Immaneed Nicole to punch Jennifer in the face....
That's what Im screaming!!!! There should be alot of animosity brought up in Nicole's mind right now. While it can be argued (and I'm not trying to beat that horse again), but I still believe Nicole was delirious when Jennifer argued Nicole to near death resulting in her fall when she was pregnant with the sadly dead baby. Jennifer had NO right arguing with Nicole in such a hostile manner whether Nicole was hostile or not. She should've walked away. Nicole and Jennifer being friends is the most ridiculous thing since Austin and Greta went to the Garden Of Eden. Or when Mike and Carrie went on a magic carpet ride!!! Sorry, but this fan is team Nicole....would Nicole had told Eric the truth? Prolly not with these writers BUT how was it Jennifer's business? She's a haggard gossipy orange dick sprung shrew who makes everything in town about her and Daniel. I want Nicole to slap the shit out of her just one time. And to think she's crying over how Daniel is affected by what Nicole hid from Eric? If I were SC, I'd be embarrassed. They are writing Daniel as if he's a 9 year old! Pathetic.
Jennifer tried to walk away. Nicole wouldn't let her. She grabbed her, and Jennifer was trying to free herself when Nicole fell.

I wanted to dislike the things Jennifer said, but she was 100% right.
Yes, Jennifer was right about Nicole. She was so absolutely, unlikably right.
But her actions, attitudes and motivations about Nicole are all wrong, because they are always all about keeping her iron grip on Daniel, not about doing the right thing for Eric or anybody else.
So Nicole, who was all wrong in what she did to Eric is still absolutely, likably right in her assessment of Jennifer.

It can be very soapy to have the woman (and this usually happens between soap women) doing the 'right thing' be an insufferable, self righteous bitch and the woman making all the wrong moves be a relatable, rootable vixen.

But that works when the audience and the writers are on the same page about the self righteous character. Here the character of Jennifer has been written as repeatedly going to sanctimonious, bitchy extremes since her pairing with Daniel, all of which has been reinforced by Melissa Reeves' bitter acting choices. And yet Jennifer is still served up as the Horton Heroine she used to be...back when she was likable with Jack. And Nicole is...once again...just another whipping girl for Jennifer's righteous entitlement.

And so on and so on...and over and over...and yet Fetch never happens. The only way to make good soap again with these characters is to change the Fetch End Game...and give Jennifer's character a radical reboot.

My preference: Give this DanJen a mental breakdown like her mother had. Send her off to the mental institution for a character rest. Then bring her back some time as she was when she was JackJen. #JenMental
I have less of an issue with what Jennifer did than why she did it. Without question, Eric had the right to that evidence and the right to decide the course of his future without anyone else's interference. But the way it's coming across, Eric and his vocation are practically afterthoughts where Jen-Jen is concerned. About 99.9% of her moral indignation was reserved for Nicole's supposed manipulation of Daniel, as if this almost-fiftysomething man is some helpless innocent incapable of making his own choices. Jennifer was just as controlling and interfering when Daniel and Nicole were concealing her pregnancy from EJ, using every excuse she could think of to insert herself into what was none of her business. At this point, I think she'd seize upon anything she could find to drive a wedge between Daniel and a woman of whom she disapproves/is jealous. If it hadn't been Eric, it would have been something or someone else.

I agree with those who pointed out that it's odd that Eric hasn't reached out to Will in this current crisis

I remember Eric giving WilSon Wisconsin cheese hats for a sports team thing, as a wedding present.

I'm curious. Other than that, when has Eric ever interacted with Will?
When Eric first came into town, he had a conversation with Will. Will said that he knew what Eric's church said about being gay and that Eric shouldn't expect to change Will. Eric said he's not in the judgment business. It was a nice scene, with neither character coming off badly. (I always liked the fact that Will's sexuality informed his skepticism of organized religion. It's nice to have a character on the canvas that isn't religious just to even things out.)

Found the clip. I put it behind the spoiler tag.

Spoiler: click to toggle

(Warning! the first part of the clip is all about the plan to have Nick be Ari's dad. Ewww.)

I recommend skipping straight to 5:30 on this clip.

Great Eric-Will scene.
Eric and Will meet after years apart -- Will is now an adult gay man and Eric is a priest. A bit of awkwardness.

Then they shift to what might seem to be a discussion about football ... how Eric is a Wisconsin cheese-head (supporting the Green Bay Packers) but Will supports the Chicago Bears.

