I was wondering about CM not being on the Days FB page aswell....

But then again, considering what a GUTTER that place is, he should consider himself lucky. If I could, I would have that site shut down.
yeah, that page is BAD. All I saw were posts about, "Sami should have won!" and people replying, "She wasn't even nominated!" Ugh...

* The ending. Maybe the show was scheduled to end at 9:48 p.m.? Either way, Kathy Griffin charged out while “Young and the Restless” executive producer Jill Farren Phelps was in the middle of her speech accepting the biggest award of the night, Outstanding Drama Series. As Phelps started to talk about pride in the ownership of the show, Griffin marched on stage with a microphone and told her it was time to go. “Oh, for Christ’s sake with your pride of ownerships,” she yelled. “Wrap it up, lady! If you thank your [expletive] dog…”

Phelps was NOT amused. She then started to thank her “[expletive] daughter,” but Griffin harassed her and someone started taking a selfie of the two of them and the music played and everything ended in chaos.

OMG :blulaugh: . Where is it from? (When I first read your post, I thought, Josh Griffith was on stage with a microphone  ). I was worried since yesterday if he was awarded or not.

It's from the TV Line interview, blueskies posted it upthread. It was just so hilarious!

IMO they did it only because they wanted to announce that she is returning to Y&R a couple of minutes later.

I am glad ED won her first Emmy for Kristen and not Ashley Abbot. I feel like ED hates DAYS. LOL. Maybe it was the pay cut. Maybe it was what Sony did to her. I don't know. I mean, she left DAYS to spend more time with her kids, then returns to Y&R like two months later. She obviously doesn't enjoy DAYS for whatever reason. But now that she won an Emmy for it, maybe when talks about DAYS, she won't so bitter or weird about it. Suck it, Eileen!! YOU WON! Bwahaha. <3

It must be the first Emmy ceremony in a while, in which B&B and GH were completely shut out.
GH will no doubt reverse that trend next year, but as for B&B, I wonder how Bradley Bell might react - keep on writing the same old Brooke/Ridge/Katie/Bill and Hope/Liam/Wyatt triangle SLs, or try something new?

Oh, and the gloating from Y&R is comical, to say the least!
Billy Miller is such a good actor that they made no effort to renew his contract, and the other person who had a big hand in the Delia death SL they have completely excised from Y&R history.
Hunter King - LOL is my reaction!

I don't think she has an issue with Days so much. I think Sony put her in a really bad position though. I think she just doesn't feel the need to work so much and when Sony bullied her into doing Days she got both a pay cut AND an increase in work. IMO, it seems like she likes Days and likes being Kristen, but as was the case even in the 90s, she doesn't want to work as much as Days wants to work her.

I think that's exactly it. Who wants to work more for less money? With Y&R, it sounds like she's being paid more money to kind of just drift. I'd be okay with that too! Lol.

Exactly, she is going to be paid more to be a supporting character. Which is why it will be easy for her to come to DOOL for arcs here and there.

This is exactly it...DAYS wants to use her and make her their lead star, but ED doesn't like that work load. I think she prefers Kristen, but prefers Y&Rs workload...the contract with Y&R earns her steady income and the DAYS clause allows her to jump into Kristen when she wants to or when DAYS needs her for big arcs...she clearly doesn't trust DAYS to not overwork her which is why she will not sign long term there.

I don't think she "hates" DAYS at all. I just think that moving to DAYS was something she wouldn't herself have suggested. The paycut is never nice, nor is being told you need to move. However, I don't think she would have said she "had the best year of her life, and the best material" if she hadn't have meant it. I think why she prefers to be on contract on Y&R is, of course the larger salary, but also the a little bit easier schedule, although from what I have heard, it really isn't that much easier on Y&R either, unless you have a lower workload, and also the character's demandingness. I think playing Ashley, who is not only a totally different type of character, but also, someone who she has been playing for over 20 years, would be a cake walk for her.

But she has said she will be back...she already has said the ending she got for this latest stint is a huge cliffhanger that is going to need to be resolved at some point.

I do think Eileen likes DAYS...I think she LOVES the character of Kristen (I mean the role just won her an Emmy...something Ashley/Y&R could not do for her over 25 years of playing her...and this is Y&R we are talking about...the Emmy making machine). You can tell from her reaction, she is over the moon about winning that thing and what started out as a very negative thing, turned into a great experience.

I think ED just wants to coast at Y&R and knows she can with a character like Ashley. Kristen is too much a a big character, it take a lot of effort and a lot of energy to keep that character the way she is and I think ED just doesn't want to phone that character in....and the fact that she has to do it for less money...I mean who wants to work HARDER for LESS money.

I totally understand why she signed a 2 year deal with Y&R....and I also understand why she specifically worked in an out clause for DAYS...she is essentially get the best of both worlds...she has a dream contract IMO.
