They do it to Chrishell too, somehow. Days finally gets them out of the priest garb and scrubs and still finds a way to make them look like junk. In every other picture outside of the show, they look amaaazing. |

They tried to explain "shipping" to Monty Hall. Meanwhile someone who knew something tried to interrupt and tell the interviewers that Monty's wife is very ill but they kept bubbling on about shipping until they got interrupted several times. It was extremely disrespectful. I bet they had no idea who Monty Hall is. There was a racial comment that was done so cluelessly that they clearly didn't know that it was inappropriate. It was offensive. One of the gals said to an actress: I would totally turn lesbian for you. Are you sure on the hair? She cut bangs after leaving Days, but I think her hair is still long. There is a pic from a couple of days ago at the Emmy cocktail party that shows it down. |

Literally. That was nothing. Kristian had also just done the same thing. I didn't see any of their coverage and it sounds horrendous and shameful but them running through Kristian and Deidre was not a thing. |

Yes, I posted about that last night. It's our first best supporting actor win ever! FIRST TIME "DAYS" ACTORS HAVE WON THREE EMMYS ON THE SAME NIGHT...CHANDLER MASSEY THREE-PEATS AND BECOMES FIRST "DAYS" ACTOR TO WIN THREE DAYTIME EMMYS...ERIC MARTSOLF BECOMES THE FIRST-EVER "DAYS" ACTOR TO WIN IN THE SUPPORTING ACTOR CATEGORY...EILEEN DAVIDSON BECOMES JUST THE SECOND "DAYS" ACTRESS (ALONG WITH SUSAN FLANNERY, 1975) TO WIN IN THE LEAD ACTRESS CATEGORY Lead Actress winner Eileen Davidson (Kristen) Posted Image Acceptance Speech "I snagged it! First of all, I have to thank Heather [Tom] for sharing this year. I have so much affection and gratitude towards everybody at Days of Our Lives. Ken Corday and Greg, Lisa [de Cazotte] and Albert [Alarr], all the directors and the writers, of course, Gary Tomlin, Chris Whitesell. Thank you for letting me bring it, and then bring it again. To the crew, who has our hearts. My cast, Dee [Hall] and Drake [Hogestyn], [Eric] Martsolf, you're so much fun. I love you so much. For my sons, Duke, Vinny and Jesse, I adore you. And my husband, Vincent Van Patten, thank you for supporting me my love, in whatever I want to do and whatever I don't want to do and whatever I'm not sure I'm going to do. And thank you for being my partner in creating a life I've always dreamed about. Thank you." Supporting Actor winner Eric Martsolf (Brady) Posted Image Acceptance Speech "My wife said, write a speech, write a speech. I'm like, baby I don't need to write a speech. She's like, write a speech. I don't need to...It's got to be hard being right all the time, baby, you are right all the time. Days of Our Lives...it's been tremendously good to me. This past year, it's been like Christmas for me. I was given this beautiful, tragic storyline to portray...My co-star at the time was some girl named Eileen, you might know her, Davidson...She's really tall. She's very pretty and she's a veteran that doesn't act like a veteran. I love you for that, where are you? She brought out the best in me, thank you, you really did. You really helped me step my game up and I'm holding this trophy and I want to attribute some of that to you. I really do. That table right there, you stud muffins you...Ken Corday, Bruce [Evans], Joseph [Mascolo]...you're legends. You've created a legendary show and my affiliation with it. I'm very humbled by it every day, I don't take it for granted at all. Thank you for taking a boy from Passions and bringing him on to your show. That was brave and I appreciate it. Thank you to my agent, Ellis Talent Group, Marshak & Zachary for your guidance, you folks are beautiful. My Mom and my Dad, they had the guts, and I understand this as a father now, it's now easy to tell your kid to go out and pursue your dream. It would have been much easier for me to be a lawyer, but, screw that! I'm having a pretty good time. And lastly, my little circle at home: Chase and Mason, I hope you are watching me on you're Ipads, but I know you're not. I know you're playing Minecraft and that's cool, but we're going to watch this when I come home, because this is important. And there's a little vision of white sitting right there, that's my rock, that's my girl, thank you. I love you more than I can say. You've been with me from the beginning and you taught me that the grass is not greenest over there. It's greenest where you water it and I'm going to water it for you as long as I can. I love you. Soap community, thank you, the resurgence of soap operas. Here's to it. Thank you." Younger Actor winner Chandler Massey (Will) Posted Image Acceptance Speech "Wow, you see my reel? That was awesome. First of all I want to thank everyone at Days and NBC for this amazing, amazing ride. Four years, it was such an incredible experience. I'm so grateful for the opportunity. Also, I'd like to thank my Mom and my Dad, and my Mimi and Poppa, and Brian. My awesome manager, Scottie Beets...When I moved out here to go to college, I never thought...a soap opera was the last thing on my mind, but because of everyone on the show, the cast and the crew, I have absolutely no regrets at all. I love you guys so much. Thank you very much." Edited by Jason47, Jun 23 2014, 12:21 PM.

