Nick’s murderer prepares for life in prison – but has one last confession to make.

I am no fan of Gabi's, but if this is about her I do not like it. By this I mean, I do not like the idea of her going to prison at all, even less for life. I am interested in what the last confession would be.

So there's a connection between Ben and Paige. Now, who (Jordan/Ben or Paige) are/is related to Eve?

Her role in Melanie's kidnapping?

I could see that possibly happening. GW said that Will and Gabi's relationship changes in a serious way with Nick's murder investigation but I can't see him being all sympathetic to her if she admits to Melanie's kidnapping either. If she does I wonder why she just starts spilling.

I think when it says "life in prison", I don't think it means a sentence of life, it's waaay too soon for that, even for a tv show. I think it means the murderer knows that there's no doubt that they're going to prison, so they are preparing for what their life will be like once that happens. Whoever it is, and I too think it's Gabi, will go to prison but could be released and come back just like Lucas and Nick.

I bet Gabi confesses to her role in Melanie's kidnapping and the DAYSaster. Maybe she figures "Well while I'm going away until they age baby Ari and need her to have a chip on her shoulder because her mom was in jail and she has two dads, might as well confess to everything."

It also fits with the last emotional scenes Camilla and Kate talked about. I can see Abigail (can we call her Abby now that Gabi is gone?) blaming Gabi for Jack's death and making a scene out of that. An emotional goodbye doesn't have to be sweet and loving.

I agree that we need to go back to calling her Abby. Abigail just never fit. Good point about Abby and Gabi's last scenes. With Will's relationship with Gabi changing soon and possibly Abby's as well, will Gabi's only friend left in Salem be Sonny while she's in jail? Geez. :)

It makes sense for her to confess to her role in Melanie's kidnapping. After all, Nick holding that over her head and controlling her with it played a huge part in her motivation to kill Nick. Hope is going to ask her WHY she did it.

So it sounds like Jen is the one who tells Eric after overhearing a convo  :eyeroll:

And, of course, there's still the matter of Gabi's role in Melanie's kidnapping to deal with before she exits the canvas.

And there it is.

Also, I agree with stormymac -- I interpreted "life in prison" as "life behind bars", just like one would say "life in Florida" or "life in California". It doesn't have to mean "[a] life [sentence] in prison". A crime like this wouldn't realistically carry a life sentence for a woman who is Gabi's age, anyway.

It does, however, seem to confirm that she goes to prison, as expected -- not a mental hospital or a coffin. It's kind of funny that some of us have been predicting since the DAYSaster that Gabi would eventually exit the canvas via the prison route, and now she will be.

Paige knows Ben? For once, I didn't see that coming. I guess she is related to him and Jordan

Maybe Paige recognizes Ben from her time at Juilliard. I can't think of a better place for someone to hide than New York City. And the original casting call for Ben did call for someone with a musical background....

thanks Will and Sonny

That sounds possible. Maybe, he had a different name

Sounds like Gabi is the killer. So predictable. I do think it's time for her to admit what happened with Melanie

Paige & Ben knowing each other could be interesting, but only if it leads to the reveal of Ben & Jordan's secret. If it leads nowhere, then I could care less.

If Gabi confesses to her role in the Daysaster on Wednesday & the show is pre-empted Thurs/Fri, I'm wondering if Hope's emotional breakdown is a result of this confession. (So Tues' episode could end with Gabi saying she has something else to confess & then she confesses at the start of Wed's epi, leaving tons of time for Haiden to interact.)

It's probably just another clue that Ben has been hiding out is my guess

Eh. I'd be interested in knowing how it is playing out to people who are genuinely spoiler-free and have no idea that Camila Banus is set to exit the canvas in two weeks. I don't think that it's been bad, per se. It was just obvious from the start to anyone who knew that Camila was leaving (and was willing to accept that Gabi was the murderer without trying to look for another explanation simply for the sake of being surprised -- which is circular because they might have been surprised if they hadn't known that Camila was leaving) that Gabi would end up being the murderer.

At least this murder actually happened, unlike the last "whodunit?" with Stefano.

The conclusion of Stefano's whodunnit was a TomSell re-write (of MarDar's story). So I'm not sure it's actually fair to compare it to anything.
