not bad for DOOL. They are actually up from last week and one of the two with a week increase besides B&B. Also their demos are good as well. Can't say the same for the other soaps from last week

Y&R is in a freefall in the demos damn. Guess its their turn for a SOD cover, "The plan to save Y&R."

Y&R will never get a three-year renewal again.

It's possible we could finally get a 2.0 or two on the next ratings with the Sami situation in full steam. I hope so anyway. I hate seeing 1.7. But overall, shit seems relatively stable for July. Hopefully they have a good game plan come fall.

June was imo the best Days month of 2014 so far. January was good after that too, but June takes the cake. And it looks like July might be even better.

I know there are only 4 soaps now, but I think this is the first time Y&R has ever been last outright in any demo in it's history.

I REALLY hope for some big changes for Y & R. Would love to see Edward Scott back as EP. He knows the show well. They need new writers in a huge way. There's been too much change on that soap, IMHO. Way too many newbies....and it's become the Jason....errrrr....Dylan show....not good, not good at all.

What they need is Ed Scott, Kay Alden and Jack F. Smith back. Those are the only people who really, truly know that show and what it's supposed to be about.

YR is just damn boring. Who wants to watch a cast of 70% newbies and every plot involving the boring do-gooder Dylan. The Winters are the only interesting family- that's a first.

I honestly doubt they or especially the staff at CBS Soaps in Depth would do that. They're so in denial about anything and everything, including their own contributions to the demise of soaps they have covered to a much lesser degree (hi, All My Children, Guiding Light, etc.)