Perhaps "professionals" might have cost more. The casting call for the red carpet hosts said they were each paid $1,000. The Emmys were looking for social media "millenials" who had at least 300,000 followers. That was their requirement. I guess being a professional reporter or being someone who knew anything about daytime dramas was not required. |

Deidre and Kristian just happened to be there. They were sending them through to the ballroom and they were running late. It really was probably the least notable thing they did all evening. |

I guess. I think I was most annoyed that they didn't know who she was and just referred to her as "that person" while they were running by. |

You're right and I was wrong. CB's hairstyle at the Emmy ceremony June 22nd was not what I had thought. Her hair just *seems* short there. The hair stylist tweeted. But Camilla *did* cut it in April (but not in March as I had said). CB's hair is still long-ish ... but not exactly like it was ... --------------------------------- instagram timestamp: 18 April 2014 http://instagram.com/p/m8jwBgMqK3/ camilabanus Alright ladies and gents! It happened I cut my hair!!!!! It's a matter of getting used to it...I LOVE IT!! #newhair #loveit #ig #instagood #love Posted Image --------------------------------- At the Emmy nominee Reception -- Friday, June 19, 2014: Posted Image --------------------------------- Sunday, June 22, 2014: tweet from her hair stylist: https://twitter.com/beautybytk/status/480913719224827905 Posted Image --------------------------------- |

I honestly don't think that's the case. Any member of the professional soap press could have easily done 2000 times better than these morons, and most of them probably would have been willing to do it for less than that amount, if not for free. Like I mentioned upthread, the only time intelligent conversation came from anyone's lips on that red carpet was when Dan Kroll and Martha Madison were interviewed. MM and Lilly Melgar would have been a perfect fit for this show, as would have Dan. They're all knowledgeable, respected, and all of them have indicated they would have been willing. This was just an example of clueless producers making a grab at a demographic that couldn't care less about daytime television. I also forgot to mention that both Jen Lilley and Haley Pullos (who is underaged) had their breasts groped. And yes, Lawrence Saint-Victor was asked, "What's it like to be a black man on a soap opera these days?" Sadly, the awards show itself wasn't that bad once it got rolling, but it's going to be overshadowed by all this red carpet mess. |

If they wanted a millennial who was well-versed in social media then they could have hired me, haha. I don't have 300,000 followers but I'm an actual social media professional part time AND I would have done it for free just to breathe the same air as those people! Those airheads didn't deserve it! Why couldn't they have found millennials who were actual soap fans? I know there aren't that many of us but it wouldn't have been that difficult to find some competent hosts. |

If they were social media 'experts,' they should have at least asked fans on Twitter, Vine, etc. if they had any questions for a certain actor/actress prior to the RC. The best questions could have been sprinkled into the interviews when they encountered a specific actor/actress. I've seen some soap bloggers call for questions on Twitter every time they're prepping for an interview. |

I'm fairly certain that most of the soap media would have done what those idiot women did...for free. So it wasn't about money. They wanted to create a buzz, but these Vine and YouTube celebrities have no connection to the daytime community and I'm certain that there was zero carryover there. |
