So Steve was expected for Thanksgiving dinner at the pub with the Bradys but ... he didn't even make a phonecall with Adrienne? Srsly?
I guess Adrienne's storyline is playing out off-screen and all the calls and meetings are happening off-screen as well.

Later, a worried Steve confides in Kayla.

This wasn't seen either, just implied.

It is funny to me that they are having such a problem with airtime and cut scenes, and that it's obvious from the recaps even six months after taping. I wonder when they actually get around to editing a final cut the show and noticing it's long. Hopefully they've been able to fix this.

I have a question. Has Brady ever acknowledged Bo as his uncle? I know he considers himself to be Shawn Sr.'s son but I was just wondering. I thought Isabella and Bo were pretty close and John and Bo are close. So why hasn't this been seen in the past? I know it won't be brought up now that Bo is dead and Hope is losing it, but I was wondering about it.
I'm a little to this but wanted to chime in. I remember when Nicole found Brady drunk in the summer of 2011 she called Bo because she wanted his help because not only was he a cop but he was Brady's uncle. That was one of the few times I saw it really acknowleged.

Not sure where to put this out the NBC recap for Wednesday said Fynn flirted with Nicole at dinner and Daniel told him they were engaged. It also said Justin and Eve made love. The Daniel stuff must have been cut and we saw Justin and Eve on the couch but I didn't think they indicated they made love.

Those recaps are off compared to what aired sometimes.
It's a bit odd how much has been cut since the new regime. You would think they know to stick to 37 pages of script at this point. There must have been a Nicole/Fynn/Daniel scene cut because none of them spoke a single word! (Except Fynn meeting Eve)

I wonder if Monday will pick up on Thanksgiving Day still and we'll see some of this stuff play out.
I think it continues since Belle fills John and Marlena in.

The cutting annoys me, especially since we keep finding out about it lol

Oh that makes sense. Since they never even really talked at Thanksgiving I guess they did and it was cut.

With Days' budget I'm surprised they're cutting one scene, never mind several. Why even? I don't get why they'd tape scenes that apparently can't fit into the episode. I find it so confusing.

Also, since they're playing the cut scenes as having happened off screen (and not scrapped story-wise) why don't they just upload those onto their NBC site? I'm sure many fans would appreciate that.

It's a good idea but it will probably cost them even more money.

Bold and the Beautiful does this, daily. It's planned.
They film about 20 minutes of the show, but they air only about 18 minutes of it.
They call the extra part a "bonus scene" and
they post that extra scene on the cbs.com B&B website and on the CBS youtube account.
Every single weekday.

In fact. B&B posts *two* clips online every day. One is a short scene from what aired and the other is the "bonus scene". On both cbs.com and on youtube.

This is in addition to posting the full episode daily on cbs.com.

I can't imagine that uploading a clip to a site they own would cost much. But if it does then they can go to youtube like nanana7 explained B&B does. It's really a waste of footage.

Who started the rumor that John was Dickie Martin?

Who started the rumor that John was Dickie Martin?
He had all those flashbacks the same day Julie told the Martin mansion story and a few people (Matt definitely) thought it could be a sign he's a Martin.

The best party of that being true is maybe John and Marlena could move into the Martin mansion lol

I do sort of love the idea of tying them into a legacy family.

I wonder if they tape extra scenes & know that some are going to be cut, then choose which ones to cut based on what viewers want to see on-air, given the 5 (or are they up to 6 now?) month tape-to-air time. NOT that I'm bashing, but they know Chad & Abby are a hot commodity right now - giving them extra scenes & cutting some others would help ratings & generate buzz about the show. JMO.

I don't think it would cost much but it's still an investment even if it's only someone's time.

But maybe they just didn't come across the idea?

Someone should tweet it to Greg Meng.

I wouldn't mind it either. It would link him to Julie because her MARTIN son would be his half-brother. He would also have a half-sister through Susan.

Think they can get Denise Alexander back? I would like to see her and Julie feud since I wasn't born until 30 years after it all started. They were best friends, Susan got pregnant, they got married, Dickie died in a freak accident and Susan murdered David.

Though I think Susan might have ANOTHER nervous breakdown once she realized she murdered her husband for no reason.

It seems they are removing almost all TomSell creations/recreations
(characters and relationships).

TomSell people removed:
creations: Aiden, Serena, Xander, Paige, JJ/Paige's friends, and Clyde.
relationships: WilSon, Dicole, Ericole.
recreations: KDP-Eve and GV-Eric.

(Unsure of the status of Ben, if he's gone or on recurring.)

TomSell people being kept:
creations: Paul Narita, Anne Milbauer.
relationship: Thrady.
recreations: JenLilley-JeannieTheresa, CMoss-JJ, BF-Chad.

I applaud keeping Paul.
I applaud keeping Billy Flynn's Chad.
I'm neutral about keeping Anne.
I applaud ending Dicole.

I think CMo's JJ has potential, but I'm not that impressed yet.

I'm very angry about ending WilSon.
I know Freddie chose to leave; but they could have kept Will -- or sent Will off canvas -- and brought back both characters (with whatever actors) later on.
Instead, they killed off Will, so that we won't get WilSon again.

I'm very angry about ending Ericole and GV leaving. Theoretically the character of Eric could return someday, so theoretically we could have Ericole *someday* I suppose.
But it seems the current writers have removed Ericole.

I would have preferred that Paige be sent to Stanford and then recast later on.

I would have preferred that Theresa be sent off-canvas and rested, and then brought back when they can give her a believable/consistent backstory/character. I don't mind the actress, but I dislike all the writing for the character under both regimes. The insta-redemption is *not* working for me.

I like KDP as an actress, but I'm neutral about her as Eve. I think KDP should have been cast in a different role, although she did a great job with the material she was given.

I like the actor James Read but loathed Clyde, so glad that character is gone.

I'll be glad whenever/if Ben is gone.

I have a couple of more recent Bo and Hope history questions (well, recent to me, since I mainly know more ancient Days history) if anyone is game:

- When did Bo and Hope buy their house and how did that come about?
- Did they (or just Bo, when Hope was "dead") live on their boat throughout the 90s?
- When did Hope go back to being a police officer (after returning from the dead)?

I'm also curious about how Hope went from being taken by Ernesto Toscano to Stefano during her missing years, but I'll let that one lie because I don't think I really want to learn any more that I've already heard about that awful Princess Gina stuff ...

Thanks for the help, Days historians! :)

1. In 2000 when Hope was pregnant with Zack.

2. Bo lived on it until it was set on fire in early 1997. On Christmas 1998 Bo and Shawn-D suprised Hope with their new boat "Fancy Face 2".

3. In 1995. Hope and Bo investigated a club called Blue Moon (owned by Peter Blake) and it's manager Jude St. Clair. She was suspended from the force in spring 1996.
