Will Horton, wtf are you wearing? Preparing to belt out "Won't you be my neighbor?"
Posted Image
The wardrobe person who dressed Will today should serve Gabi's full prison sentence. #FreeGabi
I'm not a huge fan of this outfit either, even though Guy has an awesome body and can pull off almost anything. I do find it funny though that people who liked this outfit, (cough..Matt) when it was posted back in January in those behind the scenes pics with Kate Mansi and Freddie, are the ones who seem to hate it the most now. :D
I guess maybe he didn't have the tie and it looked more casual in those pictures.

I really wanted more emotion from Will in this episode. Especially when Gabi was taken away and Sonny was crying.

Gabi says more loving things. She says Will should leave the lullaby singing to Sonny because Will sings off key. Gabi and Sonny talk about how they used to fight but they say nice things to each other. Gabi says that even though Will and her didn't work out romantically, that he was meant to be a part of her life and they are best friends. Will says he'll always be her BFF. Gabi is called away and she weeps and kisses Arianna.
It's funny that they said this because last year after they brought the baby home, Will jumped up from the couch to go sing to her. Then when he heard that Sonny was singing to her at night, while Will was still on pain meds, Will said no wonder she couldn't sleep, or something to that effect. I think this was because Chandler is a good singer and Freddie is admittedly bad at it. Of course we have never seen proof either way on the show, but they could at least try to stick to what has already been stated about who has a good voice. I guess details like this just bug me.

I remembered that scene as well. But the scene worked for me be because baby Ari laughed after Sonny agreed with Gabi. Lil Miss Horton is a treasure. I hope we'll see more of her. But I hope they don't involve her in any more emotionally intense scenes. At one point she looked concerned when both Sonny and Gabi were crying (they're the two people she's most familiar with).

For some reason, the Gabi scenes don't feel as emotional as the ones last week.
Too much of a good thing.

When Victor told Will and Sonny if there was anything he could do for them, they should just ask,I thought it odd that neither Sonny nor Will thought to even asked Victor if he could possibly exert any influence with the judge to see that Gabi's plea deal went through.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
Hasn't Lauren Koslow been pretty emphatic that they're not the same? I think it's similar to Alex North and that professor Marlena slept with. They're based on each other, but not necessarily the same.
 I'm just referencing what two separate online bios say about Kate's character and regardless of occupations, both bios say Kate Winograd is Lucas' mom, who had an affair in the 70s with Bill Horton. I guess Lauren can say what she wants and the writers can bend the characters to fit the storylines, but sounds like they're one in the same to me. However, I can TOTALLY see if you actually watched backed then that it would bug long time viewers. Gotta love their lack of character continuity, huh?
Oh, I wouldn't go by those on that kind of thing. The show hasn't actually established it, but it's one of those things that many people have long assumed. You should talk to Matt and Jason about it. We've had this conversation many times.
ROFL! I just figured "had been a doctor" was a "hooker" now a "CEO" was kinda how almost every character on there was/is written. Like Sami and Jennifer who barely have high school diplomas and no college degrees and are now corporate moguls and PR directors. Except Kate's was in REVERSE!

Who knew!? Sorry if I caused confusion. . . although, I still reserve the right to blame the parade of inconsistent writers throughout the decades! ;)

How the hell am I supposed to take Will seriously when he's dressed like that?!
It kinda looks like something Doug would wear.
It's like they're afraid for him to have any fashion sense because it would be "stereotypically gay" and they work so hard to keep Wilson away from being "stereotypically gay" that they are just plain dull. Definitely a problem for whomever is in charge of Wilson & their story arcs, not the actors. I think if they weren't so afraid to cross that line once in a while, Wilson would have more depth.
Ehhhh. Cardigans with ties were huge for men back in... 2009?

Maybe they're going for Will being a hipster? Idk, he gives off a Bruno Mars vibe.

I never ever need to see those people again that were in the first picture.

Gabi's last scenes were nice and I'm glad she got a good exit, however I don't feel any need to ever see her back again, she's just not an important character to the show at all, bye!

I don't really mind Will's clothes although I knew people would start yapping about it the minute I saw it :blulaugh: LOL

Julie is always a barking little mut but this time she had every right to be upset.

LOL @ Sami Kate fights being so obviously fake.... do they really expect us to fall for that... lol?

This supposed Sami Jordan thing is so ridiculous, they are not going to have any sort of a rivalry, neither party has really any time for that plus they aren't interested in the same men in the least, which made the scenes pointless, of course.

Bwahaaaa - best moment of the day Victor telling that nasty little tramp exactly what she is, and to go get Brady and do it snappy :blulaugh: bwahhahhahaaa. Good for him, and finally someone told this slut the truth. And I'm sorry she is a slut, I don't really any complaints about "slut-shaming" there's no such thing lol. Plus it's always been a part of soaps, a soap staple, just like other things I will never understand people complaining about lol

Love Brady but in the real world he'd already have been fired ages ago.

