It would be awful for Susan and for John, and it could lead to great scenes for the actors. The angle with David's death is one of the best parts of the theory because of the impact it would have on John/Susan.
True but some part of me wants David alive so I can see a love square with David/Susan/Julie/Doug. Susan and Julie still hate each other because Susan "stole" David from Julie right? And they both went after Scott Banning.

I see. There's no way I could buy Doug and Julie being interested in anyone except each other, after all this time, though. Even if David were still alive.

Hoping this is the right choice of thread for this...what is with the writing for Victor and Justin? The OTT bitchy-dick personas, they both have going on, are annoying to say the least. I get WK is exiting, but why write him out of the picture as if his character is an asshole, I never saw him that way? Victor's usually curmudgeonly for sure, but not sure where they're going with his current OTT attitude at all!

Victor has been written this way for awhile now, and I don't get it either. I'm personally really tired of his misogyny. It's not funny or entertaining in the slightest for me.

Justin didn't become full-on dick-ish until they made him the DA, IMO. And I don't know if WK/the directors are telling him to play it that way because of his powerful position now or what it is. It's super annoying, although I do think they've toned it down a bit since this fall. He was unbearable in those scenes when they arrested Chad.

I was noticing the name of the strange disease that Caroline has now -- instead of it being Alzheimers.

"Topits Disease"

Mentioned in scripts of four episodes:
Wed Nov 11, 2015
Mon Dec 14, 2015
Tues Feb 9, 2016
Thurs Feb 26, 2016

I googled "topits" to see if it's an actual disease.

I found that the Days writers assistant is named Tyler Topits.
http://www.jason47.com/days/stafflist.html

and THEN ... I remembered ....

When Will wrote that article for Sonix Magazine in which Paul came out -- and the name of the article was "The Final Out".
There was a paragraph in Will's article:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/days-of-our-lives-forum-spoiler-page/the-final-out-by-william-horton/904565606241327/
Of course, everyone knows Narita did more than just "throw a ball around." He threw it with such speed and precision, it made even the best hitters break out in a nervous sweat as they walked up to the plate. LA Dodgers right fielder Tyler Topits once swore the only pitcher in the league he actually dreaded facing was Narita. He even had nightmares about it.

I remember that -- back then -- we had discussed how "Tyler Topits" was the Days writing staff/assistant, and that his twitter profile says that he's an LA Dodgers fan. [His twitter profile says he is Days "script coordinator" but that probably was never updated.]

---------------------------------------------

So that's two times that Tyler Topits' name has been used --
First in the Sonix article about Paul coming out (it wasn't mentioned by name in the episode, but NBC had the article online that you could read).
And secondly as Caroline's mystery disease -- which ties into the storyline about the serum.

------------------------------------------

Also -- I found this:

The word "topit" (in the singular):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topit
A Topit is a utility device used by magicians to dispose of objects secretly.
Topits were employed by pickpockets and thieves during the 19th century. This primitive form of the topit was called the "Poacher's Pouch". The art of Topit has developed, like some other forms of magic, in symbiotic relationship between magicians and grifters, both considered sleight of hand artists.

That's sort of an interesting coincidence ... in that Caroline's' new disease is an example of the writing team using a magic/trickery device in order to undo Caroline's Alzheimers.
