on my local station, days is preempted for the us open. is this happening anywhere else?
It was mentioned somewhere that due to the U.S. Open coverage that Days would air at different times in the Central and Pacific timezones today and tomorrow. I know for me personally (in Oregon) I usually see Days at 1pm but today and tomorrow it will be at 11am. Check with your local station or if your service provider has a programming guide, you should be able to scroll through and find out what time Days will air.
I live in IL and it aired normal time her central time zone at 11Am
Oops, that should say Mountain and Pacific time zones, not Central, my bad! :)

Thanks, Will & Sonny for responding to my question.

About Chandler, I love Chandler and I really miss him. But I also like Guy.

I disagree with some of my fellow WilSonites who say Chandler had no chemistry with Freddie. I think they had a great chemistry. But Will was much younger and way less experienced than Sonny. It made sense for to be tentative and little shy. But I really liked the subtle and gentle ways they showed affection. Chandler was always touching Freddie or looking at him. I liked that. It was believable for that stage in the relationship. With Guy, I can believe that they have an equal relationship and that Will is sexually mature now.

Having said that, I think Chandler would've shown more emotions today. Chandler's Will was all emotions. Guy's Will is more of a stiff upper lip kinda guy. I am not sure if that's the direction or the actors choice. I like it most times, but today, I wanted lots of emotions and I didn't get that.

This is of no consequence at all, but I wish they'd consult an architect for even just a few minutes when designing these sets. It's driving me absolutely BATTY that the door into the room at the police station swings completely the wrong way. Especially since that set keeps getting recycled over and over and over again. You never have a door open up to the wall like that. It should open into the room. It's not handicapped accessible and a police station certainly would follow the appropriate code in that regard.

In my opinion, Guy Wilson has much more chemistry with Freddie Smith than Chandler Massey ever did. But on the flip side, Guy Wilson just doesn't click with the members of Will's family the way Chandler Massey did. I'm hoping that changes the longer GW stays with the show and grows into the role of Will.
completely agree with this. Hopefully it does change with time.

I think it will as Guy becomes more comfortable with the role.

I'm not saying Chandler Massey had NO chemistry with Freddie Smith, because they definitely had some. But it didn't really help that Chandler's favorite facial expression was that goofy grin. They seemed like "boys" to me. When Guy stepped into the role, Will and Sonny's relationship automatically seemed more mature. So when it comes to WilSon as a couple, Guy and Freddie definitely click better than Guy and Chandler.

I find it strange that everyone reacted to the Gabi reveal except Caroline and Eric. Even Theresa and Brady reacted in their own way (Theresa was supposed to be visiting WilSon's apartment to check on them and she said she was calling her mom, and Brady coke-dailed Rafe to offer him support); yet, nothing from Eric. Yesterday, Eric was talking to Caroline about a party or something but no mention of the Gabi situation. I mean, Eric was all over the Nick shooting because it affected his BFF Jen Jen.

There were things I really liked about Chandler and things I really like about Guy. I too would like to see a little more emotion from Guy's Will. I agree with the stiff upper lip/stoic thing and assumed it was Guy choosing to play it that way but as you pointed out it could be the director requesting that. I too would have liked to have seen more emotion out of Will today.

I mentioned in a LJ post that I would love to see a scene were that night Will falls apart and breaks down in Sonny's arms and Sonny comforts him. I think it would fit well with the "put a brave face on in public but break down in private" attitude they might be going with with Will.

I will be really curious to see how Guy does with a storyline that doesn't revolve around Nick and Gabi! If you've not seen Guy in "Werewolf: The Beast Among Us," I highly recommend it (especially if you are a Guy fan like me.) I was pretty impressed with Guy. It is a horror film so it's pretty gory but it really shows what Guy is capable of.

As for the 'smirk' that Chandler often did, especially towards the end of his run- I have been know to smirk/smile at inappropriate times myself. I tend to be a nervous/anxious person and I think that is why I do it and I can't really help it when I do it. It might be the same with him. Just a thought.

I think Chandler is a great actor, but I HATED the smirk. It was not a good acting choice, and something Chandler did quite often toward the end of his run when he started phoning his performances in. By the time it was time for Chandler to go, I wasn't even sad because his acting had gotten on my nerves THAT much.

You know what I hate about this? Julie has completely forgotten Will and Ari in this, that this baby will grow up without her mother. And like many have said, where has Julie been? Cruising around the world, not there for Nick, really she doesn't know shit but she is there to take Gabi's future away.
Julie thinks 10-20 years in prison is "like paying a parking ticket" and Gabi deserves more time than that. But yet Nick only served 4 years in prison for murder and kidnapping. Julie is too wrapped up in her delusions of her precious Nick worship. She was too annoying in my opinion.

I totally forgot about Julie and Ari. I mean, Julie has always preferred Nick to Will. She's shown time and again that she doesn't give a damn about Will and she was perfectly uninterested in finding out what Nick did to Will. She always dismissed it with her lame "he apologized" excuse. But for her not to think about Ari is just cruel and inexcusable. She didn't even remember that adorable little baby losing her mother.

Now I even dislike Julie more than ever. She needs to take a long cruise.

I'm probably not remembering correctly, but didn't Kate live under a false name at one time, while trying to avoid Curtis? Wonder why she never considers Jordan could be in a similar situation.
Good question!
Well, her LAST name was different (Winograd?), but she's always gone by Kate. Unless someone is calling her Katerina or Katherine - idiot Dimeras.
Kate Winograd isn't the same Kate though. Kate W. was a doctor.
It is the same Kate. The writers simply changed some stuff about her character; like they're so prone to do to fit the storyline.

Why was pretty much everyone dressed like they were going to a funeral? Gabi's not dead - she's just going to prison. It's really okay to be dressed in a color other than black. lol.

Hasn't Lauren Koslow been pretty emphatic that they're not the same? I think it's similar to Alex North and that professor Marlena slept with. They're based on each other, but not necessarily the same.

wow. Who did Hope get to phone Julie to reel her in? Doug?
That was my first thought!
Julie said Nick's parents called and said they did not want a trial to drag Nick's name through the mud, and to let the plea deal go through. Hope called them to talk to Julie (after EJ asked Hope to do something to stop Julie from making a scene).

I agree, that smirk was annoying and broke you out of the scene and reminded you that you were watching actors. Jason Cook did the same thing, even worse.

How the hell am I supposed to take Will seriously when he's dressed like that?!
Not sure why Will is wearing his grandpa sweater. Shirt and tie would have been fine. Sonny looks nice though.

The wardrobe person who dressed Will today should serve Gabi's full prison sentence. #FreeGabi

Maybe Will inherited all of great-grandpa Tom's sweaters.

Did Will start wearing sweaters when he came back from California? Maybe, he's going with the hipster/bohemian look. I know a lot of hipsters who dress like that. Usually, they wear better sweaters though!
