Geez AS, you really need to play Sami as less happy today. Sami is looking like a cold bitch with her lack of concern for her granddaughter's mother. To be fair, Sami IS A COLD BITCH. :D

One thing I liked about Gabi's tearful confession was when she said, she couldn't go to the police, I'm not sure, but to me she intimated that she couldn't go to the police because of Nick's relationships within the Salem PD....I'll have to watch again to be sure though. Hope is Nick's only relationship with the Salem PD. Meanwhile, Gabi's brother is on the force and Will's grandfather is in charge of it. Why couldn't she go to them if the relationship with Hope was the problem?

Kudos to Camilla Banus. She did a stellar job today - oh lord, the emotion, the tears ... I was crying right along with her. You could really feel her pain and her genuine fear of Nick and the hopelessness of the situation she found herself in.
I do hope that EJ points out to Sami that Gabi could have probably gotten of a lot lighter if she had implicated Kate and Sami but she wouldn't do that - she didn't want anyone that helped her to get in trouble. Sami acted like she couldn't care less that the mother of her granddaughter was going to prison and that Ari would be without her mother.
Nicole's desperation to hang on to her lie was beyond pathetic.
I enjoyed Rafe's and Jordan's scenes but they were bittersweet because we all know Rafe is going to be heartbroken when he hears about Gabi.
Now today was a true sweeps episode. Well done!

The wrong Hernandez is leaving! Rafe continues to bore me, whereas I found myself crying with Gabi today. Camilla was fabulous! I felt every bit of emotion! The Nicole/Eric stuff, whatever, I don't even care anymore, this couple was destroyed when they got sucked into the misery of Danifer.

Oh -- one thing I didn't like was Hope's parting comment to Gabi about how Nick hadn't deserved to die. I'm not arguing against that, even though he did bring that fate on himself, and even though I'm not the least bit upset that things ended with his death. However, what I didn't appreciate was the fact that Hope didn't even acknowledge* that Gabi -- and everyone else -- hadn't deserved what Nick had done to them, either.
I'm glad that Gabi made it clear that things had gotten "physical" with Nick before he had "left for New York", but I wish that she had specified that he had tried to rape her. I really want everyone -- especially Julie -- to know that, on top of everything else, Nick was an attempted rapist, too.
*Yes, I understand that Hope has, to some degree or another, acknowledged that Nick wasn't the perfect little angel that Julie believed him to be, and I'm happy to give her credit for that. But she should have acknowledged it again -- to Gabi -- during that scene -- a simple "I'm sorry for what Nick did to you and everyone else -- none of you deserved any of that -- but he didn't deserve to die for it" would have sufficed -- and the fact that she didn't really annoyed me.

I'm surprised no one WTF-ed at Will's "sorry for your loss" comment to Hope as he was leaving. As much as Will disliked Nick, they were still cousins. I actually loved that. Caught me off guard, but loved the pointed, yet spontaneous and uncontrived feeling it portrayed.

I know what Nicole did was wrong but Eric being a former priest he sure is quick to hate and slow in forgiving, isn't he? Throws tantrums and forgets that he is supposed to forgive and not judge.
He's a hypocrite who doesn't belong in a priest's frock anymore than Nicole belongs in a nun's habit.
Wow. Seriously? The man was RAPED. Nicole destroyed evidence that would have helped validate him and maybe bring Kristen to justice. He could have then made a fair and informed choice on whether to stay in the priesthood or not. Nicole took his choice away and helped cover his rapists crime! But Nevermind that. Poor Nicole. Eric is just a big meanie!!
Once again, the thumbs up button fails to suffice. I LOVE THIS. Any other character carrying on like this and Eric would be the good guy. This.
I'm getting pretty tired of some people minimizing Nicole's lying and coming up ways to blame Eric for it.
Other people in this town have had to face their music too. Nicole's going down because she should.

