The problem is we have two "darlings" both with status and friends and great reels. The shocker will be if neither Tom or Davidson wins because they end up canceling each other out. That will be an interesting twist if it happens. This category will be the epitome of Must See TV.....online. ;)

In other news, as much as I'm dying for Eileen Davidson to get her long overdue Emmy, as it gets closer it is becoming clearer that Heather Tom is taking the trophy again. Disappointing to me.
I don't want to believe this (because I SO want to see ED win her Emmy for the role of Kristen)....but that damn bitch is probably going to 3-peat and win her 4th Emmy in a row...which IMO is Posted Image
I feel the same way. I've seen the support for Heather Tom growing over the last couple of weeks. It seemed like most of the soap press was backing Eileen Davidson to win for most of the process so they must be hearing something that makes them feel differently. Listened to the whole Daytime Confidential Podcast and the 5 of them all picked Heather Tom to win, while some were rooting for Eileen they still picked HT.
I dont' think Lutz & Carr (an independent accounting firm) wich has results will let this kind of info out. The soap press/bloggers have other ways of getting this info. Like talking to people who voted and getting a feel for who really impressed them. Of course that is just a sample size, but the change in support from ED to HT has been very noticeable lately.

I love ED, and I am hoping and praying on all my pinkies and fingers that she wins!! No one else in daytime has caused such a stir as her s/l did last year! She is the best at what she does in bringing Kristen to life! NO ONE ELSE COULD BE KRISTEN DIMERA! I have watched Y&R when she is on, and it appears to me, she enjoys playing Kristen more than Ashley. If the freakin' Daytime Emmy's weren't so political and actually realized what the majority of America already knows--THEY WOULD GIVE EILEEN THE STATUE! And DAYS should win for Best Drama...handsdown...no contest there!

If Eileen doesn't win her Emmy, it won't be the first time she was robbed. She's earned that Emmy and we know it, she knows it. Ill either jump up and down or groan but regardless, she earned it! i know. if i were there i'd totally pull a Kanye on HT.

OMG Kathy Griffin is going to have such a good time poking fun at the fact that they're streaming online.
Anyway, to what I was really quoting you about, I agree, this category has a lot of anticipation around it. I'd be okay if AZ won (though I'd feel terrible for ED), but idk about KKL.

It might be that they know more than us, but the voting system is quite difficult because voters give their votes for everyone prenominated - it wouldn't be very easy to draw conclusions from what they are saying now. You can even forget things lol.
Did this change happen when the reels were posted or later? I kinda missed those discussions.

Everyone was on Maura West, Eileen Davidson and Heather Tom. I would say ED had the most support. Nominations are announced and reels are released for viewing and its Heather Tom in a cakewalk.

Ah! That is so great! I am glad they were able to fit that in before ED leaves, very smart move from the brass...... I think she's there for EJ's funeral... I just hope Susan won't kill Kristen because she has something to do with EJ's death LOL. (nvm just being paranoid today).

I want Ari Zucker to win this Emmy, I think she deserves it more than Eileen Davidson. There, I said it. Not going to happen.

But seriously they should all have their voting rights revoked.

.........I'm speechless for once. All I can say is AJGDKLARITZBXAHQTIZ!!!!! That's "OMG Thank You Jesus, Buddah, Saints and ALL the Friends" in "fanboy"! It hit me when I learned she was returning for a new arc, "I bet they bring back Susan". Then when I heard James was leaving, "they have to bring back Susan". Lord, let it be, let it be! my thoughts exactly my friend! ;)

I wouldnt count Eileen out. I hope DOOL wins for Best Drama even if she doesnt win. Both episodes they submitted were heavily Eileen/Kristen focused so thats a win for her and the show/cast.

Yessss! This is awesome. The only reason that I didn't want Eileen Davidson to play Susan at all last time around was because I didn't want her to get burnt out and leave again. Knowing that she's already gone and was only around for 12 weeks anyway, I can fully back this move. I bet Susan Banks is home for Spoiler: click to toggle EJ's funeral and death. I just hope they get to share scenes before EJ dies, but not sure what would bring Susan back to Salem. I was kinda thinking that EJami would reunite after his "death" in London or wherever Susan lives now so that could still play out. or even better EJ could really fake his death and go stay with his mother while not letting Stefano or Sami know that he's alive. Has Elvis even mentioned Susan since returning to Salem?

Nominations are announced and reels are released for viewing and its Heather Tom in a cakewalk. But it doesn't really matter what the "buzz" is after the voting's already done. I mean, if the buzz was in favor of ED before the actual voting, isn't that a good sign for her? Even if the buzz went more to HT only after the reels were released, it doesn't matter, because the deed was already done.

Has Elvis even mentioned Susan since returning to Salem? EJ's mentioned Susan a few different times. Several years ago, EJ told Sami that he wanted to take Johnny to visit Susan and Edmund in England. And when EJ and Nicole dressed as Elvis & Priscilla for a Halloween party, Nicole took some pictures of their costumes and said that she'd send the pictures to Susan. Also, when Kristen first returned to Salem, EJ got angry at Kristen and said that she tried to rip him from his mother's arms. EJ's backstory has been changed several times, but I don't recall him ever saying anything harsh or negative about Susan. He seemed a bit embarrassed by Susan's obsession with Elvis, but I always got the impression that EJ had a soft spot in his heart for his Elvis lovin' mother.
I am super excited at the possibility of EJ and Susan appearing in a scene together! This has totally been at the top of my wish list ever since we learned that EJ Wells was actually EJ DiMera.
