Thanks for posting this Yoryla. Even accounting for the timeslot move on Thurs & Fri, it was not a pretty week for Days. Y&R has some major issues too. GH is the little engine that could...they just keep ticking up little by little.

Bad week for Days, I understand why the viewers lost interest. Watching Ericole and Dannifer break up was not entertaining at all for different reasons. And their successful (I think?) story involving Nick/Gabi/Will/Sonny was resolved with not much to look forward to. Also, do young viewers care about JJ and Paige? I doubt it. I hope the Sami/Kate reveal and Kassie DePaiva will help them recover. |

Both Sony's shows aren't doing well. Especially Y&R in the most important demos. I think, renewals for 3 (Y&R) and 2 ("Days")years give them some security, but maybe that's why they don't try harder. If not for GH you'd think soaps are in a bad place again. However, GH's case kinda proves that with compelling stories you can get the numbers grow. :cheer: GH! If GH gets Billy Miller, I hope their numbers go beyond B&B. |

I think, Logan is a credible source. BTW and Doug Davidson (as source :) ), too. Edited by thepadange, Jun 21 2014, 06:58 AM.

I remember reading that Nielsens will start including viewership via portable devices starting September. It's still unclear to what extent it will be made. I wonder, how this can/will affect numbers. Maybe it will mean better numbers for GH and Days? |

Another great week for GH..congrats to them!! Goes to show that if you write good stories, the fans will come! Days should take a page out of their book. |

They earned it. And if it helps Tomlin and Co. earn their well-deserved pink slips than I'm all for it. |

And NOW, if ever, with the fresh realization of the wonderful acting talent that they have, is the time to put it into it's proper use by starting to write GOOD, *compelling*, interesting storylines for the Days actors. They know they can *BRING IT* - as Eileen so aptly put it - now they just need to WRITE and take this seriously. They didn't win all these awards, including last year's Best Drama, for nothing. There's a reason why these awards were won, and why the show was so excellent in 2013. NOW, just do it, writers. If there EVER is the time to get this show running again, it's now. DAYS now has the ALL the buzz in the world, just take it as an inspiration and make it happen! |