I just cannot agree with Gabi being a heroine here. After what she did to Melanie...whom I hate with every fiber of my being, mind you. She kept that a secret and I will always remember her snide remarks to Sonny and chad whenever it was brought up. She thought she could get away with it forever and guess what? I am so damned glad it came out today..bout time it did. And I have no sympathy for her in her killing of Nick. She or any one of them could have gone to the police at any time. It didn't have to come to this..Nick died because 1: To hide their crimes and 2: because the writers are fucking idiots. I know Blake wanted to leave the show, ugh but not this way, damn it!
So its ok for Nicole to keep secrets because she's a popular rootable character but not Gabi. Sorry folks wether I'm a fan or not rights right and wrongs wrong.
I never once said what Nicole did was right..not once! The damned writers cannot write for her at all. But yeah I am more sympathetic for her then I ever would be for Gabi. I just have a bad feeling that they finally listened to the fans about hating GAGGIFER and their plan are to break them up and have Nicole and Dr. Dan together. That would be a shit fest. I just now heard from a fellow DOOL watcher that AZ was leaving the show too.BTW don't horrify me with such ideas!
Regarding the bold/italicized...please NO, NO and NO.

Now today was a true sweeps episode. Well done! Oh, god, the line about her putting three bullets in him and he was still obsessed to the point he was able to follow her said it all.
And damn it, SOMEBODY better pull some DiMera strings to whisk her away and give her a new identity. She's literally taking one for the team. She didn't have to confess to the Andrew/Melanie mess. She could have used the attempted rape and (almost) murder to plead her case.

Camila Banus is doing WORK today! This is her Emmy reel, imo
What? I can't see my screen. I'm still crying with Gabi! :tears:
IKR! My tears were streaming like a waterfall. I was so hoping none of my family would pass through our living room lest they see me boohoo crying because of a soap opera character. ME TOO!! I had to turn my head so my dad and brother couldn't see!! :embarrassed:

Rafe has a very sarcastic sense of humor. I find him hilarious. Gabi is without a doubt my least favorite character. What she did to Melanie was selfish and uncalled for. She argues with people quite frequently and honestly I don't think she is that great of an actress but that is just my personal opinion

I couldn't agree more! Eric has every right to whatever reaction he so chooses. I don't believe being a priest or someone of faith automatically means you sit back and accept any crappy thing that is done to you. Of course it doesn't! NO profession does that.

It is also very interesting that Gabi saw Nick coming to the Horton Square as him still trying to get to her and not let her go even after she shot him.

I'm surprised no one WTF-ed at Will's "sorry for your loss" comment to Hope as he was leaving. As much as Will disliked Nick, they were still cousins. Frankly, if I were Will, I certainly wouldn't waste any time mourning the loss of someone who had made it their mission to try to separate me from my daughter on numerous occasions, blood or no blood. And that's ignoring all of the other horrible things I could say that Nick had done to Will and Will's loved ones.
Will was kind to give Hope that much, IMO. I don't blame him at all for considering it her loss and not theirs.

Let him get the truth out of Kristen.
Were Kristen known to be a paragon of truth-telling I would agree. However, as much anger as there is on this board about rape scenarios, I would think that there would be more upset at Nicole destroying proof of one. I get that there's a lot of love for the character, and the writers are all to blame, Eric should be an all forgiving non-priest, and Eric was wrong about her once so she has earned a get out of jail free card, but the actions she took are still wrong.
It's hard to hate a character who continually gets shit on year after year after year. Nicole is in the wrong, however, she still comes off as the sympathetic one here because of all the shit she's been through and because AZ is brilliant. The writers are fucking idiots. :flipoff: I don't really get that when most of her "shit" have been totally her own doing.

Doesn't Daniel still have copies of the shredded evidence that would prove Eric's innocence? Excellent point. Now the douches at the arch diocese that weren't willing to forgive or believe Eric will have to take him back, won't they? No, I doubt that will happen.
