Yeah well, that's true. . . maybe it was/is wishful thinking on my part. I'm tired of Teresa's boring, druggie, bad influence character.
I can't see Kim ever having such a polite talk with Victor. The last time she and Victor were in the same room, after Shawn's death, she made it clear that she still despises him.

For clarification, Kim slept with Victor in Miami. At the time, Victor was holding her captive and was going to force her to leave the country with him. Shane, an ISA agent, was trying to get information on Victor and got locked in a room in Victor's mansion. Victor planned to kill Shane when the room unlocked, so Kim slept with him to give Shane a chance to escape. Later, among other things Victor did to make Kim's and Shane's lives hell, Victor had Kim's past as a prostitute published in the Salem newspapers to try to force her to give up custody of Andrew. That was something Kim had only revealed to Bo and Marlena (and something Shane had discovered).
Wow, Victor sounds like he was a far worst person than Nick. Why aren't other characters walking around dissing him like they do Theresa or Nicole?
And why did Maggie marry him?

Director: Albert Alarr
Scriptwriter: Jeanne Marie Ford

Segment 1: Brady wakes up on Theresa's couch sporting a huge red heart tattoo on his bicep. He tells Theresa he's never partying like that again. Theresa - Where have I heard that one before. I really do think you got the perfect tattoo ... so hot. Brady - What tattoo? Theresa - The one you got on your arm last night silly. Brady sees it - OMG!

Jordan sees Sami and Kate talking in the square and recalls asking Sami what she has against her.

Sami - If you're stupid enough to get back together with Stefano there's nothing I can do to stop you but don't make me look bad in front of him. Kate - As if you need any help! Sami - And btw, don't do anything to stop my marriage to EJ. Kate - As if I give a damn! Sami - You don't care. You just do anything you want. You're such a nosy Parker ... Jordan interrupts. Sami - Speaking of which, may I help you.

Ben serves Hope coffee at a table in the club. Congrats on solving your murder case. Hope - Thanks. Ben - I'm glad you won't be calling me in for any more questioning. You're tough. Hope - It was important to me to solve this case. Julie joins Hope and orders a coffee. Hope - Thanks for meeting me. Julie - You said it was important. Hope - It is. Gabi's entering a pleas this morning at the courthouse and as Nick's family you have a right to object to the deal if you'd like. She hands her the document.

EJ comes into a room at the courthouse and sees Rafe. You look terrible. Rafe - Yeah, which is strange, because I feel great! So what do you think; is the judge going to accept Gabi's plea? EJ - I think it's possible there'll be some qualms about the generous terms. Rafe - Generous, right, yeah. Second degree murder for doing the world a favour and offing that bastard. EJ - As long as nobody ever hears you talk like that I think the deal will go through due to the extenuating circumstances. Rafe - Okay, yeah. So let me get this straight. The best case scenario is my sister is going to get 10 - 20 years in prison. Gabi is brought into the room and she goes into Rafe's arms.

Kate - Excuse me, but this is a private conversation. Jordan - Which you are conducting in a public place, quite loudly, I might add. In case you haven't noticed, people are beginning to stare. Kate - So! Sami - Actually I don't have time to entertain the people anymore with you so I'm going to get going. Do me a favour though and remember what happened the last time things went south between you and Stefano. Kate - You should remember what happened the last time things went south with you and EJ and the time before that and the time before that. Sami - Just shove it. She leaves. Kate starts to leave. Jordan - Wait a minute. I have a question for you. What did you say to Sami about me.

Will opens the apt. door to Victor. Vic - I apologise for not calling. I heard Gabi was going before the judge today and it could go very quickly. Will - EJ entered a plea bargain. If the judge accepts it there won't be a trial, she'll just go to ... Vic - Well if there's anything I can do for you and Sonny just ask. Will - Thank you. Sonny told me what you were willing to do to protect us. Vic - Nothing compared to what you were willing to sacrifice when you thought Sonny needed protecting. My nephew is a very lucky man. Sonny comes out of the bedroom. That's true. Also lucky to have a man like you as my uncle. They hug.

