She's not wearing Jimmy Choo shoes unless they're her own. Days doesn't invest that kind of money in their wardrobe. Many of the dresses you see on the show run from $50-$150. What's weird is that many times blouses are the most expensive piece...Sami's blue snakeskin number was $327, Jordan's plaid one was $125 & Abby wore one that was $238. The classic part is every one of those blouses were picked apart on here. I worked for Nordstrom as a shoe buyer in the early '90's and I would refer to those shoes as hooker shoes too, so I get where the comment came from. And I know they are very much in fashion now, but that is still what comes to my mind too. It kills me that my 13-year old daughters wear a women's size 10 because it is super hard to find appropriate dress shoes these days. It doesn't help that one is 5'8" while the other is 5'5' so they don't need those sky high heels.
I think "hooker shoe" is being taken too literally. That phrase is commonly used for regular stilettos. It's like hooker boots...it's not literal. People use that term when they're referring to tall boots. It's not really an insult.
I think they're different type of shoes though. Not every high heel shoes (stilettos or otherwise) are called hooker shoes. Stripper or hooker shoes are very specific type. They have clear pumps or clear heels. Posted Image When you're being literal, yes. But my whole life, people have referred to stilettos, higher heels, and tall boots as "stripper" or "hooker." It's probably a local culture thing.

Yeah, Eric remember the time Sami stole Nicole's baby.....oh wait!
How could he possibly forget it gets mentioned everytime he brings up Nicole's name. Sami needs to go to the same school Kate went to to learn about moving on and forgiveness.
I personally would NEVER forgive and forget if some crazy deranged bitch stole my child from birth to pass her as her own for almost a year and let me grieve for another child knowing she was not mine. Why should Sami forgive Nicole anyway? she never apologized for what she did to SAmi. She feels no regrets or remorse. She feels entitled to the said child and still has some kind of sick obsession about her victim. Nicole still acts like she has done nothing wrong when it comes to Sydney.
Well,EJ stole her baby (Sydney) and made her think Sydney was dead and she forgave him.EJ also raped Sami, blackmailed Sami into giving up custody of her children, forced her to tell he son she did not love him,put her in danger by allowing a convicted felon murdered to live with her and have sex with her,and blackmailed her older son among other things and she was able to forgive him so I don't see why she can't tolerate her brother marrying Nicole. Oh I know all about Ejami's history LOL. I don't want to get too much into this since it has been discussed to death already and we will never resolve it. but I will just say that Ej kidnapped Sydney because Sami tried to keep him from his own child and even gave her to Rafe (a complete stranger at the time) just because she was scorned about Ejole.
I don't condone what Ej did, but I understand it was in retaliation for what Sami did to him. I think taking Sydney was justifiable because that is exactly what Sami was going to do to him, but Ej took it way too far. In any case, they were both wrong and they worked through it.
Besides, a parent taking a child is different than a stranger or a deranged crazed woman kidnapped a child. Sami kidnapped Will once when they were disputing custody and Lucas tried to kidnap Will after he shot Franco. Parents kidnapping a child in soap is no big deal, just another soap staple. A random crazy woman kidnapping someone's child is a monster in my book.

Well, Nicole went to jail for kidnapping and then was treated like the town pariah. Remind me how much time EJ has spent in the slammer for any of his many crimes....

When you're being literal, yes. But my whole life, people have referred to stilettos, higher heels, and tall boots as "stripper" or "hooker." It's probably a local culture thing. You're probably right about it being local.
I just wonder though, where did it start? I think it might've started with "Pretty Woman". One would think street prostitudes will need to wear sensible shoes since there's a big chance they might be standing for hours.

I just googled (I get obsessive about little things sometimes) to see where the term originated and nothing came up. I think the association is connected to the way Hollywood portrays hookers.

I hate the shoes, but the puckering on the back of the dress is just driving me crazy.
Also, now I kind of want to see Sami in shoes with goldfish swimming in them..

The expectation that everyone else should follow suit is more what bothers me about both Eric and Sami. It bothers me more with Sami solely because she's been forgiven so much herself.

I was on another board and they got into a discussion about all the bad things Nicole had done and one poster mention that she had tried to murder Victor and someone else said that she tried to murder him only after he had raped her because he was jealous and mad about her affair with Colin Murphy. Did Victor rape Nicole?

Well I don't like watching rape scenes, but the title of the video saids 'Victor rapes Nicole' so I guess he did. So why does a rapist get to constantly bad mouth his victim? Sorry still no excuse to "killing victor ".

I think they're different type of shoes though. Not every high heel shoes (stilettos or otherwise) are called hooker shoes. Stripper or hooker shoes are very specific type. They have clear pumps or clear heels. Posted Image
It's because of how they lengthen and thin the legs and emphasize the calf muscle. Strippers and hookers get the notoriety of wearing them (and they are usually the ones who wear the 6" stilettos with the 2" sole under the toes too) but any situation where a woman wants to trade on her looks, teetering around on sky high heels seems to be common. Even though they're on their feet and it's tons more painful than gym shoes, it's worth the extra $ they get from the results.

Did anyone else find the lighting for Kate while she was sitting with Lucas distracting? It looked as if someone was shining a spotlight on her face.
I totally noticed that! I think it was suppose to look like sunlight, indicating it was daytime. But it was really odd. I was hoping it was the result of a wrecking ball...what a lousy set.
