I'm glad that Days rebound from last week.
They are still too low in the key demos but in total viewers it's acceptable.

What is happening to GH? Is the show that bad/boring right now? Ron Carlivati might get the boot.

I know the "Fluke" story is supposed to be GH's big story right now, but I think it has been dragged out too long, and fans are getting weary of the whole thing. Still...in my book, GH is a damn sight better than Days right now and has been for some time.

Yeah, I haven't seen anyone who's still enjoying the Fluke story. GH has an issue where the writers keep trying to breathe life into a dying story by adding more and more (and More!) characters and it's just not working. I don't think RC will be let go, though. They only film a few weeks in advance, so they're not locked in to a bad situation with no way out, like Days is.

Sonny and Jason/Jake have swallowed the show again, too.

Oh GH, too many drawn out, stupid story lines going on and on and on ... etc. The Fluke crap should have ended months ago and the Jason/Jake idiocy goes on and on with no end in sight. I know I've personally lost patience and rarely tune in for an entire episode anymore. Looks like many others feel the same way.

I will say that Im looking forward to the Fluke s/l coming to an end. One thing that GH does well, is conclusions. The Ben reveal and Hallowedding come to mind. So next week should be good. I agree about Jake/Jason dragging too long, but I think they are trying to please all the fan bases for Liz/Carly and Sam before the reveal and for Billy Miller to establish himself in the role. I agree that the writers are safe. They are still ahead of last year in total viewers and except for 25-54 the demos are the least off from last year, than the other soaps.

GH's problems are easy to fix and like already mentioned their tape schedule is ideal. I think Carlivati is going to be stubborn and drag this Fluke story out even longer just because that's what he originally intended. I doubt he would want to insult Geary by wrapping it up either. The anniversary episode seems to be a turning point in the story, hopefully it takes a totally new direction. Its really bad.

The Jake/Jason crap sucks because they just have Billy Miller being SO BLAND. There's no Billy Miller charm in this role at all. I do like the Rebecca Buding character and the angle with that and Ric, but I hate Carly's involvement. For me the big problems with the show are Sonny, Carly, Jason and Luke. Bob Guza? Is that you?

As for Days, that looks like a pretty normal trend for the week aside from that weird Tuesday. I wonder if something was going on to cause such a dip. The show is pretty consistently bad so I doubt it had anything to do with what was actually airing.

Ron has said that the anniversary episode will wrap up the story. Yes Valerie will stay, but Tony will leave on his 6 month hiatus afterward.

I've been enjoying the lighter side of Sonny hanging out at the gym. Him and Spinelli were hilarious last week. Plus Carly going at Hayden was so Carly. Let Hayden know that this isn't going to be easy, because Liz wouldn't do it.

As far as Billy not bring Billy, I think something has to be held back until Jason gets his memories back. I think he's doing a great job. He's himself, but not having memories makes him hold back from being completely himself. I've enjoyed his performance.

Lately, I think there's been a decent mix. Main characters are seen twice a week. I for one could use more Brad/Lucas and less Kiki/Morgan, but that's me.

I've been FF ing Sonny and the whole Fluke stuff. I'm so tired of both. GH almost feels like it's on a holding pattern and it will amp up for May Sweeps. I'm growing tired of the show and that's rather rare for that to happen for me.

Did you read this in an article, and if so, where? I'd like to read it.

I don't think that's accurate anyway. They just find out what caused his split on April 1st. I've heard that they are going to deal with the fallout and decide where they need to go with this to help Luke. I'm assuming they'll have to talk about getting him help. Geary will leave for the summer because that's always a part of his contract but I don't see that happening onscreen for a couple of months.

I read it in the article from SOD the was posted in General Hospital Happenings. It's towards the bottom in white.

Of course there will be fallout. A big story like this has to and it leads to something else. In this case the addition of Valerie. The important thing is Luke comes to a realization and they get him help. Therefore, the Fluke part is done. No more Luke running amok and you're right Tony will leave on his break, but I doubt that when he returns we will pick up with him still trying to off his family.

Oh for sure. Reading your first post I thought you meant it was just being dropped. What I've heard is pretty much consistent with what you're saying. I think we will slowly see Fluke fade though. I don't think the reveal is going to just erase Fluke. I doubt we will ever see him terrorizing the world again.

Spoilers have them talking about what to do about Luke the next day, so I don't think it will be months. They have the Hayden stuff now, so that will probably take the place of Luke's story. Plus, Ava is running out of time, Morgan/Kiki's plan against Michael, Maxie's decision and the mob stuff. They're also working on the Nurse's Ball. The lead in to that usually shows where things will go for the summer. Which won't be Fluke, so Im pretty sure, that except for Valerie, Lulu, Bobbie and Tracy deciding what to do without him, that will be it.

My guess is Jake working for Julian and his memories, will be the next lead story.

I imagine they keep Ron because he's probably cheap. He and Frank will probably be there to the end.

GH is a mess and has been for an eternity. It's at the point now where viewers likely can't stomach it as much, because of material like that snail trail Spinelli sputtering about how he will fight for his Miramax, and the truly disgusting storyline where viewers are invited to cheer for Morgan and Kukla drugging Michael and potentially killing him so that they can give Avery back to Sonny.

I'm also not sure how much viewer interest there is in Billy Miller looking bored as various women talk and think about him nonstop and act like "Jake" beamed down on a cloud to save them from their sins. It's essentially the same old Steve Burton Special, made even worse because at least Burton actually had chemistry with some of these ladies.
