You know, I'm not sure I could buy this version of Jennifer defending Jack. She barely seems to know who he is. If they ever managed to bring him back, I'd love to see him with someone who deserves him. And I was never really a Jack fan, but damn, if he doesn't deserve better.

I'm interested in the lawsuit too. Let's hope they do something good with it.

The second "surprise" wedding must be Stefano and Kate?!
I really hope so.... not only because I think that's what should happen, but also, because I do not want that to be Thereannie and Brady.... ever... yuck.
Will we ever actually SEE Stefano???

"Was anyone really expecting smooth sailing for Daniel and Jennifer? The duo, who have battled one obstacle after another, are about to face another one, when Jennifer has to deal with a lawsuit regarding Jack's book."

I can't believe I'm commenting about a Dannifer spoiler*, but the wording on this is interesting. Why would they be on opposite sides re: the lawsuit? If that's not what's happening, why would they need to be face-to-face in this scenario?

*I think it's schadenfreude and I'm just delighting in them both being miserable. I'd really love Jen's world to come crashing down. Girl comes out the winner way too many times. You can't even say she lost when Jack died because she already had a backup.
Maybe Eve is the one bringing the lawsuit and Daniel is supporting Eve. I'm actually interested in the lawsuit storyline. I'll hate if it's made all about Dannife, but I like the idea of Jennifer wanting to defend Jack's reputation, both as a man and as a journalist.
Actually, I have a theory about that lawsuit. Right before Eve left back in 1991 she confronted Jack and Jennifer about the money Jack took out of Nick Corelli's trust to save The Spectator (long story) while he was married to her. Eve threatened she wanted the money back, but Jack had it tied up legally and taunted her it was his now legally. Eve made a fuss about it and essentially threatened Jack she would get the money back, but was off to Africa with Frankie before she could do anything about it (except curse J&J to misery, pain and a tanned hairy pain-in-the-rump two decades down the line).

Anyway, if someone is suing Jennifer over the proceeds from Jack's book, could it be Eve *still* trying to get back the money Jack used from Nick's trust to pay off the Spectator? (And that raises the question -- in two decades certainly Eve found some sucker to marry her so she could get the rest of that money. Does she still have it, or did she blow it over the years? Or am I remembering a lot more than the writers ever will?)

But didn't Jack pretty much sink ALL of that money into the Spectator? And within a year, he had lost it all of it AND his personal wealth to Hawk, so I'm not sure Eve had anything left. When she left with Frankie, he was all "we don't need anything but each other and if you don't come with me to prove that, we're done." So I always thought the implication was that she gave up everything, including Nick's trust fund money, to be with Frankie.

I do think she's going to be on the opposing side of the lawsuit that causes Jennifer contention simply because Eve never had any use for Jennifer. And I am RICHLY looking forward to the Jen-Jen truth-telling that Eve will be dishing out. She never shied away for hammering Jennifer on her worst qualities, and Jennifer is nothing but bad qualities lately.

Now that Days has the gay storyline/romance under their belts, they should turn it up a notch and introduce a polyamorous and or triad relationship, throwing Ben in there to cause some angst. They could even make him bisexual. Can you imagine the drama if Abby is sharing/shared a man (at one point) with both of her cousins? Ok, maybe it would be kinda icky...lol. I have a lot of friends in open relationships. It works for some, others (like me) not so much. But WilSon is kinda boring now...
That sounds really awesome and interesting but I seriously doubt that Days would even touch upon that kind of storyline. They are going to alienate way too many people and many stations would basically pull their sponsorship of the show and it would financially ruin them. In other words, it's WAY too controversial. Not to mention that conservative groups would be up in arms about it. I think the whole gay storyline is as far as they are even going to get as far as polemic topics go.

If we had better writers helming the story, some of these might intrigue me. But it will be the same Daniel -centric horseshit! They've already ruined Eve's return by having her involved with Daniel right away. And Jonas of Nazareth will also be the kidnapping victim, already torpedoing Kristen 's return for me too. John and Marlena will never be written as a love story again or even as a "tentpole" couple while Tomlin holds the crayon. Same goes for Lucas. One thing that has intrigued me is the fact that Ben
has had two scenes with the baby where he is lavishing a lot of attention on her. It made me wonder if a baby plays into his back story. Probably nothing there but I found it interesting.
Corday needs to grow a pair and hire head writer/s who will write for John and Marlena.
Not that I don't agree about the J/M angle because I totally DO, but they gotta fix a whole lot of their writing.

