As a supporter of this couple, I'm offended because they aren't treated like other couples plot wise. I've seen the argument that DAYS needs to be careful with how they portray them so as not to further alienate viewers or give a negative impression of the LGBT community, but to be honest, the only people who'd form a negative opinion of any story they're in are those who are already opposed to them to begin with. When there is more than one gay couple per soap is when I think you'll them treated more like other couples on the show. Until then, those of us who are living in the United States where Days is filmed, are living in a country where same-sex marriage is not legal in every state and there is still a lot of negativity surrounding same-sex couples whether we see it in our own homes or not. I completely understand the whole, "if WilSon gets treated with kid gloves then we're not really making any process at all" but when you look back at most other same-sex soap couples, WilSon really is making progress....just not as quickly as some would hope.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deepWhy does Ari "need" to stay with Will and Sonny?
They could have still had joint custody, though. Ari is a baby, and we don't see her every day. Instead of saying she was napping or with a sitter when she's not on screen, she could have been with Gabi.
We can go back and forth on this for months. There will still be people for and against WilSon and WilSon + Ari. WilSon is too happy... they are are a token couple... they are boring... they are the new Dannifer. Lots of thumbs down on many of the posts. And nothing is going to change the fact that Nick was murdered and Blake is gone. This is not like how most of the people on this forum dislike Daniel and Dannifer. Sometimes it seems like some posters are purposely pushing buttons and upsetting fans of Will and WilSon and I for one don't like it. Same goes for the difference between Chandler and Guy. I wish people would just agree to disagree on storylines and actors when there are obviously two different views rather than saying the same complaint over and over again like Daniel & Nicole's conversations. Ever since we knew Will was going to confess, I've disliked coming here more and more everyday. Maybe I shouldn't feel offended, but I do.
I'm sorry that you don't like that other people have different opinions than you and that we've been sharing them. Okay. Instead of using thumbs down, I'll keep saying the same opposing argument over and over again.

Just checked on amazon and you can't preorder her book there because of amazon's feud with Hachette books.Wonder if this will put a crimp in her sales and this is why she is doing so much promotion?

Try to not let it bother you. WilSon gets a lot of love elsewhere on the internet so, to me, it's interesting to get differing viewpoints on them that aren't hate-fueled and dripping with homophobic opinions.
Another example: It's hard to ignore - Will is stupid - on every page. They're all dumb as dirt. Abigail, Will, Gabi, Sami, EJ, Kate all are stupid it hurts. And let's not forget the king of stupid.... Eric Brady and his co- monarch Brady Black. Maybe, I am being hard on Eric because Brady is brain dead.
If you think Will is not stupid argue your point. Why get worked up about what other people think about your ship. People are motivated for all sorts of reasons when they slam a character, you just accept it, disagree with it or don't read about it.

I'm a huge WilSon cheerleader. I joined twitter so that I could send support to both Chandler & Guy once the switch was made. BUT I'm also a soap fan. When it was announced that CB was going to be exiting, there was no doubt the soap would find a way to keep Ari with the guys and I hate the direction they chose to make this happen. Why couldn't Gabi relocate to the Chicago office to pursue her modeling career and they all share custody? I'm one of those WilSon supporters (and I know others) who feels that the writing for them has been slanted so that they always come out on top, and in the process of doing that DAYS has managed to make them boring. I've seen others call for a 3rd party to shake things up for them, and I wouldn't be opposed to that. I've seen them called a "supercouple" (if that word still holds meaning in this age of soaps) and I disagree. Their biggest obstacle since they began dating has been Nick. Big Whoop! The pregnancy secret was a blip because they worked through that in a month of air time. They haven't had a 3rd party actually scheming and putting effort into sabotaging their relationship, whether it be just for the hell of it or because they wanted of them. WilSon is not dull. WilSon is a supercouple. They don't need to be split up 10 times to be a super couple. They have angst and I like what's been shown. They have had third parties try and break them up... the biggest one being Adrienne. Triangles are overdone and they're boring. They aren't treated equal, but I think it's with the love scenes.
Okay, I said something instead of just using the thumbs down button. Opposing view stated. ;)

Another example: I feel like I read this every week on at least on one of the threads. How many times does it need to be said? I'm sorry but I don't watch DAYS for just WilSon and because of that I notice how they stick out and it's apparent to me at least there's a difference in how they are written compared to others. And I don't just mean couples who are dysfunctional. They are never given problems that stem from "individual" issues. Why can't Sonny have an issue with Will always acting irrationally and doing things impulsively that could affect him also. Why can't Will have an issue with Sonny's....wait a minute, what are Sonny's faults. That's right, we haven't seen any. I'm just saying DAYS is a drama and if it weren't for Nick and Gabi the last 2 years, Will and Sonny wouldn't have had any.

It's a discussion board, and one where people have a tendency to be blunt in their opinions about the fictional characters. That's a good thing. There's no reason to be offended by what people think of Will and his custody arrangements and his marriage, unless you're Will, or the opinion is prejudiced in some way.

He's passionate, wants to protect people, wants to make up for not paying for his past crime of a shooting. I love how he said yesterday that he's tired of being treated like poor little weak Will. I felt like the writers were talking to the audience who call him that.

But he's not stupid and that's why I love him!! That and Freddie's eyes and smile.

True Kaha, but the soap doesn't portray those as faults more like attributes to be admired, that he loves Will so much that he'd do anything for him.

Granted that he's much shinier than other soap characters but he definitely has his faults. And yes, Sonny is a shitty dresser. FS is a great looking guy so it's a shame Days feels the need to make his Sonny's shirts so damn ugly...

Gabi being Nick's murderer was really the best way to write her off the show, even if it's predictable. You had both Blake and Camilla wanting to leave the show. And they needed Ari to stay with Will and Sonny. He wouldn't let his daughter just leave.
I give them props for being able to keep Blake's exit a secret at least. That couldn't of been easy.
Why does Ari "need" to stay with Will and Sonny? Gabi could have moved somewhere to model. She and Will could have shared custody just like Daniel and Chloe do. Lucas shared custody of Allie while he was living on another continent. Nick could have moved elsewhere for a job and/or treatment. Nick being murdered and Gabi going to prison were completely unnecessary. We didn't even get a good mystery or trial from this, or anything of the kind. I'm glad she's staying. I think it will be fun to see two guys raising a little girl especially with Sami leaving and not interfering.

Unless Gabi moved away and got full custody, you'd have seen that anyway.

Is "Days" dark for two weeks?
No.
Lol habit wondering due to the fact it seems like every other week is a dark week. They've had 6 dark weeks so far this year, and the last two weeks of the year are dark, so that means the show should only be dark for 8 more weeks between June until the December holiday hiatus.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deepWhy does Ari "need" to stay with Will and Sonny?
Exactly.
This is a discussion board not a fan board.
We give our opinions.
IMO, Will and Sonny are the equivalent of Ward & June Cleaver. Dull as dishwater. Will & Sonny are dumb and to be perfectly honest, Guy is terrible. (I thought CM was pretty terrible at the end of his run too)
To be fair though, there's not a couple that's on Days right now that's worth a crap. The writing is terrible for all of them & at least half of every couple's acting sucks.
