HOLY COW, CHECK THE LINK FOR THE COMMENTS!! LOL http://soaptownusa.com/?p=10951#comment-14816 Here it is for your convenience to read, if you can get past the first couple of points. she listed 5 of them.. We are seeing the beautiful and bold birth of the new Forrester/Logan matriarch, a woman to be feared and adored. Brooke Logan will scrape the bottom of the barrel soon to rise up and take her rightful place. Say what you want about the scandals Brooke has had to go through in her quest to finally be married to the love of her life, Ridge Forrester. Yes, she’s made mistakes. Some big ones. There is no other character on TV daytime soaps though that is as hated and as loved as the same time as Brooke Logan. Last week we saw the beginning of a rebuilding of Brooke, one that will turn her into a formidable matriarch taking control of both the Logan and Forrester families like Stephanie Forrester wanted her to do, and I believe she will be even more powerful than Stephanie ever was. BrookeWhen Brooke marched into Rick’s office throwing the hammer down I was very proud of her. She wasn’t going to let anyone tear into her son even though she knew he had some difficulties. That included reminding Maya how she had hurt Rick as well. She sure knocked Ridge off his feet and out of the door, commanding respect from him. She was right, Ridge owed her for the past, owed her for all the neglect and abuse she took at his hands every time he went running back to Taylor because of Stephanie’s machinations. Everyone who’s watched the show since the beginning knows Brooke and Ridge were always meant to be together, joined at their souls. Still it was great watching her command him to leave the room then churning on Carolyn about how trashy it was for Caroline to be wanting Ridge. Brooke knows Ridge’s charm and she’s seen women come and go. She also admitted freely that it was partially her fault that her son and Ridge had been almost mortal enemies since Rick was born. You have to admire a woman who takes the blame like that despite the fact that Ridge himself holds a large part of that as he abandoned a young Rick over and over jumping to the beck and call of Stephanie to go back to Taylor. Ridge wanted to be with Brooke, Bridget and Rick but it was his mother who kept pulling him out, along with Taylor getting herself pregnant. Enough of the past though, people could debate the past for years and never change their minds. Brooke3Brooke is getting set up for a huge fall only to pick up the pieces and become even more powerful and stronger than Stephanie ever was and it’s because she doesn’t favor one child over the others like Stephanie always did. Ridge was the crown prince, the light of Stephanie’s life mainly because she knew from the beginning that Ridge wasn’t Eric’s, he was Massimo’s child, her first true love. She ignored all of Eric’s children as they were growing up. So Ridge’s arrogance and belief that he’s superior comes from that favoritism. Even Thorne saw it. Brooke doesn’t favor one child over another, she treats them all the same, loves them all. Her main problem now though is that she still thinks she needs a man in her life. I think this is where Bradley Bell is going to finally strip her of that need and build her into the powerful Forrester/Logan matriarch she was meant to be. Kelly Lang is going to rock this role and many of us are looking forward to it. Seeing Brooke scrape the bottom of the barrel because she can’t break up Ridge and Caroline or get Ridge to come back to her is going to kill her inside, a perfect clean slate to build a new Brooke. RidgeCarolineI’m sure many of us are completely sick of Ridge and Caroline anyway since very few people even like this new Ridge. Steffy was right on the money, her father looks like an idiot with the niece of the woman he married originally over thirty years ago. I was impressed that Steffy was calling her father out, even she sees how disgusting it is. Too bad she doesn’t see how awful she looks fighting for ‘her’ business and ‘her’ family when in fact Rick Forrester is a Forrester and technically there’s no Forrester blood in her veins at all. She may own part of Forrester Creations but that’s only because she practically whored herself out and tricked Bill Spencer. I’d say that’s fraud. Even she sees though that her father is making a laughing-stock out of the family by hitting on the young Caroline. I wanted to smack the taste of Caroline’s mouth anyway with her cocky attitude with both Rick and Brooke, she doesn’t seem to think that a few kisses was ultimate betrayal yet she has the nerve to try to bash both Rick and Brooke. Yes what Rick did was bad but Caroline stepped across the line of betrayal first and she continued behind Rick’s back to flirt with and ogle Ridge so she got what she deserved, Rick’s anger. As far as her trashing Brooke’s past, she knows nothing of Brooke’s real past. Brooke truly loved the men she was with and tried to move on many times, it was always Ridge who stopped her or interfered with her happiness. RickpissedI think Rick had every right to be angry at both Ridge and Caroline and every right as Eric Forrester’s natural son to run Forrester Creations. Rick did a great job at international, even Ridge said so and he’s hurt right now, the one woman he loved betrayed him with the one pretend brother he has always hated. I personally like Maya and Rick and I hope they make it. Maya is sincere in her love for Rick and only Rick. Just a few more points I want to make in keeping with Megs style and I thank her for letting a different view of the show finally come out. She tends to be very biased. Point 1, what a little dictator Liam has become! Wanting to take over Forrester Creations simply because his girlfriend was hurt and his cousin hurt? And he wants to run it with Steffy by his side? My eyes couldn’t stop rolling enough at this pint-sized puke of a man who couldn’t fully commit to any one woman wanting to run a large company. Liam has no more business running a fashion house than he does a day care. Point 2, Katie is stupid. I think everyone can agree with that. Bill and Brooke truly loved each other and their bond was powerful so why would Katie even want Bill back knowing he was just a few weeks ago still wanting Brooke? It’s not over between Brooke and Bill, I’m betting another round. Like I said, Katie is stupid. QuinnWyattPoint 3, Wyatt and Quinn. What use are they now that Hope is gone? I highly doubt Bradley Bell will recast Hope, Kimberly Matula rocked that role and Bradley has said there’s no plans to recast so neither Wyatt nor Quinn are needed right now. Maybe those two could go on a cruise together after Deacon remembers how much he does love and want Brooke and they end up back in bed together. I see it coming. Deacon can’t resist Brooke either. I’m not liking the character of Quinn, she serves no purpose and her fish-faced son is just added baggage without Hope, doesn’t even belong with Hope. His nasty attitude about Hope ‘not being’ a Forrester was uncalled for. Hope has been accepted by Eric, the patriarch, as part of the family so he needs to accept that and respect it. Point 4, Someone bottle up Liam and Ivy and use them for insomnia, they are boring boring boring. NO I do not want Steffy back with Liam but Liam/Ivy are snoozefests. SteffyPoint 5, a surprise to many, I actually liked seeing Steffy return and I wish she would return full-time. There has to be a spiteful, hateful mini-Stephanie for Brooke to battle and continue to put in her place. Steffy is too full of herself and thinks the world revolves around her, she hates Brooke and anything Logan. She forgets that Brooke saved the company from ruin several times with Brooke’s Bedroom, the Belief invention, the Mens’s line, etc. She also forgets that her mother could never fill her father’s heart, there was always Brooke there. Again I thank Megs for allowing a different opinion. I think Brooke haters are in for a shock because Bell is going to reinvent and re-establish Brooke. He’s going to take her completely to the bottom of the barrel and then build her up into one of the most powerful and amazing women on daytime TV, fiercely protective of her family and even stronger than Stephanie ever was, fighting for her family’s rights at Forrester Creations. Thank you Ginny |
