This is good news. We should have probably seen it coming since this is the network that's also producing Queens of Drama. I wouldn't call last year's show "a debacle", though. The red carpet was a debacle, but the award show itself was nice for a change. |

I LOVED the actual award show. The return of clips were very welcome. However, that red carpet was indeed embarrassing... |

Have AT&T's Uverse here in the US and we didn't get the TVGuide channel (no BB After Dark after it moved networks) and even after renaming itself we still don't get the channel. I hope someone streams it online or they do it themselves for people who don't get Pop for multiple reasons. |

They have a channel finder at the bottom of their website. The local cable company here Cable One carries the channel but that's not who we have service with. http://poptv.com/ |

Last year show was an tsunami of pure :bs: Interesting since this channel broadcast both Y&R/B&B in the evening in some states. |

I sometimes don't get why is online streaming so underrated ( saying "back from the death") and why is it such a big privilege to be on TV ? It's not that only 1/10 of the viewers or so have Internet connection. It's a wide audience, wider than cable networks have and it's easily accesible. I often wonder, why advertisers don't value online streaming, why is it somehow unworthy of their money? It's like we still live like 30-50 years ago. I'm, personally, not sure if I need my TV because I watch more TV online than on my TV. And if you want to watch on a bigger screen you can attach your laptop to your TV screen. Not a big problem. |

I think it has to do with the fact that all major award shows are on TV, so not being on TV kind of made the Daytime Emmys look like lesser awards in comparison. In general, while people do use the Internet more and more for binge watching shows and what not, only web series streamed on Netflix and Amazon can be considered as big as primetime shows. Others are barely recognized anywhere. And established primetime actors don't want to be on a web series unless ut is produced by Amazon or Netflix. As for advertisers, I don't know why they think online streaming is unworthy of their money. Maybe because they know people watch shows online precisely to avoid commercials? |

POP is owned by Viacom, which makes it partners/owned by CBS/Viacom. So I expect maybe The Talk ladies to host or someone from CBS. I already expected CBS to clean up at the awards this year anyway, but this shouldn't hurt. |

UPDATE FOR CANADIANS: I got an email from one of the publicists for POP network and NATAS is currently working to secure broadcasting rights with a Canadian network so that Canadians will be able to watch the awards this year. Edited by Mitchapalooza, Mar 3 2015, 05:37 PM.

I agree - the actual awards portion was the best EASILY in 5-7 years....the red carpet was an absolute tacky as all fuck horror show. THAT was a tsunami of pure BS...the awards itself were not. |

Wish we knew if it was going to air or not in Canada...they still have not announced a Canadian network partner. |
