Well. They were consistent. Hard to believe this is actually somewhat of a rebound. DAYS Monday: 1.77/2,288,000 Tuesday: 1.79/2,298,000 Wednesday: 1.78/2,379,000 Thursday: 1.74/2,360,000 Friday: 1.73/2,256,000 |

The bleeding stopped. And they're up across the board. I guess that's a good start. The show isn't anything to brag about but the stories are totally shifting so it might be more intriguing to check out right now. Once they settle in and it's obvious that this set of stories suck too then they will probably drop again. |

DAYS needed to have an increase this week....this is still not good enough for a renewal, but it is certainly better. Hopefully as story continues to improve as we move closer to HigGriff stuff, ratings will continue to at LEAST be more stable. |

The only story somewhat worth watching that week was Kristen/Marlena/Brady/Theresa. Not sure about the next week. Maybe Stefano kidnapping Marlena helps 5/11-5/15. |

Not sure how they pulled it off, but so glad to see the ratings improve. They dropped the ball with the baby reveal--they could have made that so much more interesting. |

I wonder if the show got a bounce in viewers from tying for Best Drama? Curiosity factor? |

I didn't think the Thrady/Kristen stuff was the only stuff worth watching. There was Chad and Abigail too last week which was good as well as the Adrienne/Lucas/Justin story. Glad to see the show at least gained some viewers from the previous week. Edited by Restless84, May 8 2015, 08:26 PM.

Still a bad week for Days but at least no new low.
I hope the new regime can get those female viewers back to the show. It won't be easy but I think it's possible. But if they hit new lows every other week for the next 3 months, I'm afraid it won't be. |

Oh, I actually enjoy Lucas/Adrienne a lot. I just don't remember any culmination points in their story that week. Btw, even though I was (only) interested in the "Italy story", I think it was poor written and far away from being really good. Edited by thepadange, May 9 2015, 06:30 PM.

I see Days Of Our Lives the next soap opera to be cancel because of the ratings than I think General Hospital than Young and Restless will be next in the future |

I feel like it's very important for the genre to keep these 4 shows that air on 3 different networks as long as possible. It would be a joke to have Daytime Emmys which just 3 shows from 2 networks competing. That might buy Days some time. |

I really hope for Days to be renewed. But Emmys would be NBC's last concern in their decision making process IMO. |

Y&R and B&B will obviously be the last soaps standing. They won't cancel one without the other. Its a perfect 2 hour block of soaps. Days and GH are battling to be the last non-CBS soap standing. I think GH is in a better situation than Days at this point because I believe ABC regrets ditching OLTL (and AMC to some extent but mostly OLTL.) Nathan Varni has been on Twitter asking fans if they watched the Prospect Park versions and saying that the shows are still tied up in court. I doubt they'll ever be back, I think that ship has sailed but I do think ABC learned a lesson there. NBC just seemingly doesn't give a shit about their daytime lineup. |

One thing definitely in soap's favor is the networks have yet to find a viable alternative to soaps. ABC learned this the hard way with The Revolution and other shows that never took off. Until they find something else that's proven to bring in decent ratings I think all the soaps are pretty safe. |
