I'm thinking.... I don't know that there will be a way for anyone to post anything that won't just turn everything into a stupid fight.
Well, we don't need tweets for that. We can accomplish stupid fights all on our own.
Can you go elsewhere and tell us (me) what you heard? :P Y'all better go elsewhere where I go.

He also mentioned that AZ was his fave scene partner. He was dutifully throwing a bone to every fanbase he has.
That's nice of him. He could be telling the truth instead of "throwing a bone." AZ is the best actress on the show IMO and frankly it makes sense that AZ was his favorite scene partner.
Sorry I didn't mean to sound like she isn't deserving...I completely think she is. I just meant that he made a point of mentioning something about all the major storylines that seem to come up at fan events...Ejami, Ejole & Ejabby. Considering he & AZ haven't had a scene together in almost a year, I thought it was nice. No worries. :) I agree that was very nice of him. My previous post could have been worded better.

EJ/Abby was a fantastic twist for me.Since Nicole shreded the material that could have proved Kristin raped Eric, they killed Nick, and EJ/Abby affair ended,I have gone back to "enduring" rather than enjoying the show. The main reason I still watch on a daily basis is to look for clues to how the affair reveal will play out.
I got a bad feeling it won't be revealed until EJ is dying. AS said the dream fake-out allowed them to do a totally different take from what the actual reveal will be. That just seems weird to me because I don't see how Sami wouldn't be raging at him unless he is about to die. I hope that is not what happens because it would be really lame IMO. Loved that JS said his favorite scenes were the shower scenes with KM. :D
He was specifically asked if EJabby doesn't come out til the end & he said no. James said there is a huge twist his last day that no one will ever figure out and that it explains why Ejami have never been able to truly stay away from each other. Sami's actually his twin???

Who's Debbie O?
ETA: I just googled her. I see she sets up fan events. Was she setting something up for Drake at one time?
She managed his fan club and was doing his events. I'll leave it at that :D
why leave it at that, it sounds like the start of an interesting story!
I'm with blueskies,Rosebud.Your post seemed to indicate she was doing more than his events.Tell us what you know. I'm sorry if my post seemed to be a big tease. I shouldn't have done that. It really just has to do with her poor treatment of fans. If I get specific it could just bring up a lot of old shit that shouldn't be stirred up all these years later.

James said there is a huge twist his last day that no one will ever figure out and that it explains why Ejami have never been able to truly stay away from each other.
Geez, this sounds like some Stefano sci fi experiment where they are both genetically encoded to be together.

Why ew? They're all great looking guys (except for Daniel, IMO). Good for Nicole and Kate.
Well it doesn't exactly paint Nicole in a very good light, does it.
Oh my god! She slept with more than one guy! Better burn her at the stake. Right? Better burn me too, cuz I'd happily sleep with any of those hotties (except SC :yuk: )

I don't remember the last time JS said "brilliant twist", but he's been saying that the writing is the best he's ever seen for at least the last two years.
Which is why I'm not feeling confident at all about this supposed best twist in soap history. Didn't he also say that him being the Sydnapper was a great twist? I HATED that twist!

Summary of this thread, blah blah blah super couple, blah blah blah super couple blah blah blah super couple.
Like all the other threads on this board are filled with nothing but deep intellectual conversations about important, earth-shattering topics. I didn't mind the topic, I just felt like we were trying to break a record for how many times super couple was used in one thread. LOL