Like Ben but his butting in to a very personal conversation and to people who were his customers was just weird.

I like GW a lot, I kinda hope though that he would do something more drastic, and the hair has got to change........ no more side parts lol :blulaugh: :blulaugh:

How many people has Brady slept with versus Theresa? Did Theresa sleep with Vargas? She didn't manage to sleep with JJ. So, including Brady and Vargas, she's slept with two people onscreen. In the past couple years, Brady has slept with Nicole, Kristen, Madison, Theresa and Arianna Sr. if you go back a ways.

Honestly, as long as you are a single adult, you can do what you like without shame, but the double standard applied by Victor and others is ridiculous.

The point is that Victor is a misogynst, and that matters a great deal. He always puts women in their place using their sexual behavior, but not men. And frankly, so does the show and so do a lot of women and men in real life. The truth is, slut shaming is ugly, old fashioned and stupid and is nearly always applied to women but not men. I've said it before, but if Victor can evolve to be Wilson's biggest shipper, then he can dial back his ugly, old-fashioned and outmoded ideas about sexual behavior.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Theresa slept with Vargas. He was arrested when he fought with that guy she was dancing with. Theresa was with Vargas to score some drugs, and nothing else. The only other guy she almost slept with was JJ, and she was completely wasted at that time. And I don't put a lot of stock on her Daniel obsession, since it was a direct result of her crazy Jennifer hatred.

I find the morality of drug addiction very interesting. A guy like Daniel who's cheated with married women, pursued young and impressionable girls and slept with patients is supposedly a moral character but someone like Theresa is completely immoral. And let's not forget Abigail who continues to be portrayed as the example of innocence. The girl stalked a married man and lied about their relationship, and then pursued and slept with an almost married man (in public places no less), who's engaged to her own cousins' mother. She bartered for sex in exchange for looking the other way about her cousin's disappearance, and she's aware of her ex-lover ordering a hit on the same cousin, yet she doesn't say anything. But we're supposed to believe she's very moral but Theresa is somehow a slut and irredeemable.

I feel that people hate Theresa because she has addictions issues. Being addicted is not a personality flaw or a weakness, it's an illness. Too bad Days writers are clueless about addiction.

In any case, I do understand that Theresa's character is poorly drawn. Flushing out her motivations and back story would help a great deal but still people are judging her mostly because of the addictions issue.

Brady is an adult who's struggled with Addiction before Theresa showed up, yet all his problems are blamed on Theresa. Every character takes a turn at calling her names, yells at her and accuses her of being a bad influence on Brady. It's just maddening. What happened to Brady's agency and personal responsibility? Why is Theresa responsible for his choices?

And Honeybees, I agree with you, even if Theresa has slept with other guys that doesn't make her a slut. She's single and she's free to do what she wants.

Victor is a disgusting old man who delights in shaming women. He's judging Theresa and Kimberly as though he has socially acceptable sexual mores.

I completely agree. It's disappointing that so many people still brush off slut-shaming and other misogynistic remarks as "whatever". Characters like Victor, who use this language and the only reaction he gets is a shocked expression from the women (they rarely get to to tell him off or defend themselves) are one of the reasons why people don't think it's a problem.

Well I just don't think it's any sort of a deal, he had to call her something lol :blulaugh: Plus, I kinda have to wonder about the double standards once again lol, isn't Victor usually liked here, I see him constantly being praised for his "snarkiness" but so when it's a word like slut, which really didn't mean anything different than him calling someone any other name in the book it's suddenly supposedly so bad lol? Sorry I can't help but laugh :blulaugh:

I know people getting 'put in their place' is a staple of soaps, but I like to see the person getting put in their place be allowed to fight back. Theresa should have been allowed to say, "I take it you weren't this old bag of bones when you slept with my grandmother?" I'm sick of him being allowed to trash talk women and just walk away. And I find it hard to believe that someone who talks as ugly about women the way Victor does, doesn't also talk just as ugly about minorities and gay people. I think it would be much more believable if we saw him on the phone with Donald Sterling offering an old friend his help than the Victor who is so pro gay.

And if Victor called a gay person an offensive word, I doubt people would be laughing or wondering why others felt offended. But when Victor calls women sluts, whores, ah, he doesn't mean any harm. He's just being good ol' Uncle Vic...

I absolutely agree with you. All these prejudices go together. When someone is a homophobe, they're also anti-women and racist as fuck. And it goes for women as well, the ones who are generally prejudiced because of race or sexual orientation are the same assholes who self-hate and support every anti-woman trope, policy or candidate.

I just hope someone would put that old misogonist asshole in his place but it will never happen.
