Nicole started with both of them though. She was on a crusade to bring down Kristen and before she even got to know Theresa she was calling her names and bad mouthing her. As for Kristen, people who like her, enjoy her as a villain. No one treats her like a sympathetic heroin. Part of her charm is her badness. She's unapologetically bad and she only cares about Brady loving her and no one else. While Nicole is treated like she's constantly being wronged. Even when her actions are beyond the pale, they're always explained away because she has insecurities. Edited by Kaha, Jun 8 2014, 07:32 PM.

Kristen trashed Nicole but Nicole started it. I don't remember a single scene where Kristen went out of her way to attack Nicole. It was always Nicole in her face. Kristen did a horrendous thing when she raped Eric and let Nicole take the rap. No one will ever exuse that or explain it away with Kristen's insecurities or whatever. She's bad as can be. |

We all do it, taking up for our faves. It just stinks monkey balls sometimes when a character with no leg to stand on chastises or looks down on another or is deemed holier than holy. |

I agree that last year Nicole was pretty hard to tolerate sometimes. I mean, to me, it wasn't even that she "started" it, but it just made her look bored, pathetic and a person without a life, when she was interfering with Bristen's relationship and Eric's too, considering he was her friend at best (I still view Eric as having next to no romantic feelings towards Nicole during the priesthood). As for Kristen, I'm not exactly "excusing" her behaviour, I just don't really care about it, lol. And even though it is true that Kristen wasn't going to jump to help Nicole when Eric accused her, it was not her doing in the first place to make it look like it was Nicole, but something Eric on his own had conjured up in his mind. And even though I'm not a Theresa fan at all, it can be said that there really weren't many reasons for Nicole to judge her, except of course being part of the Dannifer worshipping circle, which Theresa wasn't included in. I don't remember Kristen's reaction when it came out, but do we know for sure that she wasn't trying to set Nicole up? Between the wig and the fake name, I know it seemed that way at one point, but I can't remember how Kristen reacted when he accused her. |

I don't remember Teresa ever trash talking Nicole. She actually said Nicole is even prettier in person. Nicole was nasty to her and didn't even know her |

I think Kristen set Nicole up. She chose to use a pseudonym connected to Nicole. And she was relieved when Eric accused Nicole. I don't remember if she taunted Nicole with it though. But I remember her feeling relieved in one of her talks to herself or her creepy father.

She didn't know about it, and found out by accident when Nicole told her that Eric had said something "awful" to her. She deduced what it was and was very surprised. She didn't plan for Nicole to be implicated. Yeah that name thing was never explained, I don't know why she used that name, but I clearly remember her saying that "Out of pure coincidence/ luck, Eric thinks his secretary did it, it couldn't have worked out better". One thing that really turns me off Nicole as a character is her subservient relationship with Dan. And her constant "I am not worthy" interactions with certain Salemites and the way she's always brown-nosing her ways into someone's good graces (hello Jennifer). She has no moral scruples yet she's quick to judge everyone and be smug about it.

If Eric can't forgive Nicole then he's not the guy for her. He doubted her in the past and it took a long time for him to trust her again. She should just move on. I kind of want Bricole back, they always forgave each other's mistakes so easily. |

Most of the female characters on Days treat each other like crap, and I hate it. Soap audiences are still mostly made up of women (I know men watch too), so I don't understand why we hardly see any female friendships in Salem. We don't see them supporting each other unless they're related, and even then, those kind of scenes are rare. Instead, we see them calling each other sluts, judging each other, and "cat fighting" over a guy. Generally, I think the friendships on Days suck, but we do see the men bro-hugging and looking out for each other. So why do the female relationships have to be reduced to a stereotype? I've said it before, but I don't think TomSell like -- or understand -- women very much. What a shame, when they are the main audience. |

Honestly, though, don't most of the "bad girls" judge each other? (I think there's been this conversation before, or variations of it). Certainly, Nicole's done her share of judging, and so has Sami. They both have their justifications, and they're both being hypocrites. For me personally, I just find Nicole a more enjoyable hypocrite. |
