Well, these came early.
I was once again baffled by the headline saying "A Good Week for Y&R", when Y&R was bleeding yearly in several categories. Also, I would say clearly DAYS had the best week, or at least a good week overall. Yes, there is the "ties low" for the most important demo, but still. I do have to say I find it puzzling that the show is now apparently losing some of the more younger viewers, while gaining older ones. Apart from the advertisers, I actually don't think that's a bad thing. It shows that more long-term watchers may be interested and care about the show again. However, it could also just be that younger viewers aren't going to be inside watching a soap in the middle of a hot summer weather. In any case, a job well done for the show, especially during this time, when it's a warm summer weather. Those 2.0's and 1.9's look quite okay.
However, neither of the days of Thursday, nor Friday should have been counted. It's obvious when one looks at those numbers that Friday was strangely low on every soap due to the pre-emptions. A lot of people already had a chance to watch the episode on Thursday, either online or through some other avenue. Neither of the days should have been counted due to the mix-ups, imo.

||Good Week overall for DOOL. They are actually up over last year for the most part. Hopefully the return of Kristen will give them a boost as well.|

Me, too. But only to see which writers are still willing.

I think the pre emption hit GH the hardest. If I remember correctly all the other shows showed their Friday show on Friday while GH basically repeated its Thursday show, which had probably already been seen by most people. The early part of the week was stronger than it had been in a long time.
Hopefully this week will just be considered a wash.
I agree that Days had a strong week. Hopefully it will continue.

♥ RIP William Robert Horton ♥
First time in a long time that has happened. I still see this summer as not a bad summer ratings wise for them and Kristen returning will give them a boost through fall sweeps. I don't think we are getting rid of Tomsell anytime soon

I don't know about YR and BB but Days showed their Thursday show on Friday as well.
