Just seems petty after how much time has passed.
It seems petty they haven't brought her back.

Stafford is gone, the writers and producers who were involved in her 2007 qui-firing are gone, why isn't she back when almost everyone wants it and agree she's probably the last "name" in the current climate who could still bring a ratings boost? Why? Because Peter Bergman spoke out against her and it might be awkward for him?

It's been 8 years that she's been practically Brenda Dicksoned by Y&R. The passage of time only highlights why she's seeking compensation.
Peter Bergman has managed to coexist all of these years after his physical altercation with Eric Braeden. There is no reason he can't coexist with VR.

I'm conflicted on this because I think VR has really hurt herself with all of her twitter tirades and what not. However, the show has never been the same to me since she left and I feel like it would be so much better with her back as Dru.

If she came back it would probably be worse on set than when MM was still there acting like he was the STAR of the show! She would drive other veteran actors out the door!

Michael Muhney was with the show for a hot minute. Not even close to the same league as Victoria Rowell.

Drusilla predates most of the remaining vets at this point and was a favourite of Bill Bell.

Bill Bell is gone. She's trouble and they know it. Having her back would be like having Patty or Sheila back. She isn't needed. Dru may be brought back but it won't be VR playing the part.

Maybe Peter Bergman did have something to do with it I don't know I do know though that Kristoff and
Crystal were definitely not in favor of her return. While Kristoff might agree with her on the diversity of
actors and behind the scenes crew members it has been wrote that he was against her coming back and
that's one of the reasons she wasn't hired back. I agree that no one can play Drucilla like Victoria but she
has had many years to file a suit against the show and network and she's just now doing it, sure this will
get her hired back in a New York minute.

So what if Stafford is gone? She wasn't the only cast member she had problems with. Remember Nikki had a multi colored clown's wig on and VR thought she was making fun of her? Then there was a tiff with Peter B.
She's a trouble maker just like Brenda D and just as nuts, imo.
She brenda dickensoned herself, and "everybody" doesn't want her back or she would be back..
She can't get work, that's why she's suing, and it's not because of Y&R, it's because of her own big mouth.

Really? She pre-dates most of the vets?
She pre-dates Nikki, Victor, Nick, Sharon, Jack, Jill, Esther, Lauren, Mikey, Ashley, Neil? Those are the vets that are left.
She was a favorite of BB's? Maybe, how come she didn't have these issues when he was still running the show?

KSJ has gone on record as saying he approached his bosses and asked them to rehire her.

And she predates several people in that list of vets.

The only persons she pre-dates on your list are: Sharon Case (Sharon) and Kristoff St. John (Neil). All the others were there before Ms. Rowell set her diva feet on the set. Ms. Rowell started working at Y&R in 1990.

Can you imagine the morale level if she is allowed to return to the set.
I think you are correct that she is a looney.
I would like to know how she is paying for those lawyers she hired. Because both CBS, and Sony have deep financial pockets and they will push for many continuances in the courts - hence the case will go on for years.

There's probably some truth on both sides. But I hate the way the Y&R seems to go out of their way to hire people of color for so many of the bit parts. I bet if they need a nurse to say a couple of lines to major characters they always seek of actors and actresses of color for those throw away parts. But when looking to cast someone like Avery's ex husband, Joe, I wonder how many actors of color did they look at for that role?

In a statement, CBS responded to Victoria Rowell’s (ex-Dru, Y&R) lawsuit claiming that Y&R refused to rehire her in retaliation for her speaking out about the lack of employment of African-Americans on daytime's top-rated drama, noting, “We were disappointed to learn that, after leaving the cast of The Young and the Restless on her own initiative, Ms. Rowell has attempted to rewrite that history through lawyers' letters and a lawsuit that has no merit. We harbor no ill will toward Ms. Rowell, but we will vigorously defend this case.”

Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla, Y&R) held a press conference in New York City this morning to address her lawsuit against CBS and Sony, in which she claims Y&R will not rehire her in retaliation for her speaking out about the lack of employment of African-Americans.

"This is a profound moment for me as an African American woman, who wishes to continue to live the American dream,” Rowell stated. "I always advocated for myself and was taught to do so after 18 years in foster care, and I advocate for others and was taught to do so. So, this is not about me, this is about myself and many, many African Americans who have been denied the right to perform in front and behind the camera, specifically on YOUNG AND RESTLESS.”

I would love to ask Ms. Rowell:
-*- Why did she quit the show when she needs to work at Y&R so badly?
-*- Isn't there any other projects that she could work with?
-*- Is Y&R the only show she feels she can do?
-*- Does she have a personal claim on Y&R that she needs to be party to?

When she answers those questions, and they are rational reasons, then I will think she has a valid point on being on the show.

Other than that she needs to go sit her ass down.

Isn't it a little late for her to sue? Shouldn't she have sued when she was fired? Just saying ...
I agree, but she wasn't fired. She QUIT!

Dru was one of my favorite characters. Rowell played her amazingly. BUT I never liked Rowell. In her interviews and appearances she always seemed off to me. I can see it only got worse with the years.

Maybe Y&R is racist in some way, but she will never prove that, because YR has had African American (and other races) employed on the show since Rowell left (on her own). So I really don't see where her case is in this..

She only looks desperate to me.

Yanno Victoria, I hate to tell you this, but if black people don't show up for a casting call, or there aren't any black people available for off camera work, then they can't get hired!
I don't know how it is now, but I bet it's the same. In the late 60's, all the off camera jobs you practically had to be born into it, your father or some relative had to be in the union to get you in. She should take her grievance up with the unions.
I hope those lawyers take her for every dime she has.

Kristoff and Crystal actually stated in print or in a video that they were against VR coming back to the show?

VR should take a poll of the cast and see who wants her to come back, then maybe she will shut up.
