I wonder if Camilla knew that Nick was blackmailing Gabi? She played her scenes as if Gabi totally believed and trusted Nick, so I'm wondering if that was her acting choice or her being uninformed. How many times have we seen "Well if I'd known I would have played it this way buuut..." Or even better, actors in the same storyline describe it differently.
These writers need to whisper something in the ears of their actors because otherwise the story becomes in cohesive. I wonder is it the writers or is the directors telling the actors to play scenes a certain way.

I thought people here were saying the additional secret is probably her involvement in the Daysaster. Am I mixing that up with something else?

Gabi's more likely then not getting carted off to prison and we still won't see her and Rafe's Mom! :shame: Do you know if anyone is replacing Gabi or not? I don't like CB's acting and her character just annoys me. It's still not clear to me how come she killed Nick. The first time she, Sami and Kate almost killed him she felt so guilty about it and she would always defend him and get into arguments with people. I just feel like it's so out of character for her to kill him

Nick's control issues were obvious, IMHO Gabi is a control freak in a different way. Gabi controls people and circumstances by playing whatever personality that works, be it victim, strong single mom, lover, needy sister, frightened, bossy and a little blackmail of her own. She sure didn't mind using her daughter as leverage against Will and Sonny or playing Nick. And this is not to open up another discussion about weather Gabi should pay for her sins. I'm just saying I didn't really see her afraid of Nick until maybe that last day. Word. She's two-faced and shady. She'll be sweet to you one day, then turn on you on a dime when she's not getting her way. She'll also side with the person with the power to give her what she wants, no matter what kind of person they are.

It's poor writing when we can deduce the murderer so easily based on the end of a contract cycle. I have not been shocked by anything in forever, and it's not like spoilers come flying out of Burbank like they use to. Why not have someone we don't suspect take the fall, and even weasel out of it Dimera style if they want them to stay on the canvas. This is so *meh* for so many reasons.
And Lysie and Ellie are right. It just gets lazy on the part of the writers. Nothing they could have done, including keep us in the dark, would have made this a surprise. I want to go on a journey with the characters, not find out about the trip they have been on after the ride. There was no curve ball good enough to make this interesting. I still stand by my idea that having everyone talk about their "Nick issues" at the bar and having Caroline overhear them COUPLED with the fact that she herself had that scene with him awhile back that was less than cordial and it's been mentioned a couple of times that he framed her for a murder . .. well, Caroline as the murderer would've been great along w/ the dementia/alzheimer angle played in as if she couldn't remember or maybe she really couldn't remember.
It's been a long time since I've been surprised too. :(

It's been a long time since I've been surprised too. :( That would have been a hilarious storyline if Caroline killed him and then forgot she had done it. I would have liked that as a twist instead of just Gabi murdering him. The only people who didn't know Gabi is the killer are the people who didn't know she is leaving the show. Otherwise if you know she is leaving the show and she is the only killer it's pretty predictable. I just think they should have had multiple killers. It would have made the storyline more fascinating

what additional secret is Gabi going to reveal? The previous rape/murder attempt? The river dump is exactly what I think Gabi confesses too... because of a Marlena related spoiler that fits and the only way that Marlena would know Sami's secret is if Gabi confessed to it.

So there for now isn't going to be any recasting to Gabi at all.

She doesn't confess to actually murdering Nick just confesses to almost killing him by hitting him over the head with a rock and then dumping him in the river? I really don't understand Gabi and her reasoning behind the things she does. *shakes head* I think Gabi is a useless character. The show will be better off without her. I'm prepared for all the disagreement I will have coming my way

Will doesn't go down through because Gabi confesses to Nick's actual murder as well.

It's about time she's honest about what she has done and she will finally pay for the consequences of her own actions unfortunately one confession is missing but your right she at least pays for her actions Gabi does...

This week's issue of Soap Opera Digest features a lengthy article about the story of Nick's murder.
At the beginning of the week, Will is maintaining that he shot Nick, even though Hope and others are doubtful. However, Gabi can't take it and goes to the police station and confesses! Camila Banus shares that Nick has been blackmailing Gabi the entire time, and Gabi has been very fearful, especially regarding what Nick might do to Arianna. Banus shares that she wanted to play the scenes "... as if Gabi was going with Nick as something she did just to make him happy." She says that after this week's scenes, the fact that Gabi seemed to go back to Nick will make sense to the viewers.
Hope isn't comforted by knowing that Gabi shot Nick. Hope feels that she failed Nick and that she should have seen what was going on.
Freddie Smith says that Gabi's guilt is a "tragedy" and that they're worried about Arianna. Will, meanwhile, feels bad for the Hortons mourning Nick.
At the end of the week, Gabi reveals an additional secret...
Pick up the latest Digest for many more details!
I dont think she ALWAYS intended to Kill Nick, I just think towards the end she felt she had no choice after all the threats, manipulation.. and the fact , She didnt LOVE him. But I think the "Secret" changed things.. I think her secret is probably that she is pregnant again with Nicks Baby . This would have made Nick even MORE Obsessed, And she knew she couldnt live that life. And having his own child might make him see Arianna as just a tool to control her, And might even put Arianna in Danger.. I think THIS Motivated her

And this sums up perfectly one of the many things currently wrong with the storytelling on this show.
"She says that after this week's scenes, the fact that Gabi seemed to go back to Nick will make sense to the viewers."
It should make sense BEFORE the end of the story. It's okay to wait a little while sometimes, but you have to let the audience in on these things before the end.
BINGO! I don't know if it's more the writing or how CB played the scenes or a combination of the two, but there was scarcely a hint of Gabi being fearful of Nick/trying to placate him until right before the shooting episode. And I can point to TONS of scenes where Gabi looked downright gleeful to have Nick on her side. The set-up to this murder was a major fail.
I'm remembering her telling Sonny Nick knew what she needed by getting her the modeling job, why? If she wasn't really with Nick and he wasn't there why have this conversation. Her inviting him over after her first modeling shoot, her telling Nick it was okay if he went after Sami, her arguments with everyone about him when he was not even around it all makes no sense.

SOD is really flailing with its recent headlines: "Hope Fingers Lucas" and now "She's a Pistol."
Really? I know these are old film noir phrases, but they just seem silly somehow in this context.

A bit off topic...now that Will and Sonny are married, can Sonny legally adopt Ari? Is that possible? The only example I can think of is Brad Pitt officially adopting Angelina's adopted kids after they got together. Would Gabi need to give her permission?
I'm just thinking in the future Sonny might need to have his rights secured in case of an emergency involving Ari. I was thinking the same thing. Like a medical emergency while Will is out of town or something. I would think Sonny could adopt her as long as Gabi gave her consent.
