And after today, I'm hard pressed to give a shit about Brady. Nothing against EM, but Brady is a selfish jerk. Attacking his father? What a slug. My apologies to any slugs who may read this. Theresa can piss off too - what a completely pointless character...Brady'd be more entertaining cokin it up & going to work for Victor than in this hot mess...I'd rather see Victor trying to clean up after his grandson & John stepping in to help thank this attacking your father in the Square bullshit. Piss off, Brady - and take your cokewhore with you.

I am so flipping over Brady kicking the shit out of his father that is almost 60 years old.......wtf
Seriously. And maybe John needs to stop calling the man-child "KID". That KID is only a decade away from auto-enrolling in AARP!

Am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with John calling Brady "kid"? I mean, Brady is John's kid. It's a term of affection. It's no different than being called honey, sweetie, pal, champ, etc. I can think of at least two grown men in my family who are referred to as "kid" by their fathers. I just don't see the big deal. I actually think it's kind of cute!

I am MORE than ready for Nicole to lose her shit on Jennifer and Daniel. No more being best buds with Dannifer!
Because that helps her get eric back how? Shes stepping in it deeper and deeper. Eric will nevet take her back now if she threatens, and carries through with a revenge plot. Game over nicole. You just bought a ticket that eventually leads out of salem because this show has plenty of what she is in theresa, eve and kristen
Who said anything about "getting Eric back"? I don't give a damn if Nicole gets Eric back or not. I just don't want her to be the wimpy, blubbery mess she's been the past few months. The Nicole you want to root for might beg and grovel for other people's forgiveness, but the Nicole I remember pours herself a drink, spouts a few cuss words, and thinks about how to get revenge on the people who wronged her. And I miss that Nicole.
I DESPERATELY miss that Nicole. With each passing day I care even less for Ericole. If he went back to the church/ became a monk tomorrow, I won't miss him but I want the Nicole I love and adore back from wherever they shut her up.

I actually do like it. I was just being facetious about it because Brady is being played by a 42 year old man :blulaugh:

Best part of the show for me today was Marlena and Sami. Poor Marlena, once again confronted with the fact that her daughter is an amoral nutcase. And Sami, I swear was on the verge of throwing the affair in Marlena's face to justify another one of her bad decisions.
Well, even if it's the catalyst for Marlena saying to Sami, "Look at who you've become." I mean, honestly the woman's life is in constant turmoil - and I don't mean average stress. . . jail time, attempted murders, fake murders, custody battles, blackmail, cheating lovers. . . it's exhausting.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
I said nothing about the Andrew incident. I was singularly referring to the incident at the river in which a traumatized, just-having-been assaulted Gabi was talked into not going to the police by Sami and Kate. This is what the show portrayed.
But when Sami originally showed up, she had her fingers on the phone dialing the police until Gabi begged her not to & Kate brought up the fact that Gabi & Nick had just had a very public fight in HTS and no one would believe it was self-defense. I'm sure Gabi left that part out.
No Gabi said that, but what she left out is that Sami was dialing the cops to get her in trouble not to help her out.
Yes. Gabi was traumatized when Kate and Sami found her. Sami went into her usual uberbitch mode and Kate went into master mind mode. When Sami had her finger on the phone to call the cops, Gabi was muttering about 'what am I going to do?" and Sami said '20 to life.' Gabi's 'no, no, no' was in response to Sami's assumption that she willfully killed Nick.

This part starts at 15:08. But it's worth watching from the beginning, IMO, to see how good Camilla Banus was in her scenes with Nick. She really covered a range of emotions there, too.

EJ thanks Hope for bringing Marlena. Rafe bounds in demanding to know why EJ is there. EJ says he's representing Gabi and Rafe accuses him of a conflict of interest.

Gabi tells the story of her relationship with Nick to Marlena and how good it was at first but then he became obsessed. But there's a flashback of Sami telling her never to tell anyone about the river and attempted rape. Marlena says their conversation is confidential. And I am proud of the show for pointing out how shitty it was for Sami (and Kate) to not allow Gabi to simply go to the police at any point during and after the river incident, since she was in the least amount of trouble given his physical and mental abuse toward her.
So this is how Marlena learns what Sami and Kate did to Nick. But because of the confidentiality no one else in Salem will know. :ermm:
I hope Marlena gets it out of Sami somehow. Like just by using her eyes!!! :blulaugh:

I do love Ericole, and I know that their story isn't done. I just hate that women on soaps these days HAVE to have a man! Like they just can't go on living without one. This was really bad on Days during Higley's run, although it seems to be a continued trend. Whatever happened to funny, smart, strong, INDEPENDENT women? That's the kind of writing I want to see for some of the female characters on Days, especially Nicole. Because AZ just rocks at it.

It probably wouldn't be so bad if Brady didn't also act like a kid. Doug still calls Hope "Princess" and "baby," and that doesn't bother me.

Also can we PLEASE get over John calling his SON "kid"...there is NOTHING wrong with it....my dad calls me "kid" all the time...its just nickname/term of endearment.

I never understood why this bothered people so much.

EDIT - I see other people have already argued this...so yes I agree with all you on that point!

I just argued this exact point and didn't see this post.

I totally agree...I don't get why people rag on this so much.
