Great job DOOL, the show is up over last week AND last year. Eileen Davidson/Kristen is truly a draw for this show. I expect the ratings to be stable or rise next week because this storyline is finally starting to get into gear. Ive enjoyed the show for the most part this week, especially the Kristen related scenes. |

Eric and Nicole were heavily featured this week, too, at the Vatican. I know they're the main reason that I tuned in, and it's safe to say that some were interested in that storyline as well. |

Sad that Eileen Davidson's return bailed out these lame ass writers. They can always use her as a draw to save their sorry asses. I'm sure they will credit Shawn Christian too. |

TomSell appear to have figured out exactly what to do with the least amount of quality to remain on the air. However, these aren't good, and the shows knows. There's no need to worry about it being attributed to Daniel or whatever. Days isn't even trying to spin these into press releases. The only thing praise worthy here is the consistency throughout the week. |

Im not trying to say that Tomlin and Whitsell are the best writers ever, but they brought us one of the best years the show had in 2013 in my opinion with the Will/Sonny/Nick/Gabi prison and baby storyline, Sami/Adrienne/Justin/EJ Bernardi storyline and Kristen's return (weddings and all). They also made Jennifer tolerable with the addition of Theresa and JJ. This year hasn't been as good but I am grateful that Eileen Davidson/Kristen was brought back under this regime. I'm not even sure any other writer would have made that effort and this is coming from a fans since 1994. Edited by ShaneDOOLFan, Aug 15 2014, 10:11 AM.

I don't really understand the desire to make everything about Kristen. I don't happen to think characters OR couples drive the ratings up or down, but even if I did, Kristen was only on twice that week and it was the two lowest days. |

Why NOT make it all about Kristen...she is wildly entertaining, perfectly acted by ED and brings the crazy. Its either that or more Mysteries of The show is STALE and at least Kristen is shaking things up. |

Well, that's not actually what I was referring to, but maybe because it's supposed to be an ensemble show and not everyone watches for that one character? However, I was referring to discussion about the ratings. For a week she was barely on and that while not awful also isn't good. I preferred Kristen in the 90s and haven't cared for anything TomSell have done with her but that's not really relevant. If the sun only rises and sets for Days if this one character is just merely in the credits, the show is in even more trouble than I want it to be in, lol. Judging by the actual numbers and comparisons, though, that doesn't seem to be the case. |

And also, in continuation, it shows great improvement that while Monday is usually always the most watched day, as it clearly is now with all of the other soaps, and after which things tumble down, DAYS was the only soap that didn't happen to. The numbers stayed consistent throughout the week. That means people wanted to keep tuning no matter what the weekday. |

As much as I love Eileen Davidson (and dislike her return so far), I don't want to see the show benefit from her ratings-wise in any way, shape, or form. Days is super boring right now, and I don't need TomSell thinking they're producing good soap. |

so you don't want the possibility of seeing Kristen/Eileen come back? I dont understand you all wanting bad ratings. I want the show to stay on the air past their 50th anniversary. Also, this regime is actually using most of the cast, including Deidre Hall (who was fired by a previous one). A lot of you want new writers, who is to say those writers are even willing to write for Marlena, Hope, John, etc. |

I'd like the show to last past its anniversary, too. However, I don't want to watch any of the shit TomSell tries to pass of as soap. I want new writers. So now, while the show is safe, I want it to crash so they'll have to find someone new before the anniversary and before it ends. And yeah. New writers might suck too. They might be worse though it's hard to imagine worse than this for me. But at least there will be a chance. With TomSell there's no chance of it being worth watching for me. I don't really care WHO they write for as long as they write quality. Yeah, I'd like for them to write something for some of those characters, but my viewership isn't hung up on that. If it's a good story, I don't care who the center of it is even if it's Daniel or his stupid big mouthed daughter. It wouldn't be my preference, but if it's written well, then okay. |

Hate the character of kristen. Have done so since she first made herself known in the nineties. Talk about an overexposed actress. Not only did they force feed kristen 5 days a week we got Susan and however many more character Reilly dreamed up for her. I find it hilarious people can complain a out AS being overused and overexposed when I still haven't recovered from the ED/kristen Blake hour I suffered through in the 90s. Ever again is too soon for me. Love ED as Ashley Abbott though |
