That because their stories have better continuity than the other soaps. They keep the stories moving rather than tell one and wait six months to a year to conclude the story.

I'm not surprised that the ratings are up. They rocketed when Phyllis shot into that church and all the truths came out. It's not the Shick show, it's the Young and the Restless again, all of them.
Other stories are getting cleared up and not leaving us high and dry stuck with the B grade stories.
Adam is making his story, Phyllis is rocking Jack's world, Kelly's story is on shaky ground, Maureen set the tempo for other things.

yes, I hate it when they focus on only 1-2 characters for weeks, this is much better, a little bit of everyone all the time.