I disagree as well. There is no reason it couldn't be done now. I don't see how today's audience is any different or somehow wouldn't appreciate seeing that SUPERCOUPLE formula. In fact I think it's the reason why soaps are slowly dying.
I definitely don't agree with this. Many soap fans have changed. The viewing audience has changed. Back in the 70's, 80's and 90's, especially, there weren't as many TV channels or other media outlets to keep people's attention. Now if you don't like what you're seeing on one channel, it's very easy to change it to something else and never go back. With some people's definitions of "supercouple" it really takes an extremely dedicated fan to continue to tune in to the show every episode over months and years at a time...through all of the torture that the couple is going to go through, etc...to hopefully get a semi-satisfying ending. I know that I used to tune out for long periods of time when things got too rough to watch or just didn't have enough of a pay-off and I know that I'm not the only one and I'm convinced that it is happening more often with soaps than ever...obviously, since the ratings don't lie. There's a reason why this style of writing has died out, for the most part, and it's unfortunate that the soap writers have yet to be able to figure out what will please and fully entertain the next generation of soap fans but clearly they haven't yet.
IMO this reasoning is why soaps are dying. Oops, I already said that :P If you expect viewers to tune out because you think they have no attention span, and thus you decide you need to serve them up material that's meant to give them instant satisfaction, you are creating your own destruction. Cutting off your nose to spite your face so to speak. Now we get these stunted scenes and lack of character development because they are afraid if a scene lasts longer than a minute and a half we'll switch channels. Problem is, the audience never gets a chance to get lost in a story, and it doesn't really matter who did what to whom because the characters change from one day to the next. Nothing is consistent or long term. Why do you think there has been a renaissance in prime time with shows like Scandal and The Good Wife and Mad Men, etc? Because the give you a full meal and consistent characters that don't change personalities with each new plot. If soaps respected their viewers like they used to, I think they'd be in much better shape. I only continue to watch now because I long for them to wake up and give me that old formula, and because it's hard to give up that hope that it will get better (especially when my faves are still on the show). Need a love button for this post, that is all. ^
The supercouple writing works excellently for soap-ish primetime shows, and is a huge part of their success IMO. Of course those shows have bigger budgets, more time to spend per episode, more professional pride when it comes to storytelling and the quality of the show, and a very different production (way "easier" to write a 24-episode arch than the concept of 5 episodes a week, 52 weeks a year).. But I see no reason why daytime couldn't make supercouple writing work again. It doesn't have to equal big budget, it's all about talented writing. Character development, villains, rootable characters, adventure, building up stories, romance etc. I also like to believe people still have enough brain function left despite the increased use of technology so that soap viewers can keep watching a scene of a good story, of two people who share a great chemistry together, for longer than 30s-90s without losing the interest and switching channels.
Short scenes are probably at least partially the result of Days' one-take policy, but god I miss longer scenes.. Now you blink the eye and miss what you were supposed to see on screen.

Apparently James Scott (EJ) mentioned to someone at the event that the next 4 months are EJAMI fantastic and that there is the most fucking fantastic twist in soaps coming up. Ill believe that when I see it.
Shit just got real. :run:
The last time James Scott said there was a fantastic twist coming up, we got EJabby.
Last time I remember him mentioning fantastic twist was the Sydnapping. Not sure that the fantastic twist to the EJabby story has happened yet. Or it could have been the fake reveal. I think it Is still coming.
He didnīt say fantastic twist but that the road to the altar was gonna be fantastic, and he said it last fall so it has to have happend already. I donīt think they had taped the fake reveal yet at the time of the interview but maybe they know it was coming. I find it a bit contradicting if he meant the Ejabby affair being fantastic since he said in other interview he was disapointed at first but came to enjoy it.

I also think JS might have been delusional as to have damaging the sydnapping and Sami shooting EJ in head was to Ejami, since he talked about it being good That bad Sami was back instead of the boring good version.
Anyway saying that the next 4 months is gonna be Ejami fantastic probably means that they at least will be good if you like Ejami, even if they are not happy together in a twisted way can be interesting too. For the twist to be fantastic EJ needs to be alive to me but I'm not convinced JS share the same view. As for him saying the writinh being really good the last two years it has at least been better than under Higley.
Anyway wasn't Shelle a supercouple at leadt until she slept with Phillip.

Sami's actually his twin??? First thing that came to my mind mind was, he's her brother? ewwww we both had an icky thought. But then I thought, brain chips.