-- but then Eric seamlessly goes back to the main topic with a metaphor:
"I bet on you, whatever team you choose. I just want you to be happy, fulfilled in life."
Eric had such promise as a character, and rewatching that scene you can see a flicker in Eric;s eye that indicates that he is truly hurt that the church has hurt Will. He works hard in that scene to win a skeptical Will's trust, and he does. That scene showed us what kind of priest/person Eric was.

And while I'm at it, I am glad that Will has never been seen embracing religion (Hello, Rev. Marlena) but he's supported Gabi (through Ari's christening) and Eric (through showing up at St. Luke's events). It was a missed chance that they didn't develop a stronger relationship between Eric and Will. It's really good for people to see non-religious and religious people get along. My best friend from college is a priest (episcopal) and I'm a raging agnostic and anti-theist, but we get along swimmingly. She's non judge-y too.

But Eric's become a passive, perpetual victim that exists to worship Daniel, not god. This makes me sad.

This episode is driving me nuts. Just because Eric and Jennifer are friends doesn't mean it is Jennifer's business. She had no right to tell Eric what Nicole hid from him. That is between Eric and Nicole and no one else.

So can Eric use the shredded papers to clear his name......at least with the church?

I didn't think the Eric/Nicole story could continue down the path OF Dannifer HELL but I guess I was wrong!!! Wth??? Seriously? I can't take this crap anymore!!! It took 18+ months to make Ericole and amazing couple and 2 months to destroy it! Why even have them make love? And the hug scene with Jennifer made me SICK! I hate her character!! I'm glad Nicole slapped Daniel. I wish she would have punched him! Or shot him!! I'm done with this show. I can't handle a Jenn/Eric combo. I don't trust the writers. I agree that a soap should have drama but could the writers at least wait until we bore of a couple before re-pairing them up??!!

I have been waiting for this Gabi/Abby convo [the Andrew reveal] for so long. I hope the writers do it justice.
I just hope no one tries to pin Jac k's death on Gabi, that was not her fault, in any way! I think Kate said in SOD that Abby still wants to be Gabi's friend, I hope that's how it plays out.
I have to respectfully disagree. I think the whole explosion is Gabi's fault.

Corday seemed to imply they were a quandrangle during summer preview rundown,so probably at least through July.

Im convinced eve plays a big part with daniel,at least initially. Shes suppose to bring him trouble and dont believe any longer she is someone from his past.

Nicole could have won that argument today if she came at it from anywhere near an honest place. All the 'she was going to tell Eric' and 'Jennifer ruined Eric's life' lies only made her seem more pathetic. I would have been more inclined to take her side if she made the point that Jennifer should have given her a chance to tell him first. Even though we all know she never would have. I also think that the whole jealous accusation was a smokescreen. Jennifer believes in her superiority and righteousness entirely too much to be threatened by Nicole.

She's threatened by Nicole alright. She doesn't like how much Daniel cares for Nicole and that's why she didn't trust him to betray Nicole and tell Eric the truth.

I am seriously disappointed that Nicole didn't slug Jen. She had it coming. Yes, Eric needed to know, but Jen should have stayed out of it. Another option -- she could have told Nicole that she needed to tell Eric now or she/Jen would tell him and Jen wasn't about to give in the way Daniel did. Let's face it. They've been dropping anvils about Jen and her jealousy over Daniel since that conversation with Eric. Yes, Nicole was wrong with the paper shredding, but a BIG part of Jen's motivation was to separate Danicole.

I just can't fathom how we got back to the same point we were 18 months ago. Nicole the pariah, Jen the jealous harpy, angsty Fetch. No miscarriages this time, but Nicole doesn't have Eric for redemption now. It was bad then, it's bad now. No, it's worse now because Nicole fans aren't getting any glimpses of something positive.

The "enough about Eric, let's talk about how this is affecting Daniel" dialogue today -- kill me now.

Add me to the folks who know Nicole handled everything wrong, and yes, "She made her bed and she has to lie in it", but can STILL be pissed at the way Jennifer ThornyRose has handled things. Not only did Thorn stick her nose where it doesn't belong, but she's basically more concerned about her jealousy and Dr. TanDan than she is about Eric. The comments about Eric were like an afterthought...like she was thinking "Oh,yeah, I need to make this about him for appearances". Nicole, to me, still comes across as desperate but insecure, an insecurity that still makes me want to root for her and find SOMEONE who can convince her she's lovable without having to resort to scams. Jennifer, on the other hand, comes across as a self-centered spoiled brat. Entitled. Snooty. That's why I'm still in Nicole's court. However, if she's put with Dan......The Fetch thing has just ruined it. (and for the sake of getting stomped on, if anyone says "How can you defend Nicole?", well, enough people have admitted she done wrong, but why they still like her).....
