WOW....That's bad for Days, real bad. Demos are awful, and we are tied with a horrible record low in overall viewers. They waited way too long to rid themselves of TomSell, and now we are stuck with that material until the end of summer.

I hope there is some master plan to save this show that will actually work this time. I mean, this looks rough, and at a 1.6 there is no way to ensure that this show can actually pick up steam. How can you turn it around when 2 million people are all that's left watching this drivel. I'm sure SN & PR will save the show from record lows for a while, but can we ever get a 2.3 again.....I would never say never, but I'm also not holding my breath.

This is cancellation territory. I'm not trying to be negative, but damn. Maybe their is some logical explanation I'm overlooking....

BTW: Thanks for posting Nate!

It so reflects on screen that TomSell didn't have a plan for days after Sweeney and Scott left the show. Days has been rubbish and it's so sad. Days fans rebel so hard when the writing is bad and I just hope the new writers and planning something smart to save days to make it past 2016...

Poor Days. I'm a lapsed viewer who's been checking back in (um, on the site not the show) lately to see what's coming up for the 50th. Strangely, I was more pulled into what GH did for theirs, and I'd never really followed them.

Whoa! These numbers are awful, but really not a surprise. The show is terrible...it's not just the stories and characters, although that's the main issue...it's the lighting, the sets, the wardrobe...all of it sucks bigtime. Another 5 more months of this shit makes it all the more depressing.

It's not surprising that they're doing this poorly, but it is surprising that they don't appear to be taking any steps to get people excited about the next few months. There's been no publicity from the show at all.

NBC isn't exactly doing its job, either. I can't even remember the last time I saw a DAYS promo on the network.

I saw a Days promo last Saturday night on NBC. I don't know if they regularly run the promo during prime time thought.

With 5 months lead time someone on staff should be looking at the shows before they are even edited and realising they are this bad and do something about it before it gets to air.

I LOVE you avatar, Mitch. That was the best moment on this show from the last ten years, bar none.

Did I see right that B&B climbed in the ratings?
I guess Brad Bell's transgender storyline has gained him some audience.

With 5 months lead time someone should be able to make some kick-ass promotional material.

That said, isn't Days usually the first show to hit bottom, then the others drift downwards a few months to a year later? Maybe it's just the genre's pattern, not the specific show is my point.

The gay love triangle is the only storyline that has been on fire on Days since the beginning of the year. I think part of the audience loves it but clearly it's not everyone's cup of tea. The show needs more focus and better stories for its strong female leads IMO.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

The fact that they aren't promoting the 50th already has me worried...it's like they don't care...

Not surprised at all. DAYS took way too long to acknowledge what wasn't working and to change course. And there being 5 more months of this crap to endure before new material starts to air doesn't give lapsed viewers any incentive to tune in before then.

I dunno.. I think it's a bit too early to start promoting the anniversary since the stories leading to the anniversary will start only around the writers change / August. If they start promoting too early, people can easily lose their interest because the promised things are waiting so far away in the future.

Besides, if those lapsed viewers thought they'd need to catch up and they'd tune in to see the crap that's airing now.. They'd be scared off for good lol.
