comments or articles did anything to convince me that the reveal was gong to actually happen in that episode, because it just didn't make any sense that the reveal would have suddenly happened at that particular time. I was certain that the reveal would occur during E.J. and Sami's wedding, as tradition dictates, and no amount of interviews or articles could have convinced me otherwise. It's not like I'm any smarter than anyone else here, and it's not like no one has ever written a misleading article or given a misleading interview or touted a storyline in a way that turned out to be false before, so why were so many people so willing to believe this and so annoyed that their "trust" in the show had been broken when it turned out to be a fake-out? Wishful thinking? :shrug:I mean, people are always saying here that Ken Corday is a liar and that they never believe anything that he says. They've been saying that for years -- long before the articles and interviews about this fake-out surfaced. I've seen people display skepticism in response to things Alison Sweeney has said before, things James Scott has said before, things Jen Lilley has said before, and so on. (If that last name confuses anyone, I'm only mentioning Jen because she is one of the most recent examples I can think of who has said things in interviews that people here have been skeptical about. It didn't matter that those things had appeared in Soap Opera Digest articles -- people still declared that she couldn't be believed [and they were right].) I just don't get why this particular time should have been any different, but for whatever reason, it clearly was.
KEN CORDAY IS A LIAR AND NO ONE BELIEVES ANYTHING HE SAYS. IT'S ALL A BUNCH OF --it. I personally don't think that Ken Corday is a liar. I think, the writing team (or whoever) outline him (in general) what's going to happen, they discuss this and then he talks to the press. He forgets some things, misinterprets some things and that's the reason why we get what we get.

I don't know who has to aprove their ideas but speaking of fanbase (or fanbases), what are they? How do they have to listen to them? I'm pretty sure they still conduct qualitative research (focus groups). And research is the only way to get representative results. I have no idea how they do it (what methodology is used; maybe someting is not OK with that) but they are still doing this aren't they?

The picture of just Deidre and Wayne is EVERYTHING! God I miss the real Roman. I just miss the feeling of Roman being such a vital and important character. Josh Taylor just can't pull it off. I don't think anyone would complain if they switched Romans and made Josh be Chris again.
Also if they don't use Austin and especially Carrie when they knew that CC and PM would be there then they are just cheap as hell. I'm glad to see everyone appears to be on good terms though so there's always hope for a return in the near future. Especially for Carrie.

With Wayne's Roman, I can see Marlena having a deep and loving connection. But with JT's Roman, he doesn't even seem like the type of man who would attract her attention let alone marry.

Believe it or not a lot of us do not like Austin or Carrie. Their last trip back to Salem left me in the land of FF. I can see there being a reason once in a while for Carrie to return for a quick trip back, but please just say no to having her back permanently. Was great to see the pics of real Roman though.

I would love Wayne returning. I could handle Patrick, I like him. If they bring Christie back in the mix I will scream. She more than wore out her welcome the last time! :whip:
Why didn't JS join AS's party since he didn't get one .....I don't think. Has anyone seen a single goodbye to him from the cast other than the johnnys mother? I wonder if he left on bad terms?...with everyone??

Thanks loads. I'm just gonna put it out there that Carrie & Rafe were much more than a flirtation...at one point they were on a bed, taking off each other's clothes. I'm totally on Sami's side when it comes to her belief that Carrie gets away with everything. I believe at the same time Marlena was counseling Carrie to give it a try with Rafe, her sister's husband. It was before grief sex came out. Of course it was all Sami's fault for acting weird with Rafe after grief sex.
