I'm not entirely sure if JDL actually knows more about this, or if she wrote this up based on the sneak peek pic. |

You know what. Maybe Higley's stupid movie was already in the works and Josh used it to wrap up some crap. |

That whole article sounds vomit inducing so hopefully she knows nothing. |

[twitter=janetd1986/status/695782099832295425] "While Nicole will never have her happily-ever-after with Daniel, she will have this one last moment and so will viewers." Really that's what it says. Interesting how the article was meant for Danicole fans but ... that last sentence could be read with such a different nuance by those of us thrilled to hear it will be the end. |

Well. Thursday sounds remotely watchable. I'm looking forward to Kayla finding out Steve was raped, and John & Marlena - FINALLY - are on-screen again, this time with lines & everything!! Does ANYONE have a clue on when Higley's garbage is permanently over & done with??!! Please!!! Edited by No1_ILoveLucyFan, Feb 6 2016, 08:51 AM.

It's only a romantic predicament in her twisted head. She's probably going to dream that Steve left Kayla for her and that they're going to live happily ever after. She's delusional as usual. |

I hope he tells Kayla the truth, because if he doesn't, that b. will make sure Kayla knows in the worse way possible. If Dena is gone, can they just kill that woman already? I don't think she is insane, I think she is pure evil!!!!!!!! Knowing that Ava is Dena's pet, she was going to make sure she gets away with everything she does and makes Steve look stupid and foolish at the same time. I hate this story. |

I wonder with all of the edits and potential storyline changes we're seeing, if Josh didn't just let this Ava mess play out and planned to rebuild them from the bottom. As nice as that may end up being, I don't want to see any more destruction before that |

And this is why this storyline totally sucks, IMO. They already had the perfect "obstacle" to their relationship with Steve's absence. They were at bottom and being slowly rebuilt...until December. Ava's presence was completely unnecessary here. I have nothing against TB, but why waste money on a contract for her when you're cash strapped, and there are/were plenty of other returns that would have been so much more meaningful for the 50th? |

I think it is easier to change little things than big things Rafe and Hope almost kiss vs kiss, there is still an awkwardness it doesn't really change where they are. But Steve and Ava have things that happen after that rely on that.. .so maybe they make what we see a little less gag-worthingly graphic... but they can't change the event because what comes next for them hinges on the event. They can't rewrite/reshoot whole scripts. They can tweak in edit the stuff that doesn't require rewrites but the Steve/Kayla/Ava stuff already broken would be rewrites. That's my guess anyway. |

We don't know but maybe February 19th? That will be exactly 6 months after her first episode aired and it's also the day Jordi Vilasuso arrives. |

if Dena is really the one who wrote January (as a lot of posters were/are speculating) we might get her back LOL because whether we like it or not the ratings are decent, they had the best week of the regime and other weeks aren't bad either. |

Maybe. Surely they know these things aren't immediate though. Especially when you have big things like a car crash and a murder and a kidnapping happening. It didn't play out well but things were timed well to keep an audience. |

I suspect there's more to her being let go than ratings and story. If past BTS stories are accurate, she is hell to work with. Sony may have just gotten sick of her antics. |

That´s what I´m saying. From what I see Dena is following JER and tries to create conflict. It pisses the supercouple fans off but honestly I don´t think they are a large portion of the audience anymore. And for people like me who is not particulary invested in any of these couples what I´m seeing now is more interesting than what Josh wrote in fall when I thought the show is truly boring until Chabby and the SK storyline took over. I´m not saying I like Higley but atleast she is trying to write stories. Josh was more like a fanfiction writer, just doing things to make hardcore fans and actors happy. |

I thought Josh did a great job writing suspense with the Aiden Bo story as well as the SK while also working on reuniting core couples audiences are invested in. It's not an either or. A good writer can do both. |

Of course it wasn't ratings why she "took" LOA. They had no idea what the numbers will be. Griffith/Higley failed as a team and they decided to keep JG. Speaking of soap ratings in general, IMO there's a tendency which could be described as the more "action" the better ratings. (It's become very obvious with Pratt's material on Y&R) That's why long-term viewers complain about OOC writing. Nobody cares anymore about deeper psychological characterizations, integrity of the characters etc. Soaps are now trying to attract "accidental" viewers with their plots and surprises and it's working (that's why Days' January worked). And it looks like it's the only way for soaps to stay on air. I doubt we'll get good ratings with more traditional style of soap writing these days. Edited by thepadange, Feb 6 2016, 02:38 PM.
