Thanks! I had to laugh when that guy kept calling Kristen crazy and then called Ashley boring & ED tried to correct him both times.

And I hadn't thought about it but she's right her dress sorta did look like Jiffy Pop, lol.

Also I'm glad she can do some time at Days with this contract, but it doesn't sound like she'll get extended time off, unless they can work it, "she's at Days Mon/Tues, YR Weds/Thurs/Fri"?
Yeah I'm also glad she kept correcting them. Kristen is not crazy, and it's like she said the heart of gold is what matters the most underneath it all.

I LOVED her wedding dress, it was beautiful and HOT, just like the guy said!!! I know it was done in fun but I don't want it compared to Jiffy Pop!!! How awful! :D

Kristen>>>>>>>>Ashley
I absolutely agree. The only times when Ash was interesting (when I watched Y&R), was when she found out that Michael, Gloria & Kevin were related, and her scenes with Nikki, Victoria, Jack, Victor & Jill back in 2000-2002.

Kristen is definitely her most iconic role, no doubt there

I'm glad she'll be able to return for some brief episodes. Y&R will use her at first and then give her nothing after awhile. They always do.
This is exactly true, however, by the way she's been talking about it, that might just actually be more of what she wanted anyway.

including Deidre Hall lol. I can easily imagine Deidre being quite a diva, especially back in the 90's. Would love to hear some juicy behind the scenes stories from those days :P
LOL. I think she just said Deidre in particular because she had said her name earlier due to her being on the picture...

I know it's not productive at all to dwell in the past but I still think what "Days" could have done to have Eileen long-term.

1. No paycut (she could have had a similar workload she was used to while being on Y&R)

2. A "lighter" direction for the character. I get, why it is more difficult to play an evil character on a long-term basis, to (constantly) have all those fights, confrontations and "hate" scenes. And sometimes even receive hatred from some crazy fans. And everyone on this earth wants to be loved LOL.
I think, they tried to show Kristen as a complex character having not only a dark side of the character (vengeance, scheming, lying), but also her insecurities and her soft loving side. I, really, wish that they would have explored more the reasons for some of her actions. It was possible and would have been interesting (for me).

It sounds so easy. SIGH :( :( :(
Yeah, I have to say, I mean I get why she feels that Kristen is the type of character who has to "just keep on going and cannot sit around and drink coffee", but to be honest, they didn't need to write her that way. I mean, no scheming character schemes all year long. I mean, how could there be characters like Kate, Sami, Victor, Nicole, etc. if that were true. Those people sit down and have their coffees too at some point. They have to, otherwise it couldn't be possible to keep going. I mean, they could have just had her have the serene phase after the first blown up wedding.
   Exactly.

Speaking about the first blown up wedding, I'm pretty sure, they did Eric/Kristen immediately after the wedding because their intention was to do a WTD story. Otherwise the timing was really weird.

And I am SO glad she obviously had wanted the option to do a little Days here and there to be put into her contract. That means she isn't against to doing something small and that everything with Days has gone in a good way with her.
Or it's self-protection, so they can't fire her if Sony really wants her on DAYS again.

DAYS didn't have the money to pay her what she was making on Y&R for a similar workload. That's just the reality of working on DAYS.

I'm kind of surprised that she didn't negotiate harder, though. It seemed like she accepted their offer pretty quickly, maybe because like most people she needed to work. But Sony had already showed their hand about how much they wanted her at DAYS. She might have gotten a better deal if she had waited it out. (And she's had more job security than most actors, so I would have guessed she might be able to do that.)

Why? They (Y&R and Sony) still can do that. They always can. Sony just wouldn't need it if they want her on "Days" and she agrees.

Sorry, not "can't" but "won't." Of course they can fire actors whenever, but there's less likelihood of being let go over an issue, if there is an understanding about it beforehand.

Oh no, I don't agree. Phelps is not MAB. She won't pay money for nothing. I'm pretty sure, they'll write a lot of boring as hell dialogue for her to fill in the episodes. ;)

She obviously hates DAYS. LOL. Or at least her salary at DAYS. I can't believe she wrapped already...again!

UGH! DAYS is on RED ALERT! The only thing getting me through the last two months was Eileen!

To all haters about what I'm about to say...I'm sorry.

I'm glad Kristen's return won't be permanent, wasn't looking forward to it anyway and it's got nothing to do with ED or her performance. The writing of Kristen sucks huge big rocks, it was disgusting in this latest run of her. And the s/l with John and Marlena started off good and ended, disturbing. I say bigger and better is what this woman needs, hope she gets it.

I, personally, can't imagine hating someone's opinion even if mine is different :D .

Hey at least we got her back once for a stint that will hopefully win ED an emmy and maybe Days another emmy for writing or best show. The fact that we get her back for a second stint is just icing on the cake..I feel very lucky as a fan...

^ My face watching DAYS

I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED she has a "DAYS clause" in her Y&R contract. SONY must know that she is MORE useful to their bottom line at DAYS than she is at Y&R....SONY clearly has complete control here and NOT Y&R....Y&R is basically signing her to a contract that has been dictated to them and if they piss SONY off by not letting her do some DAYS stuff here and there...they could up and fire her again.

The tricky part is it is obvious ED see Y&R as her home and DAYS as this "fun thing to do" in between breaks from Y&R.

Well we could still see her on DAYS since she has that clause worked into her contract....so who knows...maybe she can do 1 episode a week at some point...that is better than nothing.

DAYS and Y&R studios are not that far apart.

Yeah she is basically on contract with SONY. YR can afford to pay her more, but she isn't going to be working much more than she did on DOOL for the summer arc. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring her back for another arc or two.