Looking forward to and hoping for another botched Sami wedding. The truth needs to come out and let EJ admit feelings for Abby.
I think if JS had stayed and renewed his contract, that's the way the storyline would have gone - we would have had a lot more interaction with Ejabby over these last few months and we would have seen real feelings develop. I also think Ben was brought in in part to make EJ jealous. But with JS leaving, I feel like the show pretty much dropped their original ideas with Ejabby. Their secret will still come out, but I feel like they've abandoned whatever they wanted to do initially with them. Which makes me sad because they were smoking hot. :D

True,.. but I am going to remain hopeful. At very least if Chad comes to town (and the actor really good like JS) maybe something new come from that. Still,... I don't think I can like any other couples like EJABBY for Abby.. it will always be a comparison to the fire that in my mind is EJABBY. And if EJ (with or without JS) ever comes back to Days .. story can keep on rolling and it could be pretty interesting. I hope we get a fight! LOL Fits and all ..

They did a better job at making the spoilers sound interesting than the SOD posting.

Knowing EJ and Sami are going to be leaving soon, I'm not really interested in their story anymore. The only thing I'm interested in how Abigail deals with the secret coming out and what direction it takes her afterwards.

Most looking forward to Kristen and Eve's return this summer. I'm going to guess that Nicole is the person Kristen kidnaps. Maybe Eric. Either one, because I believe their reunion will result in one saving the other.

I'm predicting Eve is connected to Paige, Ben and Jordan. Mother of all three perhaps?

I'm not a fan of how this show deals with major characters being off-screen. I didn't like when Justin, Jennifer and Kayla dealt with their marriages falling apart off-screen, and I'm not going to like watching Hope do pretty much the same thing. Kill Bo off! He doesn't even have to be really dead. Just something major. So that it can be believable that Hope would move on with someone else like Aiden.

I'm over Kate's role in Rafe and Jordan's story. It isn't making it anymore interesting.

Love that Will's new job is the next conflict for Will and Sonny. Something different.

Intrigued by the legal woes coming from Jack's book. Can't wait to find out what that's about.

I like JJ and Paige together, so I think I'll actually enjoy the teen summer storyline.
I could care less about EJ & Sami as well. I like Abby, but as far as Ben goes, I think he has the most chemistry with Sonny of everyone I've seen him around lol Too bad he can't be gay cuz they're cute together lol

I can't wait for Kristen. Even if the s/l sucks, which it likely will, ED is always a pleasure to watch. On the fence about Eve. I would LOVE it if Marlena were the one that Kristen kidnapped. I neeeeeeed some Kristen vs. Marlena deliciousness. We got so little of it last time, I was really disappointed.

I am unsure about Eve, but I know that Paige, Ben & Jordan all bore me to tears.

I agree that Bo should be killed or "killed" before Hope moves on. It's simply too OOC for her. But I do loves me some Aiden. Yum.

I really wish they would do something else with Kate. The affair with Rafe was some WTFery to begin with, the obsession and "friendship" with him is ridiculous. And Jordan, again, is boring. I've no desire to see my beloved Kate wasted on this crap. I need her to be plotting something with Victor and/or Stefano.

I wish I still cared about Will & Sonny...But GW's Will just does NOTHING for me. I see no chemistry with him and Sonny or him and ANYONE. I'd like Sonny to have some kind of story outside of Will, tbh.

While I'm always down for mention of Jack, all I get from this is another bullshit Fetch obstacle. That's probably why I'm on the fence about Eve too.

JJ & Paige.... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....Fetch lite. And no Bev? Pfft. Bev and Rory are the only teens I give a rat's ass about at this point.
They really should make Ben bi-sexual.. that way we can get some drama to Sonny and Will story. I actually like Sonny and Ben as possible lovers. They do look "hot" together. But then again, I don't think that is going to happen. It would be nice to see more development than being happy married couple Will and Sonny.

And yes, I am more interested seeing Abby deal with the secret being out and everyone else response to it. I hope it will finally mean she will move out of her moms house and that she might interacting more with Nicole etc. Giving her an actual life than being in her moms shadow... time for her to her own apartment.

I'm all about WilSon but even I admit that Ben and Sonny would be HOT. I think they look great together and making Ben bi-sexual would definitely be an interesting twist. Then again, even if they did, I couldn't ever see Sonny doing anything with Ben unless something big blew WilSon up where they had already agreed to divorce and even then I'm not sure about it, at least not right away. Sonny turned down the delicious dish that was a very ready-and-willing Brian (now they were definitely HOT together too) because he couldn't get over Will and that was before they were married with a kid. Sonny is just not the cheating type. If the writers wanted to add a third party between WilSon then please, for the love of Mike, make it so they are truly separated and at least have called the lawyers to get the divorce rolling before either of them shares their bed with somebody else. I'm tired of seeing character after character cheating on their partners or are OK with being a part of an affair with a cheater.

