That show is the main reason I can't take Ryan Reynolds seriously as an actor or as "Sexiest Man Alive." All I can think is "dude, you're the kid from Fifteen!"
When i was younger i loved Degrassi, Fifteen, Sweet Valley High, CrissCross, and Breaker High. I wonder will i still love them now. I wonder if Breaker HIgh is on youtube.
It is. Or at least certain episodes are. lol. Ryan Gosling will forever be "Sean" to me.
I work the overnights on the weekend. I know what i am going to be doing next weekend. I loved Breaker High. Thanks to youtube i was able to watch a whole season of the show The Torklesons and the second season of Almost Home. I wonder if i can find Chris Cross on there i loved that show to but many people may not have heard of it because it was on Showtime. I also need to re look up S Club 7 in Miami it was silly and fun to watch.
A pretty crappy day redeemed by the T/Gabi scenes.
Glad the writers remember that Rafe and EJ working together is weird.
I wish Paige was played by a better actress and Paige and JJ had more chemistry, because the writing between them was kind of sweet.
Dannifer. Ugh.
Factually, Eric is in the right. But why is GV playing him as such a cold asshole? He's shown no sense of compassion for Nicole, even if he doesn't want to be with her ...he knows she's troubled and was trying in her own way. There's not even a quiver of sadness for her self destruction? And he only forgives her because of God's demand? He's so not the right guy for her.
Wow! This post is full of so much awesomeness that I don't have any words. . .
Thanks.
It occurs to me, even with blank Paige being blank, there was more complexity, maturity and empathy in the way Paige and JJ were written than Dannifer. And that's factoring in the "older cousin" thing that's kind of stupid. Since the older cousin isn't Theresa (aunt), maybe we'll find out who this mysterious Larson is. But probably not.
And who the fuck breaks up with someone because they didn't think you'd tell a big secret to someone? That's something normal people would just hash out and work through. And neither one of those douches has even stopped to consider that maybe, just maybe Eric deep down didn't want to be a priest? That he didn't go chasing the evidence himself because he wanted to leave? It's not that I think Eric's written that way, he's written and played the opposite, but the fact that Dannifer are such douchey, self-righteous moralists that they don't even consider that sometimes secrets are better left untold, is mind-boggling. Jennifer doesn't think Daniel didn't want to hurt Eric, but rather is too enthralled with Nicole. Jennifer never thought for a second Eric might be in love with Nicole and hurt by the secret (or even knew it all along). Paige and JJ seem to have a better grasp on moral complexity than they do.
I agree with what you said in most of your post, but the bolded part... Actually, it was just the opposite. We sat through days of the mind-numbing scenes with Father McLucky Charms to see that Eric clearly chose to leave the priesthood and be with Nicole before he had any idea that proof of clearing his name was "lost."
Just because it happened six months ago doesn't mean I don't remember it, writers. I'm pretty sure I burned 400 calories hitting fast forward on most of that dull crap.

My problem with Ericole is really a lot in GV's performance. I don't mind that Eric's angry and hurt because Nicole lied to him and betrayed his trust. He should be. However, he doesn't seem angry because she destroyed their happiness. He's angry because in his mind (and everyone else's mind) she stopped him from returning to the priesthood. It's like he's forgotten that he chose her and never really went looking for proof himself.
I don't get a sense he's sad he's lost her or their happiness. So, I think she's probably better off without him.
missmeka1987_, I bet you don't like what they've done to Nicole either. Boo you Days writers *two thumbs down* I feel sorry for Nicole I really do
oh yes lord you already know I hate it..Like I turn the tv to Dull and the beautiful while her part was on lol I can't take it anymore crying, begging, pleading, & pouting this is not my Nicole Walker.. :toetap:
lol that emoji is so funny! I'd like to say goodbye to this Nicole Walker
I don't understand people calling Eric names for not forgiving Nicole and understanding her. It's been only few hours from when Eric found out what Nicole did. He's still in the shock/anger stage. He can't be expected to develop an understanding and compassion for Nicole when she's not even taking responsibility for her actions.
I am usually harsh on Eric, but I think we should give him sometime to sort out his emotions first before we judge him. He's entitled to be angry, hurt and disillusioned.
I'm not angry with Eric or Nicole. I'm angry with what the writers have done to Nicole and I'm certainly angry with the intrusiveness of Daniel and Jennifer. It's none of their fucking business. *shakes head* they should concentrate on their own love life lol