Gabi - I spoke to Mommy today; she could barely talk. Rafe - She's just torn up because she can't be here, that's all. She tried to sweet talk her doctor into letting her fly. Gabi - I know. I just hope that by the time I get out she's still ... Rafe - Come on. Gabi - Rafe, I don't know how to get through this day without you. Rafe - Where else would I be. Gabi - Okay. Rafe - Before we go into that courtroom I need to know that this is definitely what you want to do. Plead guilty, no trial ... Gabi - I am guilty. I killed Nick and I have to pay for what I did, all of it. I just hope you understand why I'm doing this. You do, right? Rafe - Yes. You have my support, always. Gabi - Okay, I just want to get this over with. She turns to EJ - Everything will be settled this morning, right? EJ - Well the judge has the final say but I really don't foresee any problems unless Nick's family has an objection.

Julie - This plea deal is a joke, right? Hope shakes her head no. The DA made the offer and Gabi accepted it. I imagine the judge will approve it and sentence Gabi today. Julie - Do Joshua and Jessica ... do they know about this? Were they even told about this? Hope - I haven't heard from them. Actually I haven't heard from anyone else in the family so I'm assuming they're okay with it and they don't have a problem with it. Julie - How can they not have a problem with it. It's as though Gabi would be paying a parking fine instead of being punished for committing murder. Hope - She'll be spending years behind bars. Julie - Not nearly long enough Hope. This isn't justice and you know it. This is anything but.

Segment 2: Brady - How could you let me get this thing! Theresa - Relax, it's temporary. It'll wash off. Brady - It bothers me when I don't remember things. Theresa - You know I wouldn't let you get into trouble; not that much anyway. She offers him cereal. He's not hungry. She picks up a vial of coke. How about something more substantial? A little pick me up.

Kate - Do you really think Sami or I would waste a single minute talking about you. Jordan - I don't know why else she would suddenly have all this animosity toward me. Kate - Sooner or later Sami feels that way about everyone. Jordan - Yeah but it all started right after you accused me of misleading him. Kate - I accused you of misleading him because you have more phony ID's in that apt. then they do in the average frat house. Jordan - If Rafe knew you'd broken in to my place ... Kate - But he won't, will he? And if Sami finally figured out what a complete phony you are well there it is because I didn't tell her. She and I don't share those kind of confidences. Jordan - Then why is she so angry with me. Kate - The last person you need to be worrying about right now is Sami Brady because when I have the proof that finally exposes all your lies, no one in this town in going to like you. Everyone is going to hate you, including Rafe. So given your imminent return to your transient ways I don't know why you'd even stick around for that.

Will - Ari is still napping. She doesn't usually go down until the afternoon but last night was a tough night. Sonny - She kept waking up calling for her Mom. Vic - I can't imagine how difficult this is going to be for the 2 of you. Well actually I can. When Brady's mother died he was hardly much older than Arianna is now. Will - But Gabi will still be able to call and write. Vic gets a text. He's not pleased. Sonny - It's okay if you have to go. Vic - I hope things go as well as they can for Gabi today. Will - Thank you. Sonny walks Vic to the door. Will - I really wish Gabi hadn't asked us to stay here with Ari. I want to be there to support her in person. Sonny - Gabi is way stronger than people think she is. She's going to be okay. Will - I hope so.

Gabi - If someone from Nick's family doesn't like the plea deal then I'll probably go to trial. I could get life. Rafe - Gabi, don't go there. EJ - That is a possibility ... Rafe - Do you know if any of the Horton's plan on showing up? EJ - I know that we have contacted his parents and his grandmother and they've elected not to come but we just don't know if another relative, Hope or Maggie, could decide to weigh in. Rafe - Which doesn't mean they will. Gabi - EJ, if everything goes as planned and I get sentenced today, will I be able to see my baby before I go to prison. EJ - I think the judge will allow that and if he doesn't I'll fight it. Gabi - Thank you. She means the world to me and I don't know how I'd be able to say goodbye.

