I'm not trying to be a smartass here but I'm really curious...has there ever been a time when Daniel really messed up? A time where he wasn't either the victim or the hero of a storyline? I'll take a time where he had to say, "I'm so sorry" or truly begged somebody's forgiveness because he knew that he had really messed up. I'm not asking for when the viewers thought he screwed up but when Daniel himself admitted that he did in some form or fashion.
I've only been watching Days for the past 5 years or so and I, admittedly, have not been paying close attention to Daniel's storylines but I feel like this character has been put up on such a pedestal that he just never admits that he was ever wrong because he never believes it. It's always somebody wronging him or where whatever he was doing was "easily justified" for the "greater good," whatever that may be.
Obviously I am a fan of Will and Sonny who are the "good guys" but even both of them have admittedly screwed up from time to time, yes I know nowhere near the rest of Salem's characters but still. Daniel has been on the show for how long? 5-6 years or whatever? In that time you'd think that Daniel would've had quite a few mistakes that would've soiled his character a bit...something that would've made him at least semi-realistic.
He slept with Lucas' fiance and still managed to come out the hero. So the answer is, I don't think so. The only time I can think where not everyone thought of him as "amazing" was when he was dating Chelsea and Bo wanted to kill him for that b/c he was so much older. This is definitely where my dislike of the character started b/c I was totally with Bo.

Hero to everyone except Lucas who still holds a grudge, thank God. And then people call Lucas bitter and wrong when he voices his opinion.

And I hope Jen remembers the past with real flashbacks.
If it's about Eve, she can't have real flashbacks. Why not ? Nicole had flashbacks of Eric when he first arrived back in town. (with GV in the flashback)

Alternatively they could just use flashbacks where she is talking to a different character about Eve.

I don't think Daniel and Chelsea ever officially had sex, but I still think she was a tad older than 18 when they dated. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the reason Chelsea couldn't donate part of her pancreas to Bo right away because she got super drunk at the Cheatin' Heart? I'm pretty sure she even had alcohol poisoning. And that was in 2008, so she was at least in her early 20's. I don't give Dr. Dan credit for a lot of things, but a pedophile is something he is not. Lol.

I wouldn't call him a pedophile, but whenever one person is twice the age of the other person in the relationship it's just a little skeevy.

Actually, I wasn't even bothered by Daniel at the time either. He just kind of existed. And then EggBaby happened and the propping for him just took off and he has been the weakest link to this show ever since.

They could very well use old clips of Jennifer talking ABOUT Eve to others, instead of using old clips with CR.

He might as well have screwed her. He was all over her during some family picnic. Disgusting old perv eating up a silly young thing, hiding her in his locker. Ugh. I have hated him since his first scene. And I hated Chelsea from then on.

So, going back to my original question, the consensus is that, to everybody's knowledge, Daniel has yet to make any kind of true apology to anyone since showing up in Salem because he has yet to feel as though he has truly wronged somebody? Did he ever apologize to Lucas for his actions? Possibly hash things out with Bo over dating Chelsea when, apparently, Bo wasn't cool with it...? I've only been slightly paying attention to Daniel's storylines since that whole mess with Chloe and I have yet to see him believe that he screwed up with something. No wonder he's so unlikeable....well that and the fact that most of Salem thinks of him as the second coming from time to time. Ugh. :bs:

SOF spoilers are already out Days Of Our Lives Spoilers And Videos For June 16 – 20. Coming soon… Be sure to return to this page regularly for the latest “Days Of Our Lives” spoilers and videos brought to you by Soap Opera Fan Blog. Still feeling mean spirited and generally annoyed with JJ, Theresa starts threatening to ruin his relationship with Paige. Across Salem, Nicole makes one more last ditch attempt to salvage whatever she can of her relationship with Eric. She makes an important choice that will affect his future, but it won’t stop Sami from showing up to wail on her. Kate manages to spot Jordan and Ben together, acting conspiratorially. As she rubs her hands together and contemplates how to use this to her advantage, her day gets ruined. Victor decides to fire her. And Kate isn’t the only one whose week seems to be going downhill. Hope starts to fear that the gala is doomed… that is, until Aiden comes up with a clever way to save it. http://blog.soapoperafan.com/2014/06/days-of-our-lives-spoilers-and-videos-for-june-16-20/
Ok..I like Hope and Aiden and their scenes together, but honestly..how many more times are we going to get the same scenes of them trying to save the gala from doom? This is the same thing we have seen for months now. Just plan it and get on with it already. And Kate...please..stop stalking around Jordan and move on with your life. It's beyond old.
Me too I am so sick of Kate's hatred towards Jordan. Jordan has done nothing to her I agree. .Jordan has done nothing to Kate..except in Kate's mind where she is convinced that Jordan stole Rafe away from her. Sorry Kate, baby, he was never yours to lose. You were/are his fuck buddy..that's all, end of story, finito.

Ugh. :bs: I forgot about Chelsea and Daniel! How does Jennifer not find it skeevy that her one true love slept with her cousin's stepdaughter/her brother's niece? And then he turned around and slept with her brother's mom! Not to mention his fiancé....
Through Lucas alone Dannifer is gross, haha. Salem relationships are weird.