I think that makes sense though. He's angry because he desperately wanted to clear his name and Nicole robed him of that. For him, it's not about being a priest. But it's about being betrayed by the woman he loved and trusted. The woman he believed was on his corner and risked her life to clear his name. Instead, he finds out she lied to him all along and destroyed the evidence that would've cleared him
Why would you trust someone who would do something like that to you? I think Eric was carrying the guild of bringing shame to the church and letting down the congregation and to him his disgrace affected everyone and everything he cares about. I think that's what hurts him the most.
I actually think it's understandable. He's not mentally in a place where he can think about him and Nicole right now. He's still in the anger/hurt stage.

I think Daniel's problem with Jennifer is she thinks he's easily manipulated when it comes to women and she's insecure I mean come on she thought he slept with Theresa and let's not forget how she acted when Chloe was back into town..lol I miss Chloe Nadia was the last female on the show that I feel can Act..

I definitely agree. She is an excellent actress. I still don't think CB can act aka Gabi but that's my opinion. I don't like Gabi. Fortunately for me she is leaving the show.

I totally disagree with that. I don't think he left the priesthood for Nicole at all. When he was with (brother) mclucky charms, he was basically given a choice from above the monk on the church's totem pole- become a monk and be cloistered away or step down because he was a huge embarrassment to the church, and his professing his innocence and searching for proof was undoing all the good work eric had done with the school and the church's ties to the community.
Eric decided (and by decided I mean he actually said it out loud) his actions were costing the church too much, and he hadn't even thought of that. Later he tied it in to Nicole and thinking it was a sign, but his motivation was not wanting to be a monk, and pridefulness. He was going to serve the church how he wanted, not how they wanted and not how god wanted. If he couldn't do it his way, he was tendering his resignation.
I don't think he ever played it like if Kristen dimera walked into town and confessed there was a chance in hell he would stick with Nicole. And she seems to have known that.
My issue is- with all his talk of signs and gods will, and all the stupid shit that he used god to excuse, how the hell is he going to totally dismiss what Nicole is suggesting? That god made her go crazy and not tell him because god wanted eric to not be in the church just because it isn't what he wanted for himself? I've never met one church leader whose motto isn't "god's will be done," who views what happens as what was meant to happen. What priest is angry and vindictive? Who thinks god only works through them and no one else? I don't know if it's the writing or acting or what, but GV is the absolute worst man of god I've seen in any tv show. This is stupid.
So after watching today's episode, I like how they're using Gabi's story to set up all these other plots. Like the other day, when Abby was with her, and she said something to Gabi about carrying what she did around with her all this time and not telling anyone, and she saw how Gabi's life had been blown apart by it. So I'm thinking this may come back to affect the EJabby issue, because Abby may decide she can't carry her sins around for people to find out and use against her.
Then there's jordan and Rafe- who may each be affected differently. Jordan may be seeing what her life could have been had she been caught doing whatever she's running from. And Rafe may be more determined to protect people from their own sins and refusing to allow secrets to exist between him and those he cares about.
But really, the biggest question I have from this episode is how can a doctor who has slept with his patients, including a woman with a high risk pregnancy (who he dumped when she could no longer have sex), lied about a paternity test, misused his rank in the hospital to protect his girlfriend from someone who hates her, covered for a drug overdose, failed to report a friend using cocaine, and frequently manhandles women (and that's a quick list) consider himself some kind of moral guidepost and insist other people also feel that way about him? He has a flexible code of morals and a zipper that's always open. If Jennifer really "never even told a white lie," I feel like he'd know that already.

With a description like that (and you're right, there's more), I can't believe we're supposed to be rooting for this character.

The funniest part was at the end when Dr. Douche walked out with his head held so high. As if he was morally outraged LMAO he wouldn't know a moral if it came up and slapped him with a book of ethics.