Julie - How did this insane deal even come to be! Hope - Well the DA, the Mayor and the Governor were concerned about bad publicity. They don't want a trial dragging on. Julie - Outrageous. Absolutely outrageous. It's as though Nick's life wasn't worth anything at all and he was a brilliant kid! He was sweet. He was kind. He was trying to find his way ... Ben puts her coffee down ... And a maniac. The first time I saw the guy he was attacking Abigail, his own cousin. Julie - Yes I know who Abigail is. Ben - Well no man should talk to a woman or to anyone the way he did. Julie - Have I asked for your opinion? Hope - Would you excuse us please? Ben - Sure, I'm sorry. Julie - I suppose he expects a tip. Hope - Julie. Julie - What! The busboy, a virtual stranger thinks he's qualified to put in his 2 cents. Oh wow, God, everyone's going to pour it on now Nick's dead. Hope - Nick made a lot of people angry. Julie - Why are you making excuses for everyone! Who's side on you on! Hope - Julie, I am devastated that Nick's dead. Can't you see that! But we can't pretend that Nick was innocent in all this. I don't see how a long, drawn out trial is going to help anyone. Julie - I disagree. Hope - I better get going. Gabi's due in court soon. I'm guessing I'll see you there. Julie - Oh you'll certainly see me there. I really don't care what anybody else thinks. I'm going to make sure Nick gets the justice he deserves.

Segment 3: Brady - I need a shower. That will clear my head. Theresa - You think that will do the trick? Brady - It's going to have to. Listen, I can not party like that every night like we did. Theresa understands. I don't really care what we do as long as we're together. After he's gone Theresa stares at the vial - No way he's ending his love affair with this. There's a knock on the door. Its Vic. Where's my grandson you little tramp!

Jordan comes into the club and greets Ben. She tells him she'll have tea. Ben - What's wrong? Jordan - Nothing. I'm just worried about Rafe. His sister's hearing is this morning. Ben - So why are you here and not there with him. Jordan - Because I'm not sure that he wants me there.

Sami is over at Will and Sonny's. Have you heard anything yet? Will - No, the hearing is supposed to start in a couple of minutes. Sonny - If the judge decides to let Gabi see Ari one more time I should get everything packed up and ready to go before Ari wakes up. Sami - That's a good idea. EJ's going to make sure that Gabi gets to see Ari. He worked miracles so that you and your brother and sisters could come see me when I was in jail. That visit, it made all the difference. It gave me hope. Will - You got out. Gabi, even if she gets the minimum sentence that's 10 years. Ari hasn't been away from Gabi for more than a day and now she's not going to be able to raise her child. Sami - Sweetheart, we will make sure that Arianna Grace wants for nothing. Will - How about Gabi? What if the judge doesn't accept the plea. She could go to prison for life and that will kill her.

When EJ, Rafe and Gabi come out of the room Hope walks up to them. DA Jenkins is already inside. I'm sure the judge has had plenty of time to look over the agreement. EJ - I haven't heard from the DA or the Judge so I have every reason to believe the plea deal will go ahead as planned. Julie walks up. Not if I have anything to do with it. You took Nick's future away from him so I'm here to do the same to you.

Segment 4: Theresa - Brady's in the shower. And you may not remember but we've met before and I even have a name, it's Theresa. She holds out her hand. Vic ignores it. I know who you are. Theresa - Can I offer you something while you wait, some cereal? Vic - How about some disinfectant. Theresa - Have a seat. Vic - I'll stand. I'm not one for small talk and I doubt you have the capacity for it. Just get my grandson out here and make it snappy. Theresa - Didn't anyone teach you how to say please. This is my home and you come in here insult me and then you order me around. Vic - You certainly have your mother's fire. Unfortunately you also inherited Kimberly's loose sexual morals. Theresa - Excuse me. Vic - I know what you're up to, you little gold digger. Brady - Granddad, stop.

