I have to admit that while giving up DAYS isn't going to be that difficult, giving up this board is nigh impossible.

I just wish the writing would improve and I liked the show so I didn't want to stop watching. I guess I'll keep up with it through this board though.

Christopher Sean tweeted earlier that he promises that his story is going to get good, that great news is coming.

So I'm guessing he's going to get his own stuff again, we just need to be a little bit more patient.

I wonder if Chandler Massey has to do with this one! ....If he is a new character, we may see Paul in a relationship soon!

The only thing this writing regime seems to be getting right is pushing John and Marlena back together. Everything else pretty much sucks. Chabby started out promising. . . Sucks. Billy and Kate's acting is pretty good though. Eric killing Dan drunk who the fuck. It's Eric freaking Brady he should get medals for 2 different things 1 is surviving being in the womb with Sami and 2 Killing saint Jonas hell for that he deserves a medal and a ticker tape parade. Drunk though Eric never struck me as the wallow in self pity cry in my beer type why couldn't they just let him leave town and not offer him up for a sacrifice for Dan worshipers. Greg's killing it though. Brady and Theresa I will not use the adjectives to describe how bad this pairing is Virgin eyes may get a shock, storyline and actors suck. Steve and Kayla so much potential. . . Sucks.

I think the look of the show and the style of writing improved with the transition from Tomsell to Higgriff, but the stories that appeal to me personally did not improve. I didn't get drawn in by the SK story or the Bo/Steve rescue story. None of it appeals to me and the stories they are doing now don't appeal to me. I actually liked the show better under Tomsell. It's a minority opinion, but it's still my opinion. What I liked about the new writing was the restoration of John and Marlena and Steve and Kayla, but that is the only bright spot. I just wish that Tomsell would have had the reverence for the old Supercouples because then they might still be around to write stories I actually care about. I'd rather have the writing of 2013-2014. I'm still just trying to accept that the DAYS that everyone wants right now is not the DAYS that I want. I'd rather just relive the Tomsell era on youtube than watch the show they are currently putting out.

But after the initial reunion, they didn't do much with Jarlena. I don't think the writing for them is that good, John has a little side story that progresses very slowly, they seem very isolated from the other characters. Of course, that's much better writing for Jarlena than what we had with TomSell.

I thought they were pretty good, not perfect but they got the fans excited about the show again. It was high-stakes, a lot of characters were involved. But as soon as those stories ended in December, the show took a turn for the worse. Some scenes after the car crash were good, thanks to the actors rather than the writing. But other than that, Days has been really bad.

I agree that people got excited about the show again, but I think it was mostly because they brought back Bo and Steve. But for me I wanted to see next generation adventure story telling. They haven't set anything up for next gen adventure and that would make more sense than trying to relive the past. It seems like the ones that were drawn in by the return of Bo, may have left in frustration after the less than stellar story he got.

I also understand that a lot of people loved the SK story; I was just frustrated by it. It got to much a/t imo. I think I'm also frustrated because I'm just really realizing that this show isn't ever going to make me happy. So I'm still in the process of letting it go.

Paul's story? Or John's story where Paul is "involved." How much story Will revolve around Paul?

I stick with it. It is certainly better at times than others, but it always seems to ebb and flow.

If I ever get sick of it, I just FF or watch an episode in a few minutes, but I never fully stop watching. I just come on here to bitch about it. :)

I have been watching Days for years. Some days I am totally absorbed other days I am Meh  I always record it so I can FF through what I do not want to see. Some of the writing over the years has been fabulous and other times woeful. I have always liked the show when it had a little humour and fun. I cannot remember the names of the writers who were around in the late 80's when Jack and Jennifer were first paired together, but I did love how they wrote for them and the show. Jack and Steve and Jack and Alice and Tom Horton used to have some fabulous scenes.

I continue to tune in and will continue to do so as long as the show is on air, it's my show I take the good with the bad.
