Q: In real life, if someone admits to crime as serious as murder with a psychiatrist, the whole confidentiality thing doesn't actually hold, does it?

It does as long as the crime has already been committed. It does not if the patient tells the shrink that he plans to commit murder.

Now I see why John is always wearing that silly Rebel Without A Cause jacket. DH has gotten sort of thick--- with man-boobs. I noticed how the camera showed him from upper chest level only and that a double was used during Brady's attack. And I hate his "Kid" calling. Not because it's a pet name, but because of the way he says it: all macho and top doggish. Also because I have not liked the way DH has played John for many years: a squinting, sneering, nostril-flaring, self-important "I am still the Alpha dog" douche.

CB was so good again today. As Kinay said, especially when she went to Rafe's arms.

My God, can Elvis and Sami look any greasier and villainous? And what the hell is up with those raccoon eyes of hers? And the hideous shoes? Elvis "advising" Gabriella to not mention The River is not the only reason we have a conflict of interest. He was representing Will first (although Will didn't want him any more than Gabs did). Ugh. How soon do those two leave?

Love Marlena in professional mode. Oh how I wish BB had not wanted to leave, so I could see him and Dher slay scenes together during his redemption.
LOL! I love your description of Sami's eye make,so apt.You didn't mention the ,in my opinion, hideous pants or do you like them?I haven't checked the Monday posts today so I can't remember whether you liked her pants.I cracked up when I first read the mention of the "raccoon " eyes, its so apt.I must admit that I like the fact that EJ as an attorney cannot even sucessfully represent a person who is pleading guilty.

I guess I'm old school, I want the woman to be the one to walk out on the man and tell him that they don't have snowball chance in hell of making it and not the other way around. And that's another reason why I don't care for Ericole.
She already did that back when Eric accused her of raping him...this is just leveling the field. They both are imperfect people, and could use some counseling before finding their way back to each other other.

And to all the folks saying it's over between them, think again...there was a reason they made love a few weeks ago!

Baby Ericole coming right up for February Sweeps 2015!!!:)

Eric really annoyed me today and yet I understand the incredible sexiness of GV. But I can't stand him acting like a 16 year old choir boy. Before he came back he was a red blooded American male, I don't like that his love for the church has made him so intolerable and even worse predictable. I would have loved it if days surprised us with Eric saying, "I love you I don't care what the letter says." I would have truly loved that.

That would have been great.

An I know you, you know it wasn't the right thing to do, you don't need to be insecure with me, I'll always put you first.

But then they would have missed out on having a scene with Nicole sobbing on the floor.

That would have been worse if they had Eric easily forgive Nicole, imo. For all the stupid writing and faulty logic they put into his character for the past few weeks/months he still has the right to be furious and disappointed with Nicole enough to break up with her. If they had Eric stand by Nicole then that would have just made it seem as though all the anguish and turmoil he went through during the rape reveal almost meaningless to him because now he's in love with Nicole.

Eric deserved to be vindicated from all the crap that was thrown at him by the Church and the people of Salem, but Nicole took that away from him by shredding the evidence that would prove Kristen raped him. Nicole lied to him about something that greatly impacted his life recently. He trusted her and she broke that trust.

I'm not rooting for anyone in this s/l because frankly it's been terrible for a long time, but Nicole is definitely in the wrong here and she deserves whatever crap she's getting this time. And, I already know she'll most likely set her sights on Dannifer for revenge because they took Eric away from her blah blah blah it's just a repeat of Bristen 1st breakup but w/o the rape.

I am totally outnumbered here, but Ill say it again. NuBen does NOTHING for me.

Even though, as I said before, he looks practically identical to my son!! I just find him rigid. Plastic. And no charisma. Unlike my son. ;)
New Ben looks like a human rat to me. And he is being played as too self confident for what the character has been represented to be.

EJ and Sami were thoroughly self-serving and disgusting today.

CB as Gabi had me in tears again.

Am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with John calling Brady "kid"? I mean, Brady is John's kid. It's a term of affection. It's no different than being called honey, sweetie, pal, champ, etc. I can think of at least two grown men in my family who are referred to as "kid" by their fathers. I just don't see the big deal. I actually think it's kind of cute!
You're not the only one! It's a term of affection as you say. Overused, I'm sure. I'm sure my boys get sick of me calling them Sweetie, but they never say so.

He could call him Son, and I think he does from time to time.

It sometimes gets old. I switch to other nicknames at times.