Hope - Julie, this isn't the time or the place. Julie - You're right. I'll have my say when we all go into the courtroom and when I'm finished that judge will be convinced that this doe-eyed little guttersnipe does not deserve to get away with murder. Rafe - Gabi's taking full responsibility for her actions which is more than I can say Nick ever did. Julie - You call this full responsibility! Rafe - 10 to 20 years in prison isn't enough for you? EJ calls Hope aside. I really don't think that Julie and the rest of your family want Nick's sins to be dredged through court. Hope - I've tried talking to her. EJ - You told me he wanted to change. I happen to believe him. This is their last chance to do something noble in his name. Hope stares and then goes into another room. Gabi - Ten years away from my baby isn't enough punishment? Julie - No. Rafe - Well think about how long Nick served for taking another man's life. Julie - A despicable man! Rafe - Exactly. Julie - And Nick was not in his right mind then. Rafe - Because he was on drugs. Julie - Gabi knew exactly what she was doing, didn't you! Rafe - Julie ... Julie - I want the whole world to know how much love was in Nick's heart and how many people loved him. Gabi - I know that. Julie - Then you should understand that we want our justice and I'm going to make sure we get it.

Jordan - Rafe was so upset last night. I tried to cheer him up but he insisted he wanted to be alone. Ben - So you gave him space. Jordan - Of course, I did. Ben - Do you think that's what he really needs? Jordan - No, but ... Ben - Then do something about it. I mean, you love this guy, right? Jordan - Yes. Ben - Yeah and he loves you too. So don't second guess yourself. Aren't you sick of always being that way? Jordan - You're right. I am sick of it and I know you are too. Ben - You and I finally have a chance at a normal life, as normal as it gets anyway. Don't blow it, okay. Jordan - Okay. Thanks for the talk. You know what, I don't think I need that tea after all. Ben - Good luck.

EJ pulls Gabi aside - A word please. Gabi - EJ, OMG, Julie's going to do whatever it takes to make sure that the judge rejects the agreement. EJ - Breathe. Gabi - How can I do that! If we go to trial then everything is going to come out. Not just Nick but how I hired that psycho who kidnapped Melanie. I could go to prison for life. A cop walks up. The judge is ready for you. EJ - Thank you. Rafe walks Gabi into court. Hope grabs Julie and stops her from going inside. Julie, I hope you're thinking very carefully on what you're planning on doing. Julie - I have Hope. We let Nick down when he was alive. I'm not going to let him down now. Julie's phone buzzes. Hope - I think you should answer that. Hope leaves her alone as Julie looks at the caller ID.

Segment 5: Will - Why haven't we heard anything. It should be done by now. Sonny - There's probably a delay. Will gets a call. Rafe, what's going on? Okay, we'll get Arianna. We'll bring her over right now. Sonny - What did he say? Sami - Did the judge accept the plea.

Rafe, Gabi, EJ and a cop come back into the hallway. Rafe - Are you okay? Julie and Hope come out of the courtroom. Gabi goes to Julie. Thank you. You don't know how grateful I am. Julie - Don't thank me Gabi. Nick's parents, his grandmother, they're extraordinarily generous people. For some reason they felt that they had to call me and tell me they didn't want to see an extended trial. They didn't want to see Nick's name dragged through the mud again by your unscrupulous attorney. Gabi - I'm so sorry. Julie - Sorry ... it doesn't cut it. I know Nick was far from perfect but he loved you. So I treated you like family because I thought you loved him. So now I hope you serve every minute of your 20 years and in that 20 years perhaps you'll develop a modicum of empathy for what Nick went through. She and Hope leave. EJ - Don't worry. With parole it's not going to be anywhere near that long. Gabi - It still feels like forever. She turns to Rafe. The judge said I could see Arianna. Rafe - Your little girl is on her way.

