Who is she? Don't remember ever seeing her face, but then again I usually FF all hospital scenes because they mostly include Dannifer.

Ugh! I bet she's a rapturist.
Just because she's in Israel? I'd love to go to Israel, and I'm not a rapturist, at least not in the strictest definition. I think it's neat. There are a lot of Christians, liberal and conservative, who visit Israel.
I would love to go to Israel too but in her case, it's a safe assumption to make. Well, I mean, it wouldn't be a stretch.

I wasn't going to post this one since it's not exactly spoilerish (except to show that Bill and Susan are far away from the Days set and the @Daysofourlives account retweeted it) but I can't resist, lol. @DaysHayes A kiss in the Kentucky countryside. pic.twitter.com/WxRbrM https://twitter.com/DaysHayes/status/475795530153738240Posted Image
Aaww!! :wub2: Sucks that we'll only be seeing Doug/Bill Hayes on special occasions. :'(If Hope and Aiden get any further by Christmas, I wonder what papa Williams' reaction will be. LOL Or Julie's for that matter. Hopefully she'll turn her focus back to whatever is going on with Hope. And Ciara possibly adjusting to Aiden's involvement with her mother. Assuming Haiden have grown a lot closer and Ciara still disliking Aiden. (Key word: assuming) Doug would have been thrilled for Hope to be with someone like Aiden 30 years ago, lol. Now I'm sure he will support whatever makes his Princess happy.

Most assumptions aren't safe. I'd love to go to Israel too. And I guess I'm missing what's wrong with her being a rapturist??? People hold all different kinds of beliefs.
Nothing wrong with believing the rantings of an old man. Just like those Heaven's Gate believers.

Nothing personal on the dislike, but the hashtag "youknowyoulikeit"...just no. They're boring a all get-out.
Exactly, the show has to be seeing the negative feedback. Everyone wants the "old" JJ back either with Bev or Theresa. They film almost 5 months in advance which makes it damn near impossible to work with viewer feedback. By time they realize they've screwed up it's too late. Their film schedule is really hurting the show more than it's helping it.

As the daughter of a Christian mom and a Muslim dad, I am well aware and respectful of most beliefs. I don't want to derail this thread with theological debate, but if you're interested I can PM you and explain the roots of my strong feelings.
It's not necessary. You're free to believe whatever you want. I just thought the whole "rapturist" comment came out of left field. Back on topic... MR looks way better off set.
I had no idea Israel had anything to do with being a rapturist. I've never even heard the term "rapturist." I know what it means, but while I know that Missy is a Christian, I don't connect trips to Israel with being Christian either. Christianity isn't the only religion with roots there. Since this became a puzzle, lest I be misunderstood, let me clarify. Rapturist is more of a political term than a religious term. It points to a fanatical and apocalyptic view of the world that links end of time with politics (foreign and environmental policies). Rapturists welcome war in the Middle East because it makes the end of time closer and they also welcome environmental disasters for the same reason. If you're interested, you can read British writer George Monbiot on the link to forgeign policy and war, and on environment the journalist Glenn Scherer - "The Road to Environmental Apocalypse."
As for MR, I am just speculating, mainly because of her other views. I just don't think of her much based on her documented bigotry. So, I am assuming she's capable of other lunacy. Of course, I could be completely wrong on my assumption. I could be compeletly irrational about her though.
To re-iterate, lots of decent people believe the end of time but don't go out of their way to harm humanity in their quest to expedite it. And that's how Rapturist are different than other believers.

But not all people who believe in the Rapture are "rapturists" by your definition. And not all conservative Christians believe in the Rapture. I think where people were having issues with the original comment came from using such a broad brush to paint a very narrow stripe.

pagraves, didn't my comment clarify both your points? Again, Rapturists are a very small sub-sect but they wield a huge political power.

I looked at Scott Reeves twitter and it looks like some guy named Steve Berger is teaching them stuff there in Israel.... The way these trips typically work is a group from a church goes. The group usually involves pastors and teachers and church leaders, and they basically tour various places from the bible. It looks like that guy preached when they were at the mount of olives and someone else preached when they were where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. So yeah. There's probably a lot of people teaching them stuff while they're there.