If that isn't something that they want to do then they should still make Ben bi-sexual and bring Brian back for him. They would definitely be a potential couple that I'd love seeing steaming up my screen.

Yeah, I find it funny that, in one thread, we currently have people lamenting the infidelity that is supposedly about to occur in one of the show's few remaining, intact couples who have not yet been unfaithful, and in another thread, we currently have people suggesting ways for infidelity to occur in one of the show's only other couples who meet that same criteria (not necessarily the same people, of course, but you get the point).

I get that some people believe that Will and Sonny are "boring" -- I don't agree with it, but I get it -- but infidelity is far from being the only way to add drama to a relationship. I, for one, appreciate that Will and Sonny are a stable, loving couple -- arguably the most stable, loving couple on the entire show -- and that they only have eyes for each other, and I don't ever want that to change, even if it means that some people will continue to complain that they're "boring".

I couldn't agree with the bolded section more. Sonny has admitted that he had been with other guys (or at least one other) since arriving in Salem but ever since he has admitted to Lucas that he was attracted to Will, we haven't seen or heard about either Will or Sonny even being attracted to other guys. I don't count Brian with Sonny because it was obvious that Sonny was still hurting from Will's lie and he didn't have any real intention of starting something up with Brian. I really enjoy the fact that WilSon is defying the odds of couples in Salem and are this devoted loving couple. That's one of the main reasons I root for them as a couple and the fact that they are both strictly monogamous doesn't make them boring to me either.

I also agree that there are many ways to bring drama to WilSon besides bringing in a third party. That's why I'm still holding out hope that Victor plays a role in Will's new job this summer. That could definitely help provide for some drama for the guys and their relationship while keeping them in character.

I still think Sonny's "it's never been just sex with us" comment to Will during their breakup is the most romantic thing I've ever heard anyone say on this show. I hate how some people insist on describing all sexual encounters as "making love", even when love isn't a factor at all (*cough* E.J. and Abby *cough*), and that line implied, to me, that Sonny knew that, while he hadn't been a virgin when he had slept with Will for the first time, he had never made love to someone before that night. I think that's ultimately why he turned down sex with Brian during the breakup -- yes, he was still in love with Will at that time, but more importantly, being with Will had irrevocably ruined the appeal of casual, meaningless, loveless sex for him.

I'm not entirely certain about Sonny never having close sexual relationships before Will. He has told Will a couple times now that he has never loved anybody the way he has Will. That could mean that he has been in love before but not as devoted as he is with Will or it could mean that he has never been IN love with anybody before Will. Ugh. See this conversation/speculation is exactly why the writers need to flesh out Sonny's past more.

That's why it's hard for me to see Sonny cheat on Will, unless he was some sort of a Stefano level mind altering state. And I really don't want them to cheat on one another but I want some sort of a relationship drama. I want one of Sonny's ex (preferably a hot European) to come to town and to scheme to get Sonny back. I want him to be hot and unscrupulous in his attempt to separate Will and Sonny.

If the writers stick to their characters, which they have done for the most part, then I can't see either Will or Sonny cheating on each other. They would either have to be under mind control, as you stated, or completely drunk or something of the like.

I'm not sure about one of Sonny's ex's coming to Salem to try and get him back. They kind of tried that with Brian and it only made him look like a fool. Now, one of Sonny's ex's coming to Salem and scheming to get Will away from Sonny might prove to be entertaining. Angry and jealous Sonny could be interesting. :)

But Brian was a Salemite and not an ex. There's an added benefit to introducing an ex.... we'll get Sonny's past. Although, there aren't that many 20-year olds with an interesting past, but we'll know a little bit about his travels and what he did.

Well Sonny did tell Will awhile back that he had a selfish ex who was apparently worse than Sami. Too bad we'll probably never meet that guy. He sounds like he could've been interesting to get to know.

I didn't necessarily mean that I believed that Sonny had only ever had "hookups" before meeting and falling in love with Will. That could very well be the case, but that wasn't exactly what I meant. It is entirely possible that Will isn't the first boyfriend Sonny has ever had but is the first guy he has ever truly been in love with. Sonny might have even believed, prior to meeting Will, that he had been in love before, and perhaps he had even said as much to a previous boyfriend, but meeting and falling in love with Will -- and making love to Will for the first time -- could have made him realize that he had never actually been in love before, despite what he had believed at the time of any previous relationship(s). That happens to people all the time in the real world. And that's what Sonny's "it's never been just sex with us" comment implies to me -- that being with Will had made him realize that, in retrospect, every other sexual relationship he had ever had could be described as "just sex", even if he thought at the time of those relationships that he had been "making love". And that's why I hate hearing all sexual encounters described as "making love", because there is a difference.

But yeah, we have no way of knowing for sure, which is why it's an implication, not a confirmation. ;)