Brady sends Theresa to get some shampoo because she's out. She leaves. Brady - WTH are you thinking! Vic - I'm not the one with a tacky tattoo on my arm. Brady - It will wash off. What are you doing here? Vic - You weren't returning my calls. I asked around. John said I could find you here. Brady - He had no right to tell you where I was. Vic - Why not? You have a right to ruin your life but the people who love you don't have a right to care. You missed a whole days work yesterday and I suspect you're planning the same thing for today. Brady - I always get the job done. You know that. I just had a rough day. Vic - You want to talk about a rough day, talk to your friend Rafe. You probably haven't even bothered to get in touch with him. Brady - That's not true. I left him a message. Vic - He's the only friend you haven't pushed away. His sister is going to prison. Do you really think a message is sufficient? Brady - What am I supposed to do. I don't know what I can do. Vic - And what about Maggie. Her nephew was murdered. You've barely been there for her. Brady - I've had a lot on my plate. Vic - Damn it Brady. Stop making excuses. If you don't get your act together soon ... Brady - What are you going to do? Are you going to fire me? Vic - I'll do more than fire you. I'll disown you. Brady - Hey, how many times did you disown Philip. Why don't you just go. Vic opens the door to leave. I mean it Brady. You better start making some changes right now or I'll kick you out on your drunken ass.

Gabi - I know I should call Mom but I can't talk to her right now, I just can't. Rafe - I'll tell her. Gabi - Thank you. I remember when Arianna went to prison. Mommy said like 200 Hail Mary's. She was so ashamed and now ... Rafe - She's not ashamed of you. If anything she should be ashamed of me. Gabi - What, no. Rafe - First I let Arianna down and now you. Gabi - No Rafe, you are not to blame for any of this. You're more than just a big brother. You're the only Dad I've ever had. You've given up so many Friday night dates and overtime checks so that I could have a good life. Rafe - Well I never felt like I was ever giving anything up. You were way more important to me than any of that stuff. Gabi cries - I'm going to miss you so much. Rafe holds her. Me too. Sonny and Will come in with Ari. Gabi holds her. Oh my God.

Segment 6: Vic walks up to the bar in the club. Ben - Hey, Mr. K. The Esmeralda special? Vic - How did you know? Ben - It's in the employee training manual. Sonny's uncle's favourite coffee. Make yourself comfortable wherever you like. I'll be right back with your drink. Vic sees Kate on her laptop and goes to her table. Kate - Sorry, I didn't see you come in. Vic - It would seem you have a little explaining to do. Kate - I beg your pardon. Vic - I heard you were out of town on a romantic rendezvous with Stefano DiMera. Have you completely lost you mind.

Gabi holds Ari and talks to her. It's going to be so hard for me to say goodbye to you. But look, I don't want you to miss me. You have two amazing Daddy's and you're going to have a wonderful life. Will - And you're going to be a part of it Gabi, soon. Gabi - Hey, Mommy had a good day today and EJ says that if I follow the rules I probably won't have to serve my full sentence. Okay. And I know that I'm not going to be able to tuck you in at night honey or help you with your homework or teach you how to make Christmas empanada's. I'm going to miss you every second that I'm away from you okay. Will - We're going to talk to her about you every day. She's going to know that her mother is a glamorous model and ... Sonny - A great friend. Will - And we're going to hold off on the tamales until you can come back and show her yourself. Gabi - You're going to be so big. I probably won't recognise you. You probably won't recognise me. Sonny - She'll recognise you because we're going to send photos and videos and we're going to come see you so much you're going to be sick of our faces. Gabi - Never. Will - You're going to be a part of her life always. Gabi - Hey listen, the thought of us being together again is going to help me get through this. (The baby is just staring at her - it's so darn cute). I love you so much. You're my little angel. You're my miracle. I can't wait to have you in my arms again.

Sami thanks EJ for what he did for Gabi. No one could have gotten her a better deal. EJ - You know she almost didn't get that deal. Thank God that Julie Williams kept her bloody mouth shut. Sami - She did? That's rare. EJ - Gabi's lucky. If this had gone to trial she would have gotten a much longer sentence. Sami - Absolutely and things would have come out that would have hurt all of us. Jordan walks up - Hi, I'm looking for Rafe. EJ - Oh, he's with Gabi. Rafe and Hope come into the hallway. Jordan goes to him. Hi. I hope you don't mind that I came. I just thought that you could use the support. Rafe - Thanks. They hug. Sami is not looking very pleased.

