I would rather see more of Kayla. She was involved in Theresa's storyline when she first arrived.

This. It's ridiculous that they don't use her with Theresa.

Technically, it's general news and I posted it in the thread where it belongs but as that thread wasn't new, I decided to post it here so that more posters interested in the voting could read it.

Daytime Emmy Awards þ@DaytimeEmmys 7m
A #DaytimeEmmys first! YOU get to choose who goes home with the new #FanFavorite award! Stay tuned for details on how to vote!

Not a "first" though.

In 2002 and 2005, the Daytime Emmys had several special categories voted on, not by the Academy, but by fans online.

Kristian Alfonso & Peter Reckell won Favorite Couple in 2002 and Ali Sweeney won Favorite Villain in 2002 as well.

Question... I know who you refer to when you say Fetch but how did that "flattering" name originate?

Aunt Kayla didn't give a damn about Theresa. She was more interested in Jennifer and her kids drama than following up with her niece. For some reason the writers seem to forget she's a Brady.

Her parents seemed just about as interested in Jennifer as they were in her, too. The writing is so awful.

They're horrid. They didn't think it was important for Kayle to hear on screen about Eric leaving the church. He told everyone on screen but we didn't even get "I also talked to aunt Kayla." And she missed her grand-nephew's wedding (to do an emergency surgery) or something. And they didn't even bother including a scene of her visiting WilSon to give them her gift in person. It's just awful how they minimize actual stablished families yet make a big thing out of Maggie and her instant family.

I hate how they neglect Kayla. They refuse to give her a life outside the hospital. We never really see HER in a story about her life. It's all about everybody else. This is Kayla Brady, people! Show her taking steps forward in HER personal life.

This debate over CS & KDP's ages regarding Shane being Eve's father reminds me of how (legend has it. I can't find confirmation), on ATWT, at one point Dan Stewart was played by an actor (John Colenback) who was actually OLDER than Patricia Bruder who played his mother Ellen. Even closer to home, Susan Seaforth Hayes was only 7 years older than Richard Guthrie who played her son, David Banning.

Wasn't the actor who played Ridge Forrester only 10-years younger than the guy who played his father?

My college roomate loved B&B and she occasionally used to mention that.

Actually, Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge) is only about 8 years younger than John McCook (Eric). I remember reading about how when B&B first started, they had to gray his hair to make him look older because he still looked too young to be Ridge's father (it had only been about 7 years since he'd been a major star/leading man/hearttrob) on Y&R as Lance Prentiss. When B&B started, McCook wasn't even 43! I also read about how they used to gray Charita Bauer's hair & dress her older on GL in the 60s/70s once they aged Mike & Ed to adults because she wasn't old enough to have grown children yet. Once upon a time, soap actors actually let you make them look older for a part. Anymore, it seems to me as if nearly all of them just want to "play pretty & young" no matter how old they are or how old their characters are supposed to be.

Wow! I guess, if people bought Ridge and Eric as father and son, then they won't have any problem with Eve and Shane as father/daughter.

If you want to discuss bizarre age casting, Marilyn McIntyre, the second actress to play Jo Johnson Scofield (Steve, Jack and Adrienne's mother) is actually 5 years younger that Stephen Nichols who played her son Steve!

And Estelle Getty was a year younger than Bea Arthur but it worked for their characters. Not so in the case of Kassie D. and Patsy P.

We can put the mystery to rest, as I just did a quick check on Ancestry, which provided us with the results:

Ancestry's birthday records (which are usually pretty accurate) have this:

Patricia Bruder Debrovner born April 14, 1937 (although the error-prone IMDB says 1940).

John Leonard Colenback born October 8, 1935.

So, the legend does have merit. John Colenback was one-and-a-half years older than his "mother!"

Luckily they both have pretty unique names, or it would have been harder for me to confirm. I'm glad the actor's name wasn't John Smith or Bill Jones. :)

Not from my "Days" research. I have Marilyn McIntyre born May 23, 1949, and Stephen Nichols born February 19, 1951. I just checked, and IMDB also has 5/23/49.

Peggy McCay is only 11 years older than Josh Taylor.