All she did was not show the results of the test. I don't see what the big deal was, she is the right choice, Eric has no business being a priest.

I want her to get revenge on Dannifer, or more specific Jennifer. I can't take her high and mighty attitude anymore, and I'm totally on TeamAnn now.

WHO hits their father like this?

Its sickening!
Young boys who have very very destructive dads.

That scene where Rafe walks in and Gabi loses it again....I fell apart! She made my throat ugly sob. As much as I hated the Hernandi kids showing up, CB and GG have such a good onscreen presence as siblings that is unlike any other on the show. I really believed them in that moment where the concerned big brother walks in and his little sister just collapses in his arms because that's the safest place she can imagine even though she knows she's disappointed him. I'll miss their relationship, it was one of the only good ones on this show.

I don't think it's even in the scripts. It's just a Drake thing.

Days left me speechless today, and not in a good way. I simply CANNOT believe they had that whiny ass, forty-year-old Brady Black punching his father again. There aren't enough apologies in the world to make up for his shitty behavior toward John. Is this seriously why they brought Drake back on canvas. I'm starting to wish they'd left him off. :shame: If Brady needs a punching bag, let him look up his best friend Dan and go a few rounds. Oh, wait. If he sees Daniel, he'll quit snorting and drinking again. Talk about lame.
:hail: Seriously! This post for the WIN!

Whether or not Eric could make a major decision regarding his future, Nicole had no right to do what she did. It was never her choice to make. She didn't do the right thing at all.

The right thing to do would have been to clear Eric's name. And Eric seemed to be pretty devoted to the priesthood and God until the Church turned on him, so Eric being a priest may have been a weird choice but it was one that the writers tried to make Eric devoted to.

I think it was a very big deal. Even though I wish Eric would have done his own search for the evidence instead of just giving up, and even though I don't think it fit the character growth of Nicole to suddenly shred the evidence, she did do it and what she did was the same as if a cop had brought in a rape victim and did a rape kit and then after the victim leaves they toss out the kit.

Edited to add: I don't even care about what she did with the evidence that made it impossible for him to make his own decision about the priest hood. For me it's all about the rape and Kristen getting away with it. To me that's much more damaging to Eric than the priesthood.

Another emotional day courtesy of Camilla Banus. She did another bang-up job with her scenes today. I especially liked the moments with Rafe. I like how he just held her and let her weep - such a strong bond between those two.

Seriously Nicole, you should have quit while you were ahead. You sounded beyond desperate today. I have zero sympathy for her. No one but Nicole is to blame for the predicament she finds herself in ... not Jen, not Daniel and definitely not Eric. Nicole and Nicole alone is the one who chose to lie and destroy the evidence that would clear Eric's name. She says she loves the guy but she was willing to let his family, his church and parishioners and everyone else believe that he willingly slept with Kristen. She knew the agony he was in. She knew that he was raped and that he was in great pain over what happened but she chose not to take that pain and hurt and humiliation away because she felt that she was the better choice for him ... unfortunately she chose but never allowed Eric to make his own choice.

Where did Sami get off being so snippy with Jordan! You cheated on Rafe with your rapist while you were married to him - you have no room to talk about how you Rafe so well. And why did she keep hanging around the police station anyway. I'm glad she knows that Marlena knows what she did to Nick. And she knows exactly what Marlena thinks of that without Marlena having to say a word.

And why did EJ feel the need to seek out Abby to tell her once again he was telling her the truth the other day and now he has proof because Nick's murder has been solved. I would have thought he let go of Abby a long time ago but he's not acting like he has.

Brady is just a totally useless character right now - as useless as Theresa. Get John out of that mess and give him a real story.
It's not Nicole's fault the writers have thrown her under the bus. I've stated it before and I'm going to reiterate it. They need to move onto a new storyline. I don't like this one at all. I don't know what the writers are thinking and in terms of Brady being so angry with his father I don't like that storyline either. It's been dragged on for months. It's f***ing absurd.
I'm just gonna throw this out there and see if it sticks: I'm SICK of this druggin' and drinkin' version of Teresa and Brady! And I know that not a lot of teens watch Days during the summer months off from school, but I certainly think these idiot writers either need to cut this crap out completely or show the serious consequences of drugs and alcohol instead of just playing up these two as "wild partiers". As if stupid ass Teresa didn't learn the FIRST time! :soapbox:

And for Pete's sake, dumb ass writers - COMMIT to a direction for your characters and stick with it. Quit yanking us around! I'm sick of it!

And now I'll go back to being somewhat mild mannered.