Gabi - I've got to go away soon but you're going to be surrounded by so many people who love you. And you know some kids don't even have a daddy but you've got two. How did you get so lucky. She looks at Will - Can you promise me something. Will - Sure. Gabi - Can you leave the lullaby singing for Sonny please. Will - Why? Gabi - Because you get off key. Sonny - You do. Why do you think it takes you so long to get her to sleep. I appreciate that request. Will - Since when are you so brutally honest. Gabi - Well I call it straightforward and I think Sonny's rubbing off on me. Sonny - You think I'm straightforward. Gabi - I think I'm finally realising why we used to fight so much. Sonny - Well that and I can be downright annoying sometimes so ... Gabi - You're not annoying. You're kind and generous and I'm glad you made me face those things I didn't like. Thank you for that. Sonny - Thank you for bringing this baby girl into my life. You're my family Gabi just as much as she is. Gabi - Will, I know that we didn't work out romantically but I believe you were meant to be a part of my life and not just because we brought this beautiful angel into the world but because you've become my best friend. And we've gone through pretty much everything together. Thank you so much. Will takes her hands. Me too but don't go getting any new BFF because you're stuck with me. Sonny - And me. Will - Always. The cop comes in. It's time. Gabi cries as she kisses Ari's head.

Segment 7: Ben serves Vic. Kate waits until Ben returns to the bar. How dare you spy on me! Vic - I was keeping tabs on Stefano, not you. Surely you haven't fallen for him again. Kate - I haven't fallen for anyone alright but even if I were to it is none of your business. Vic - You are my employee in a very high profile position I might add. Canoodling with my biggest competitor is not good business. You best measure your next move very carefully. You might find yourself out of a job. He leaves.

Theresa returns. She suggests joining him for the rest of that shower. Brady has to go to work. Theresa says she probably should too. Brady thinks they should do a hit before they go. Theresa agrees.

The guys come into the hallway with Ari. Sami - How are you guys holding up? Will - We're okay. Gabi's trying to be so brave ... The cop comes out with Gabi who is in handcuffs. - Detective, she's ready for transfer. Hope goes to her. EJ - Gabi ... Gabi - Thank you, the both of you, for your support. Sami hugs her. Gabi turns to Jordan - Remember what you promised me. Jordan - I won't forget. Gabi looks at Rafe - She's going to take care of you. I didn't have to ask. You listen okay, don't be sad for me 'cause I'm going to take this time and I'm going to use it to become a better person; someone you can be proud of. Rafe - I already am. He holds her as she cries. She goes to Ari. Sweetheart, it's goodbye for now but you have to know how much Mommy loves you okay. She loves you so much. The cop leads her away. Gabi turns for one last look at everyone.

I still have no patience for Julie. She was horrible again today, and I really want someone to tell her, in no uncertain terms, exactly what her beloved Nick was truly capable of. And I'm still waiting for that apology that she owes Will.

As for Gabi, I often thought that she was a horrible excuse for a "friend" of Will and Sonny's, but she will always hold a special place in my heart for ridding me of the worst character I have ever had the displeasure of watching on this show.

I miss Chandler Massey every single day, but especially on days like today.
You're making feel reluctant to watch. Can you elaborate?
I just think (know) that Chandler would have done a much better job with these scenes. Guy Wilson doesn't "bother" me, per se -- I've never been impressed with him, but he doesn't annoy me (or worse) like Blake Berris did, and I don't blame him for the fact that Chandler is gone, nor do I begrudge him for taking over the role -- but there's no real emotion in his performance. When I watch Gabi talk to Will about everything they've been through together, it just rings hollow, because she's not talking to the person she went through those things with -- she's just talking to some guy (no pun intended, I promise), and it's like that guy doesn't even know what she's talking about. He goes through the motions and does a passable, inoffensive job, but there's just no depth or emotional connection to it at all. He's just not Will. He's just some guy. And on days like today or the day of Will and Sonny's wedding, that issue is especially obvious and especially difficult to handle.

