We no longer get Retro TV in my area so I hope someone puts these episodes up on youtube. If you get to see Nick and Althea you're going to be in for a treat. Loved Steve and Carolee too.

I loved The Doctors. Nick and Althea were my favorites. Now I have to see if I get Retro TV. I've honestly never heard of it.

Well, apparently I have Retroplex, but not Retro TV.

Im really excited about this and I would love to see them begin with early episodes and not just the last couple of years. This was one of my mom's favorites and I saw this from the very earliest shows. There was a rumor going around a few years ago that the Hallmark Channel had this soap but they never showed it. I loved Retro TV but we no longer get it either. Damn I wanna see this. Thanks for posting, Matt.

Apparently they're starting with 1967.

I used to get RetroTV but they've switched it in my area to the country channel Heartland.

This is an interview with a RetroTV excecutive. He said they're starting with 1967 because that's the first year The Doctors was in color.

Ha! Someone on twitter asked me what they'd start with 1967 and what was so important about 1967 and I actually said "Well, 1967 if the same year it went to color, that that makes sense to start there." lol

Good call, Matt! We didn't get a color tv until 1970 so I sometimes forget that soaps were in color in the 60s, lol.

1967 is also a perfect year to start because it's the year before Lydia Bruce started as Maggie (Bethel Leslie was still in the role), the year after Nick Bellini first appeared (putting us nearly at the beginning of the popular Nick/Althea story), & the same year that Steve Aldrich & Carolee Campbell first appeared, giving us what many regard as The Doctors' "Core 5" characters (Matt, Maggie, Althea, Steve, & Carolee). And Elizabeth Hubbard was still playing Althea in 1967 because she hadn't taken that year or so off (which happens in 1969, I believe) & was replaced by Virginia Vestoff.

So, despite their site saying I *do* have a RetroTV affiliate on my cable system, I went looking for it today & investigating and it turns out I DON'T.

Not. Happy. At. All.

There's an affiliate here but with no antenna on top of the house to catch over the air channels and the fact that we have Uverse and not the local cable company means we don't get it.

Comcast use to carry Retro TV, but have dropped the network...
When taking to rep it is unlikely Comcast will carry it again.
.it is not shown in Mn not even via antenna..

This soap is a real classic that should be aired on a more popular network that just about everyone has,so many ppl want to view this soap opera again and yet there are so many ppl complaining that there cable company does not carry the retro tv network.

I hope someone puts this up on youtube. I've never watched any soaps from that era, minus a handful of clips.

SO jealous! I figured out how to watch a live stream on line of the network, but that means I'd be forced to watch only live & I'm not sure what their air schedule will be & I really want to save the episodes (I'm hoping someone will make them available online). I could really see myself making tons and tons of notes on cast lists, airdates, & first appearances, etc.

I'm really bummed I don't have this channel but I have called the cable company and forced others to do the same (lol) so hopefully something will happen! Before they stop airing it ;)

I'm kind of excited about this.

I was only 11 when The Doctors went off the air and I vaguely remember just getting into it.

Well, at least not complaining about my grandma making me watch the NBC soap lineup with her everyday.

Does anyone know when they will start airing (or if they already did)?