Also, when Sami was talking to Will about how E.J. had worked miracles to allow her to receive visits from Will and his siblings while she was awaiting trial for shooting Bernardi, I literally had to think about it for a second, because my first reaction was, "You never received a visit from the guy you're talking to." I had to remind myself that she did indeed receive a visit from that guy, he just had a different face at the time. When anyone talks about things that happened to Chandler's Will, it feels like they're talking about another character entirely.

I definitely don't miss Chandler on the days where it's Gabi and Will scenes together. They had a weird vibe together and Sonny would pretty much disappear with Will when they were all together. Guy definitely handled the scenes much differently than Chandler would've and I personally can appreciate that. It is a little different to see Sonny as being the emotional one between the two but I can get on board with that as well.

I miss Chandler Massey every single day, but especially on days like today.

I never got that impression. I also never saw anything from Chandler that I would have described as "an annoying smirk", nor do I agree with the suggestions that he was always uncomfortable displaying intimacy in scenes with Freddie Smith. (Not that you brought either of those up, of course -- I'm just listing the usual complaints that crop up about him on this site.) But I do realize that we all see things differently. My opinion is that Chandler "got" Will much better than Guy ever has.

Of course Chandler Massey "got" Will. He played him for four years and was the first Will who pretty much had big story during his entire run. I'm not particularly crazy about Guy Wilson either (although I think he does just fine), but in his defense, he's only been playing Will for a little over five months. In time, he'll probably "get" Will too.

Actually I have brought it up in the past that I thought CM had issues with the WilSon intimate scenes. I saw the smirk that he would do but it didn't bother me like it did others. For me I still think that GW is feeling out the character of Will and his relationship with Sonny a bit. Yeah, it's been 5 months but we really haven't seen GW flex his acting muscles with a more emotional storyline like we got to see with CM during his 3 and a half years. I think quite a few viewers see Will as being a little more mature (though not a stranger to impulsive and stupid actions like always) of a character. Each actor of a character brings some changes with them. I think it's unrealistic to want GW to be anything like CM. The character of Will has changed greatly over the past few years for a few reasons, tbh, and since he is still in his early twenties, I can buy that as being fairly realistic.

I'm totally cool with agreeing to disagree. :) CM was praised for his work as Will when it was him and Marlena or Sami or whomever but not so much with Sonny. That's where he lacked a little bit with me.

Just to be clear, I don't want or expect Guy to be like Chandler. I just don't get the impression that Guy even knows what Will went through before the day that he assumed the role. I'm not sensing any depth or understanding beneath the surface when he talks to characters about things that happened to Chandler's Will. When Chandler took over for Dylan Patton, I felt like he was Will from day one. I've had no trouble accepting recasts of other characters in the past. But this time, I'm just not feeling it.

Hope - Julie, I am devastated that Nick's dead. Can't you see that! But we can't pretend that Nick was innocent in all this. I don't see how a long, drawn out trial is going to help anyone.

I'm probably not remembering correctly, but didn't Kate live under a false name at one time, while trying to avoid Curtis? Wonder why she never considers Jordan could be in a similar situation.
Good question!

I'll reiterate what I said in the upthread. Hope was awesome today, even though it was not "her" episode. She really has a lot of moral authority and she is very expressive just in her face and body language. Days isn't that good at moral complexity (they usually try and fail), but Hope sure is giving it a go with her reaction to Nick's death.

In my opinion, Guy Wilson has much more chemistry with Freddie Smith than Chandler Massey ever did. But on the flip side, Guy Wilson just doesn't click with the members of Will's family the way Chandler Massey did. I'm hoping that changes the longer GW stays with the show and grows into the role of Will.

good eppi. My one complaint is that GW can't play sad well. Sonny was crying at the end and GW just looked the same as normal basically. He so should have been crying too. I know not everyone would in that situation but I consider Will not one of them.

I feel the opposite. I think Guy Wilson doesn't have much chemistry with Freddie Smith. I can relate to Chandler more and I felt like there's more of a bond between Chandler and Freddie but that's just my opinion
